What Does Our Training Look Like Part 2
I don't think people should be barred from competition for bringing their levels back to normal range.... Is a T1 diabetic banned for bringing their insulin to normal range? Why are hypogonadal men discriminated against for treating their illness? just because they're medicine can be abused for an edge?
@@mastershan87 thank you for taking the time to leave a thoughtful comment. When it comes to therapeutic TRT usage, the issue is 1. It’s easy for athletes to go superphysiological, crush their own production, and get a usage exemption (see UFC) and 2. Holding your testosterone levels at a static amount is an ENORMOUS advantage. The body drives down testosterone during intense training in an attempt to preserve homeostasis. If you are taking testosterone exogenously, that will not happen to you and you feel less depleted and preserve muscle, even at “normal” ranges. Again, thank you for the thoughtful question 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@flochfitness4271 that makes sense, thanks for helping me understand.
Many people who have high ferratin levels have normal iron levels. None of these people will tell you how to lower ferritin and have normal Iron level, because nobody knows. I really think most of the people who have high ferritin levels have used steroids in their life. And if you have used steroids, then there is nothing you can do just keep an eye on your liver.
@@jasonxx7578 thank you for leaving a thoughtful response! I’m curious, do you have any research or studies that support your claim about high ferritin levels and steroid usage?
Just started TRT this week. Subcu too . Brain fog the next day was gone . Energy has been nice too .
@@jasonwright1494 solid!!! Thank you for the response. I hope you get exactly what you are looking for on your fitness journey 💪🏻💪🏻

2:48 $750 dollars for a bike whose seat doesn't last, and handles start to rust? I got my stationary bike from Bed Bath and Beyond.... I use a towel on the seat, zero rust, and the only thing that I had to replace was the pedal with actual bicycle pedals and I paid $150 dollars for it.
There supposed to be under you not use as a blanket
@@rasheedzaid5609 hmmm, really?
@@rasheedzaid5609 I’m sorry, you are mistaken. Have you used the product before?
The best piece of cardio equipment is the one that you'll use. It doesn't matter how effective it is if it's being used as a towel rack.
@@waltblackadar4690 from your lips to gods ears! As a matter fact, when a person is first starting out with exercise, my recommendation for cardio is walking as it is the lowest barrier of entry amongst all cardio equipment. The purpose of this video was more so to give individuals an idea of the positives and negative surrounding particular individual pieces of cardio equipment. Is there a modality that you prefer in general? What’s your go to high intensity versus lower intensity exercise?
@@flochfitness4271 My comment wasn't intended as any reflection on the video but just general advice. Finding the right piece of exercise equipment changes the mindset from "have to do it" to "don't mind doing it" (or occasionally "want to do it"). Personally, I'm a Peloton person. I like the leaderboard, it blends well with off-days of weighlifting and it's usually pretty entertaining. I'm probably older than the average commenter, so I alternate low and higher intensity depending on how I feel. I'm not too interested in Tabata rides much anymore. :) If I dropped the Peloton for something else it would probably be an elliptical.
@@waltblackadar4690 solid. My clientele are mostly ageless athletes who are in the same boat as you it seems. Personally, I have given up weights and harder exertion aerobic work for the past seven months in order to recapture some ranges of motion that I gave up long ago that have contributed to different areas of pain in the body along with, decreased the ability to breathe in relax situations. It’s been quite a journey, but it has been very enlightening not only for myself but also the clients that I work with. Cheers brother good luck to you.
@@flochfitness4271 The reason I won't give up weights is because I see what the lack of muscle mass does to older people. Lack of stamina, lack of bone density and far more prone to injuries from simple daily tasks like bringing in the groceries. Now my eating habits (and genetics) don't do me any favors with getting rid of the spare tire around my waist but I'm not going to struggle carrying in a case of water. On the other hand, my range of motion is terrible. At some age I guess you have to decide what to concentrate on. Father Time is undefeated....just trying to extend the clock for a bit.
@@waltblackadar4690 agreed. My thought was, what good is all this muscle if it restricts my range of motion, compresses me, and causes me to get herniated discs when I do electrical work 😂😂😂 That’s when I made the switch. Muscle and strength are two different things to me now.
Bald
How do you clean that?
I drink some mouthwash and then stick the device in my mouth and smoosh it around. Or I just run it under some warm water after using it. 😅
They had this in the hospitals before this product came out.
good to know!
Mine was 12.4. 340 my GP said was in range for my age 52. I felt like saying tell that to my symptoms= since 19 Depression and anxiety on and off, late puberty, patchy facial hair even now shave twice a week, ADHD, poor concentration, very low sperm count and fatigue, but apparently im good to go.
That sounds like it is unbelievably frustrating and want to have someone on your side and at least be empathetic to your cause? If you are looking for advice, please read on. If not, and you were just looking to vent (totally relatable) stop here. What leads you to believe that your symptoms are attributed to low testosterone? What conservative measures (outside of pharmaceuticals) have you practiced to concerning your nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle to address your symptoms?
@@flochfitness4271 in all honesty I don't drink alcohol food is okay sleep is okay, but still have the symptoms. For all I know they could just be coincidental, but those results are low but just in range for my DR (UK) not to treat apparently. I'm not saying they are from low testosterone, but looking at my results and comparing with others they are borderline low so could be a link

