We wish to share authentic leaks of videos and audio of Buddhist teachers of all Buddhist traditions, who many a time, cannot speak their mind openly due to pressures and facade of traditions.
Tulku business, a leaked video from a 3rd party source, we can't verify the context of this video.
Dzongsar Khyentse, an eminent Lama in Tibetan Buddhism, which has this strange phenomenon of Tulku, which often are like Feudal Lords...
Here is caught candidly speaking about his own hollow feelings about Tulku system...

Why is this a "leaked" video, Dzongsar Khyentse has spoke this in public. The idea that this is something that was kept under wraps to protect some evil doing. This is openly spoken about and is the subject of the novel "When I'm gone, look for me in the East" It is not the religion that abuses these children but the adults. I watched a prominent "guru" nade a lineage master and her followers try to trap a 2 year old in this system and the law had to be used to force her to stop. I respect Kyentse for for speaking out about the cost to the child but it is not a leak. Compassion is compassion and love is the root teaching of all the heaps of wisdom. Not finding objects of worship in human beings. I mean Steven Segal claims to be a Tulku and it really has made him insufferable.
This can be an evangelist channel 😂
Very smart
Very wise and realistic
So Rinpoche is basically talking about himself perhaps..it made me very sad watching this, for his lost childhood and imposed privilege..
Tulku system of tibetan bhudhism has helped the dhamma remains pure and firm through all these centuries . The unbroken lianage is still going strong . By the way shit do happens but in general it has done more good than harm .
Tibetan Buddhism is highly corrupted and disconnected from actual Buddhism, even including demonic oracles. Especially from the Nyingma school with its invented doctrines. It's possible to notice that Buddhists are actually not Buddhists; in practice, they follow more Samkhya doctrine and do not actually use Buddhist terminology, and so on. This evil abomination in human form even found excuses for a sexual maniac like Sogyal Rinpoche and was involved with the Karmapa Ugyen Trinley's abominable conduct. It's curious how depraved Nyingma masters had so many visions of teachings, but no vision or proof that isolated Dzogchen is not an invented doctrine from the Bön influence, Yummo Miokio Dorje's cycle texts, and the Kalachakra influence.
^ and can we call that buddhist fundamentalism, as ideological as Christian notions, suggesting pure awareness can only tolerate one incarnation ? did Shakyamuni Buddha appear in Gaza 2024? or in a culture that supported the dharma of Shakyamunii Buddha- and his own understanding of a lineage of buddhas
Not sure if it's a Tibetan thing or just good manners but I see the long consideration of questions- the gaps by this teacher and Ringo Tulku, a kind of demonstration of the power of dependency. You all depend on me so whatever comes out my mouth will be perfect to you. I have my thoughts but may as well go on playing the master game. What all I really am , is a career criminal!
The dependency system is what keeps me in business, so let's say something original and outrageous about all we hold dear
and so independent of evil's game, we sneer . good luck with that
A career criminal!
What a wisdom lesson ! What a compassionate and loving rinpoché ! ( The title of the video is misleading. When DKR says "business" he means "all this stuff", I guess )

I really like this man and am glad your personal issues resulted in me finding out about him. I am just learning about Buddhism in any serious fashion and it really amazes me how the RUclips algorithm so often acts like karma. Nothing personal. I have a huge asura trunk of problems too.
For example 17th karmapa.
I always thought same thing ,never said it. Realize your true nature ,no matter what and be a good person, careful with choices. .. too late for me lol
The words of my imperfectly perfect teacher in this universe of spontaneous nothingness. Thank you teacher. I implore all to study the teachings of Shakyamuni, analyze them, understand them and determine if it is suited for you at every levels and facets of your life and decide if you want to inculcate them into your life.
He is trying very hard to put matters across carefully
yes sure, and prosaically. but dint he just say he has no nsight into tulku nature and its nirmana manifestation
I have been around the tibetan tulkus for almost 50 years and I totaly agree with you. I have seen and heared many sad stories.
When many self proclaim Buddhist missing the main purpose of Buddhism. It is no diff from loving the K pop idol.
