Read this if you want.
Welcome, I'm Jake, I'm a trader, I'm 21, and I have 3+ years of experience in the markets. I just dropped out of Uni to pursue full-time trading and entrepreneurship.
This channel is primarily for me to rant to you about trading and entrepreneurship and also share with you cool and valuable stuff to do with both.
I will also talk about my business endeavors and skills I'm learning, like developing my content creation, marketing, and sales skills, because I think they're very useful if you want to make a lot of money and I have a lot of free time from trading so why not.
I might dive into fitness, mindset, books, health, and more as well, as my goal is to max out my stats as a man.
If that sounds like something you'd enjoy then follow me, if not I don't really care anyway lol.

Try to focus only on 1 RRthen you will go back to 2RR I GUESS 🎉
For the duration your trades take I don't see why you wouldn't use the H1. I trade London profitably and about the same trade duration, might be worth looking into how the H1 closes/sweeps compared to Asia ^^ Good luck, all trading is is sticking with 1 strategy and iterating while executing the plan.
last week was my worst week everrrrr first time blowing account in 9months
Shit bro. It happens to the best of us... we keep going.
Keep going bro! Each day you are closer to be a profitable trader. Keep learning, do some backtesting, risk low, keep being patience and you will make it.
Thankyou bro appreciate the motivation!
Hey man good video. I would suggest checking out this video where Mark talks about analysing on execution time frames. It really helped me with understanding where low probability trades will form and when you want to actaully be stepping in to the markets. I'm not even in their mentorship just he has really good advice. Keep up the videos man ruclips.net/video/aa64a5wV0zQ/видео.html
Something I did which helped me stressing less and having a clear vision of price was to switch my entries to m5 / m15 sometimes even 1h tf. I see you being right on bias but being caught first so taking a step back can help you increasing your winners. We have a similar trading approach, if we stick to one pair we might not have much frequency (which you can choose that and increase risk) so we add multiple pairs and look for the one with better conditions. You can even try m15 to LO session, m5 to NY session. Give it a shot if it makes sense. Besides that, great video and recaps
Thank you bro, appreciate that. Will definitely consider it as 5-15m are much cleaner usually.
YES YOU WILL!
YAAAA
g
What books have you read so far?
I've read many a book sir, you talking trading in particular?
@ yeah books on trading
are you trading several pairs? it looks like it. well-meant advice from me, concentrate on a maximum of 2 pairs :) i think it's better to master 1-2 pairs than to look for “the one” setup on many pairs.
Unfortunately that would decrease my frequency to like 2-3 a month so I prefer to trade a couple of pairs bro.
@@jakeghattaora sure i know what you mean, i have been in the same trouble. anytime considered to start daytrading on 5m/15m chart?
great recap, losses happen to the best of us. Winners eat losses for breakfast! Time will do the heavy lifting.
Thank you bro appreciate that. Have to turn the L's into lessons.
I am also a daytrader, I am up 70% so far this year. I think I have two things that can help you. 1. Trading is not about trying to figure out the next move, no one will ever know. Dont spend time trying to figure out that: 2. Trading is all about applying an edge over time, it can be done almost without any TA. Just find one setup that is easy to spot and trade that (You dont need journal, or study past trade). Accept that you will lose 40-60% and keep trading your edge to perfection. Backtest that one simple edge to get confident, not because you think that you can solve or improve. Focus on risk management and develop a positive traders equation.
100% agree, i was down 900 pounds on my account focusing on different scenarios but now ive been consistently profitable with one specific setup 👍
if theres a 40-60% lose chance what why not put money on a coin flip bet?? thats an average of 50%😭
That's the reality of trading. On the other side of all your trades. There is an institution betting against you. And to be clear, you only need to win 40% to be profitable if your risk reward is 2:1.

Thankyou bro.
Completed Phase 1 target of 10% today on FTMO - added a screenshot to my channel if you're interested. Keep grinding. Stay positive. And the most important is belief. You need to know you can do it. Thats my biggest battle. Can I really do this or am I just being lucky.
Very true, it's a big mental game. Congrats on passing phase 1, keep your cool on phase 2. 5% Seems easy but I know many people who fumbled it including myself.
@jakeghattaora Yes sir. I've been here before. I passed Challenge and Verification and got to funded twice already but didn't get a payout. So this time I'm determined to do it. If this is my plan for my Life then I have to get it right. The pressure of getting close and missing a third time is really weighing on my mind.
You should show you’re trades like other RUclipsr traders have your screen on
If your entry gets missed by 4 pips is that a missed trade or just a trade which doesn’t meet your entry criteria so it’s not a missed trade?
it met all my entry criteria, tehcnically its not a 'missed trade' because that would be like if the trade had hit and then ran to tp. But the trade missed my entry by 4 pips then ran to tp. Had I entered on the fvg above then it would've been a W so in that regard its a missed trade.
bro when you are profitable over some years you can also go for AUM and then the jouney will start ^^
What is AUM bro?
@jakeyreal assets under management 👍 many traders are getting whealthy investors to trade for them (you get % gain). i know someone who got 20 mio. AUM and is living a very good life. there are also websites specialy for this bro, there you can show the investors your track record and then go one if it fits for them 👌

