Where's the end result?

I think these engines are supposed to be removed on the subframe and the car lifted off the engine. Look up Pontiac Fiero engine to see what I mean. Takes two hours to have the entire engine, transmission and subframe sitting on a stand. But you need a hoist.

Why you didn't drop it from the bottom like it was engineered to be done it was in the air enough.

I bought a 08 Spyder Gt 4 yrs ago, it's been very reliable and while it's not my daily but when I needed to drive it for a couple of months it answered the bell wirh no problems. I recently used it on an 8 hr road trip with no problems. Highly recommend the car. Had the 2G Spyder from 99 to 05 so I was used to all the blind spots. Just change the timing belt and water pump if you by one and you should be good to go providing nothing else is wrong with it.

Is there a reason you took it off or were you just curious to see what was in there?

Next time start with the window rolled down. It makes it ten times easiest to remove and reinstall the inner panel.

Do you turn on the g-sensor and parking guard when you park the car? I heard it may cause problems with the SD card getting full faster if you leave those 2 features on all the time. And has the parking guard feature worked for you? Does the camera turn on using its internal battery when it detects impact?

I own a 07 eclipse and I done a alot of cosmetic changes..I luv it..can u tell me what you used for your radio console?

not bad mate i just taken my intake manifold off fto 6a12 and find., u might not have to drain cooling system i didnt .as the fuel body hoses are at highest point then radiator or head,so there is very little if any coolant spillage.but man a lot of hoses so try and dab a little paint on them to colour code hoses to connections .i only did a couple wish i did the lot.

This also happened to my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse.What i used was furnace cement mix rated at 3,000° F. Worked great for 7 months until i had enough money to buy a new manifold and gasket.

my engine is just like this one, it is leaking oil there in the exhaust manifold that fits into the engine where the gasket goes! the oil does not drip on the floor, it leaks very little, almost nothing! this is a problem should i change the gasket?

I just got mine. 2006 Gt 6sp. Doing major weight reduction. Cutting out the door impact bars will get you -20lbs both doors.

I would cut out the door bar impact beams. I did so on my 97' accord/CL. It was 8lbs per door.