Namaste your holiness. I invite you to Bihar. Your holiness. I do research on Vajrayana Buddhism in Bihar. You must remember in ancient Times Bihar and the Indian planes was dangerous for Tibetans and wasn't conducive for them to goroaming all over India. Basically all the Vajrayana Indian Mahasiddhas were bunched in one area in Bihar. Ancient Tibetans knew the route there and back. This happens to be in Lakhisarai District of Bihar. You should visit Kajra in Lakhisarai District of Bihar. Kajra has been mispronounced in various ways by different ancient Tibetansn. Kajra was mispronounced as Kagyu, Kajra was mispronounced as Jagora in the Tilopa story, and Chakthani as Chativavo, In the Vajravarahi story Kajra is mispronounced as the pure land of Kijila, in the Shambhala story Kajra is mispronounced as Kalapa, and the Jhana river was mispronounced as Jonang school of thought. Kajra has several dakinis as deities, and next to Kajra is Narottimpur village where Naropa stayed when he was northern gate of Vikramshila. Kajra is the victory band around Atisha's palace, and near Kajra are two villages with Tibetan names. They are Marpa Khurd and Marpa Kalan in the name of and incient Tibetan called Marpa. Next to Kajra is the Kalchakra stupa where the Buddha imparted the Kalchakra teachings. And next to the stupa is a huge mud mound which has the three dimensional Kalchakra Mandala. The lovely part the area around the Kalchakra Mandala is in Atisas name. Your holiness, you should visit Kajra in your life. Because the concept of the Dalai Lama being an incarnation of Avalokiteshwar started on the Potala hill which is just behind Kajra town. Close to Kajra are Urain mispronounced as Urgain in the Tibetan seven line prayer. Northwest of Urain is Dhanari lake which Tibetans call Lake Dhanakosha. Southwest of Dhanari lake is Sahur again mispronounced as Zahor by Tibetans. Sahur/Zahor has a dakini temple who undoubtedly is Mandarva. Please view the video, ‘Padmasambhava’s life in India. (2)’.
What’s the big deal about mispronunciation, with time everything is bound to change. Even indus was mispronunced and evolved into India , let’s move forward please
@@MadMax-bht it's because of the mis pronunciation, India failed to identify with the Buddhist story.
@@MadMax-bht I suspect you were a North Pointer. The name sounds similar.
You researched really deep and the problem with mispronunciation is that by time people forget the original locations where things originated and thats how in centuries to come all this will be labelled a myth and some non existent place.
the eastern length of india was so quickly transformed by buddhists educating a few women and generally questioning the vedic caste system the warrior caste soon produced its masterpiece, Bhagagvita- a defense of militarism. seems for a while north-western india could fight off military invaders- eg Alexanders & Khans- but when more ideological & monotheist Mughal invasions came, buddhists certainly did not resist ... and 200 years later, buddhist leadership & training between Nepal and Celon was disappeared. then Brits arrived with gifts of trains & capitalist empire! stole what they could and re-imposed the ancient caste system. india is a broken heart for all buddhist lineages @@buddhaexhumed9922
. Please allow me to interrupt. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. In Pidhauli (Vaishali) the local deity is Bardiha Baba. Bardiha means the Baba who didn't allow us to stay where he was staying. Bardiha Baba is the Buddha no doubt because he didn't allow the crowd of Lichavies to stay with him in Bandagama. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to Buddhists.
I also do not mean to interrupt but when you said Buddhist only serch for buddha. Now as a Buddhist myself we see buddha as a guider Our goal is not to search buddha but attend buddha hood. See in vajrayana buddism we believe everyone is buddha. Bz we all have Unlimetless potential and compassion but it's covered in ignorance, ego, hatred so forth.. So when we go beyond that wall of ignorance that what we mean by buddha. My purpose of this was just to clear ur doubt.
@@Samtraveler9 I am doing research on the physical Buddha, not the Buddha of the mind. Its of scholarly interest. Research on the physical Buddha, and the other Buddhist characters. What I have come across is mind boggling.
@@Samtraveler9 I was talking about research on the physical Buddha who started it all.