The psychological aspect of trading is so complex. Currently taking a challenge and despite having a mostly mechanical strategy, I'm still hesitant to enter positions. Looking at my weekly reviews I would've passed a while ago, but in reality Im only up 1%
Honestly the worst is when you hesitate on the first trade which ends up being a winner then take a second setup which loses 😂
@@finfluence3873 Happens all the time lol, then you hesitate again cos you just lost and that wins and its like a perpetual cycle lmao.
It's so true
@@jakeghattaorai think it’s better to master your setup in demo, then start to trade with real fund. because in that case you gain so much experience that wouldn't let your mind to hesitate, you know what's going to happen and you anticipate. if it's not, you pass and wait for another move.
To me is very simple. If your back testing data shows that your strategy gives you 1 to 3rr, then let the trade run until you reach TP. Let the edge play out. You taking partial just shows that you dont trust your data or strategy.
No matter what is your strategy, if you add visible range volume profile poc line as bias 80% of time the price moves accordingly, price above the POC line bullish if bellow Beaseh ❤ I hope all of you make it in trading, love you
can i ask for your telegram link? its not in the bio and i already wanted to connect to you since last time
looking forward for you passing the challenge withing this week mate! keep going
youre best for my psychology .
.25% risk is respectable for positive RR . That’s what you’re supposed to do on positive RR. Base the margin of error on volatility range (ATR) and you can x2 if you’re squeamish and hold it until New York close.
nice video g, where are you from?
you have good answers for some complicated psychology questions, but if you want to go deeper into this, i can suggest you the book The Zen Trader. i think it will bring you much interessting input. maybe the last 10% you need for beeing consitent proitable.
in trading i learned ... listen to the pros and dont overcomplicate things or think you can do it better then traders that are already 10 years in this business. and what is the #1 thing that pros are saying? let your winners run and cut your loosers quick. that should answer your question from the beginning of the video
I like that we are basically taking this tradiig journey with you...and these videos are basically reminders on how to improve day by day....especially with psychology
begining with the smallest account, until you get consistent , it safe you money
Bro why do you keep wasting money on challenges if you still learning to trade and not consistently profitable do trials and demos
Live is the best way to learn. You might perfect your strategy backtesting but you will fold on a real account because you experience 1% of the emotions. I take consistently profitable trades, now I'm just refining my edge and psychology.
demo is just for the absolute beginner trader, and demo only practices the technicals and the trading platform, if you wanna get good psychologically you need to have some money in the game and you can still lose money responsibly wich it seems like he is doing
@@edoardolocascio60 I respect the opinion as a 5 figure trader myself
i am so proud of you starting your new challenge with such good statistics, keep going man
Appeciate it bro. This week should've been another +2.2%, messed up the trade a bit only secured +0.5%, I'll cover that next video.
about the risk reward thing depends on your strategy in some strategy it may be good to take off a bit of the position in others it may be more profitable to not take any partials and let it either ride full tp or be or sl you need to review your data if you don't have data on it yet you need to test it and collect data over 100 trades at least on the first test is to take off a part of the position and see what you get over 100 trades and the second test is that you let it ride to full tp or to be and see what performes better
Just risk .25% per position and let them ride until New York close. You don’t know what the future holds so who cares. you shouldn’t get upset that a 5:1 position or 10:1 goes back to break even because you just don’t know. Price can move 200-700 ticks in your favor so don’t close early, unless it coincides with some restricted event.
I am with Tom Hougaard on the idea of RRR; I can only know what my risk is, not what the market will give me. You can only see how price behaves during the trade at different levels. RRR seems to makes people to invested in their analysis instead of trading the price action.
im on a break too i think i need recalibrate and reset
11:56 I would rather keep the a/c and pull myself out of DD and prove that I can actually trade my way out. otherwise your just likely to repeat the cycle again
You can't beat these human emotions, create specific and defined processes for every situation and stick to them. Carry out purposeful practices to reform your psychology and how the brain works, this takes a long time but is impossible to fix by just saying it. Good luck 🙏
A 10k account, really?
Keep going and learn from mistakes. Enjoy the experiences - Good and Bad ones. It's just like enlightenment. Once it's clicked, everything will make sense to you. Don't give up. 🙂
