    For the duration your trades take I don't see why you wouldn't use the H1. I trade London profitably and about the same trade duration, might be worth looking into how the H1 closes/sweeps compared to Asia ^^ Good luck, all trading is is sticking with 1 strategy and iterating while executing the plan.

    Something I did which helped me stressing less and having a clear vision of price was to switch my entries to m5 / m15 sometimes even 1h tf. I see you being right on bias but being caught first so taking a step back can help you increasing your winners. We have a similar trading approach, if we stick to one pair we might not have much frequency (which you can choose that and increase risk) so we add multiple pairs and look for the one with better conditions. You can even try m15 to LO session, m5 to NY session. Give it a shot if it makes sense. Besides that, great video and recaps

    I am also a daytrader, I am up 70% so far this year. I think I have two things that can help you. 1. Trading is not about trying to figure out the next move, no one will ever know. Dont spend time trying to figure out that: 2. Trading is all about applying an edge over time, it can be done almost without any TA. Just find one setup that is easy to spot and trade that (You dont need journal, or study past trade). Accept that you will lose 40-60% and keep trading your edge to perfection. Backtest that one simple edge to get confident, not because you think that you can solve or improve. Focus on risk management and develop a positive traders equation.

      it met all my entry criteria, tehcnically its not a 'missed trade' because that would be like if the trade had hit and then ran to tp. But the trade missed my entry by 4 pips then ran to tp. Had I entered on the fvg above then it would've been a W so in that regard its a missed trade.

    about the risk reward thing depends on your strategy in some strategy it may be good to take off a bit of the position in others it may be more profitable to not take any partials and let it either ride full tp or be or sl you need to review your data if you don't have data on it yet you need to test it and collect data over 100 trades at least on the first test is to take off a part of the position and see what you get over 100 trades and the second test is that you let it ride to full tp or to be and see what performes better

  • @smolshamer6072
    @smolshamer6072 Месяц назад

    Just risk .25% per position and let them ride until New York close. You don’t know what the future holds so who cares. you shouldn’t get upset that a 5:1 position or 10:1 goes back to break even because you just don’t know. Price can move 200-700 ticks in your favor so don’t close early, unless it coincides with some restricted event.