Really appreciate all the information but vajrayana is very different branch of Buddhism and i guess sakhyamuni buddha has a little role to play in this tradition thats why the vajrayana practioners are not so much keen on doing research. Vajrayana practitioners believe there were countless buddhas before and will be many more after, this tradition believes Guru Rinpoche as their main figure and not the sakhyamuni Buddha. Not saying they dont worship and follow buddhas teachings, that they do with utter respect and dedication. In vajrayana there are so many deities they worship unlike mahayana where sakhyamuni buddha is the centre of their beliefs. Just sharing my opinion, and trying to understand buddhism in depth and i believe exchanging views and ideas helps in this.much love to you
excellent dialectic. but is vajrayana more than 'buddhist'? where are Bihar's Mahasiddhas today? might you also please explain what became of India's practitioners of buddhist tantras? or what became of the resources n communities around Nalanda, the buddhist madyamika university? maybe these are just obscure academic words today. yet does it not seem the Tibetans present ancient systems of advanced yogas once developed in India yet no longer seen there?
🙏❤
it is obvious tibetan budhisim is contorted and really is lamaism and for long time its people had been subjugated to this and was in many ways tibetans was strayed into this . in many ways the Lamas abused it standings and indictrinated the society to fit into their structural heirachy. it is almost far removed from the true essence of buddhisim and the teachings of buddha

When talking too much then talking rubbish. Tulku is a religious privilege.
here? true... yet a realized tulku will also present siddhis, eg., Clarity into other beings, or Knowing across times. this is why genuine lamas test important tulkus as children about their recollection - before their study & development of power & compassion hopefully begins
i dont understand what is the point of your title and description? - This is already well known and Ven. Dzongsar Khyentse has already said same things in public speaking. - This is already well known topic and infact almost all teachers have talked about this. I think even Dalai Lama has talked about this in public gathering... i dont understand what is "controversial" or "hollow" about this? - He was talking about how it can affect a child's thinking and life in a negative way. Obviously it can take them in the wrong path, even though Tulku are realized beings. You have to take the example of Shakyamuni Buddha's life in luxury and ignorance until he took to the forest. How hard is this to understand? 😂 Please learn buddhism first before making such weird titles and description...
Why are you talking about leaked? Dzongsar Khyentse is of all the lamas the most outspoken against things that are going wrong in his own tradition. It's in his books, it's in his public talks.

dude is not a Big Lineage Face so if this is the worlds eminent mind... how did this alleged tulku just explain he has no insight to offer concerning the child's tulku-ness? is that how it works these days? maybe the nimanas are bigger than our philosophies
This isn't leaked video... this was one of his public teaching.
To my ear, and I listened carefully, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche is speaking specifically to these parents about a very specific 7 year old and giving information that is specific to this situation. He is cautioning them to be careful and is providing sensible advice on how to best raise the child for optimal mental and emotional health. In the channel notes from the person who “leaked” this video - he/she called Tulkus a “strange phenomenon”. It’s not a Western phenomenon - but calling it “strange” is just a cultural bias/judgement. Also labeling RInpoche’s feelings as “hollow” is quite a projection. Nothing has been “leaked” here except for a very wise person giving specific advice to a family raising a child who has been recognized as a Tulku. And his advice seems very compassionate and sensible.
I'm one of those kids. His advice is spot on.

so for some unknown reasons of western phenomenology there are- and we assume, cannot be- any western tulku suchness? someone should have warned the Kagyu and Nyingma lamas before they started empowering... whatever. talk about conceptual biases. cant see what we dont want to know
right on @@28105wsking. it's become such a commodity best to cool expectation and just integrate the elements. its not like we dont have time

Maybe better to hang around a bit, learn a lot about something new and different, get a better feel for the man and his situation. listen to his teaching, try to see from his cultural perspective, before you leap to conclusions. You could be completely mistaken. But more important than calling names is for you to look at your own mind and see how the shape of emotions shapes your conceptualizations and how the tenor of your conceptualizations twists whatever appearances present to you. Examine your own mind and use it to understand yourself better. The gurus are always pointing to our own minds and how they work in every situation. Its very uncomfortable, but its easier to see when its uncomfortable than when its comfortable, because that state of mind is more invisable to us.