My ferritin is 546. I’m following a carnivore diet . Too small to donate. Doctor thinks it is my diet. Could it be my excessive exercise- jujitsu- 4-10 hours week ly? I’m at a loss on what to do - my diet helps me sleep and keeps my blood sugar low.
Donate blood, for sure. Get it down to 100-150. I have the same issue from excessive red meat and vitamin C consumption. Was at 550 odd. I've donated 3 times in 6-8 weeks and got it down to 350 odd so far. Invest in some IP6 too and take milk thistle and curcumin with meals to prevent iron absorption somewhat. Drinking tea and coffee with meals helps too. Decaf works just as well
I think it's a bit of a weird video because you're comparing apples and oranges, I'm looking for a video that shows me which device is better for losing weight and getting stronger, especially for people who are very overweight. I myself hesitate between the Airbike because of its compact size, or a Crosstrainer, but a rowing machine like the Concept also seems nice to have, only they take up a little more space if you are going to use it. I do shock that an Airbike can rustvover the time, but maybe it also depends on how someone uses it, because usually after your done use you Airbike you have to clean and dry your devices of course.
@@Coffeecorner2000 I appreciate the feedback
you are supposed to put your own heavy comforter on top of the cloud sheet so that it seals in the air. you’re missing a key component to comfort here.
@@calistiae thank you for the insight 🙏🏻
@@flochfitness4271 I just received my bedjet and the cloudsheet. still trying to decide if I like it or not. I put the cool air on 55%. I noticed the cloudsheet has to be placed face down on one side. and my comforter does a good job of keeping it close to the body and not floating up.

Ha for sure. How RUclips has changed since I made these types of videos. Appreciate the feedback.
Only use 10 times is crazy loll never will I have to buy it multiple times
Agreed. I have had ones for years now.
I had just ordered a bed jet 3 and as I got the email stating it was shipped and on the way I saw your review and panicked. When I received the bed jet I decided to give it a try. I am a 67 year old woman and it I put it together in about 10 minutes. I did buy the bed sheet that bed jet sells as an extra purchase. I turned the bed jet on high speed and like you said it filled with air and hovered over the bed. Then I read the instructions that states you can put a blanket or comforter over the sheet. Problem solved. I live in very hot humid climate in the summer and very cold in the winter. I usually wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. Using the bed jet, for the first time I finally had a great night sleep. I did not have to have the fan at 100%. I had it on 50% and the temperature at 72. Under the covers it stayed that temperature all night. It not only keeps me cool but dry as well. I am sorry you did not like the bed jet for yourself but for me it is the best purchase I have ever made!
Glad you found relief!!!!
I want to second this comment. I live in a house in Southern California that does not have air conditioning and to have a low level, cool air blowing from my feet at night is nothing short of game changing for my sleep.
The instructions that came with the bed jet make it clear that "The Cloud Sheet works best with the weight of your existing bedding on top of it". We just got ours 2 weeks ago. I have the fitted sheet, cloud sheet, then regular sheet, and also our bed spread. It works great and I feel the covers snuggled in around me. Love this product!!
Absolutely agreed. I struggle to sleep without a weighted blanket, but then I sweat like crazy and wake up anyway. I almost cried the first night with my BedJet because I finally didn’t wake up in a puddle of sweat at 2 am. Best thing I ever bought and honestly I think so many people who don’t like it just set it up wrong. Their customer service is so helpful!! Just ask questions!
Maybe that is a thing we lost evoluting, the more wide nostrils like our past primates.
Could be! Additionally, the shape and structure of bones is often influenced by the environment we are brought up in.
This was a great review
Appreciate it!!!!
I owned a concept 2 rower for years and always ended up with back problems. Spend a ton of time trying to perfect my technique and even shared it with trainers and online. I think my back is just not suited for this type of workout so sold it. Too bad I love the idea of a full body workout in one machine. The ski-erg does look very interesting to me as an alternative but I am wondering if that will cause the same strain on my back.
For those with back pain, it’s best to modalities that don’t create more stress on the back. Biking is usually a safe alternative.

Appreciate that. Working on finishing my first documentary, so may be uploading more soon
I don't think you really addressed high ferritin.
Sorry to waste your time
In order of usage: BikeErg, then RowErg, then SkiErg, then elliptical, then treadmill. I detest machines like the elliptical and the bikes that artificially tie arm and leg motions. So when I use the elliptical, I almost always use it arms-only. I put vastly more time on the bike simply because it is hands-free. I do my morning coffee, email and internet surfing on the bike. For big cardio workouts, the row erg. I like the ski erg for that too, but is is "harder" in that I get more exhausted for the same number of watts. I love running, but outdoors. so I don't use the treadmill much. When the weather's good, I run outdoors for serious cardio. When the weather's poor, I row or ski. I don't agree that it is difficult to ski erg for an hour. You can watch a movie or the news and pass the time just as easily as on the rower. Though not, I suppose, if your ski erg is bolted to the wall. That would require you to watch on a device right in front of your face, and might be a bit claustrophobic.
Great feedback!
Thank you for the honest and comprehensive review!
My sweat stains them.. all of them.

48 before I finally started TRT. When the little things like mowing the lawn start to feel insurmountable, it’s time to get checked. I was way low and probably had been for 7-8 years… trying antidepressants, vitamins, etc. Fellas, during your yearly physical, or any other time for that matter, ask your pcp for a testosterone test. @2:55, I am doing research, trying to identify the name of the sound that some people often make at the beginning of a sentence where it sounds like "tsk", by sucking the back of the teeth with the tongue. I've seen it become much more prevalent in recent years, and I want to do a research paper on why... some people do it much more than others. Has it become more prevalent, or do I just notice it more now?