Rinpoche having been treated as a Tulku yourself, we know you have first-hand experience about how you feel Tulkus have been treated. You do not have to be Mahasiddha to know how you have been treated and how that bears fruit and results. Karmapa 16 was very skillful in his continuation to Karmapa 17! His prediction letter Karmapa entrusted to HH Situ Rinpoche and enshrouded the prediction letter in a cloak of secrecy. When Karmapa gave this letter to Situ Rinpoche, Karmapa 16 told Situ Rinpoche to “Keep this close to your body because it would be very important in the future.” After Karmapa’s Parinirvana, Situ Rinpoche searched for 10 or 15 years asking everybody if Karmapa had left them with something. After searching everywhere, Situ remembered that Karmapa 16 had given him something. So funny that Rinpoche was searching everywhere while all along it was actually “right under his nose”! Like the Nature of Mind it was “too close and too simple”! Searching for the prediction letter gave K17 time to grow up with his family although signs at the time of K17's birth all the local families knew that this was a “special” rebirth. Knowing that the modern man would be very skeptical about not only reincarnation but also the continuation of the same stream of consciousness from one life to the next, Karmapa was so skillful that his new incarnation, K17, looks extremely similar to his prior incarnation, K16. For me, this removed all doubt! ☸
I am sorry, but there is something that confuses me in your comment. How can there be talk of Parinirvana first and rebirth second if Parinirvana implies the cessation of cyclical birth and death?
@@Fisiere05 For many this process is involuntary. For some, the process is voluntary, although you can risk going astray and back into ignorance. It's very, very risky so people who do this have to know what they are doing.
and please recall the bodhisattvas 'returning', a compassionate engagement with the sufferings of samsara@@Fisiere05 . perhaps also consider- is our experience of time always linear as materialists describe it? or are there some paradoxes in our language in trying to discuss the everpresent buddha-mind ?
This (finally) explains why high ranking lamas can be narcissistic, entitled, abusive (sexually and emotionally), concealers and deceivers.
& also light bringers.
What audience would these new - found tulkus be addressing? Tibetans will likely think it is some sort of outreach to Westerners, and Westerners not already familiar with the tulku system will largely find the entire framework outdated. And, aside from the problems such as entitlement and emotional immaturity as the child is growing up, it will be even worse when he as an adult, is on the throne. and the Western audience will be whispering "the emperor has no clothes"! Even worse if the child, now adult, actually has the siddhi of reading minds and perceives this. Look around and notice the average age of your sangha members. May we all reassemble in the pure lands!, but I don't see it as viable going forward in the context of the younger generations. The Western tulkus of the future will have to find teaching methods more appropriate to Western culture. In this case, an actual tulku will find the imposed and inappropriate teaching methods to be an actual impediment.
It is easier now to become an independent tulku and choose a good family, to live deliberately and in direct service to the community in a useful way.
is tulku merely a political title? or is there any class of bodhisattva tulkus authenticated through rigorous traditional tests? one of the requirements for a western tulku to teach is a near-PhD in these very traditions; so understandably some tulkus may be less inclined to teach, than to get fat. like any system, it works if we work it -- and it destroys us when we allow our ignorance to lead. agreed, using our endogenous western methods is most helpful here. yet we have to teach them to know them - meanwhile our institutions are in collapse. let's all appreciate how we have night-and-day on both sides of our growing planet
@@leosullivan9228 my understanding is that tulku is a bodhisattva in the Tibetan tradition. Like all bodhisattvas, they are not bound to any set of dogma. Instead they teach by example.
Oh! They leaked a video that is public and well known! They should work for the FBI! and here we are, Westerners, saying how other cultures should carry their religions! because of course, we Westerners are the absolute owners of the truth and no one else! Anyone who is not even a consumerist Westerner is stupid and primitive! They need us to tell them how to be, how to think and how to act, what to correct and what to change... we are so special!
ty for the profound lols. indeed a dialectics of ancient forms is only just beginning among serious meditators East and West. but for the care free... love may be obvious
Awesome, thank you.
The days of tulku should end. The days of guru and guru yoga should end as well. The days of the "whispered lineage" should also end. All aspects of Dharma should be available to all without hierarchy or inequality. I practice Tantra and I can tell you I have had many teachers and taken many vows, but I am only human and my teachers are only human. There are profound and subtle aspects of the Dharma and especially Tantra (Vajrayana) that require extensive education and experience, and these will be of great benefit both in thus lufe and at the moment of passing. But the awakening is within the practitioner, within the student, its up to THEM to walk the path and recognize their own nature. The Dharma is the most personal & intimate thing there is, but the more you focus on these EXTERNAL and DUALISTIC factors as mentioned above the more obstacles you create within the practitioner. We need PURE Dharma and genuine Dharma, not more ego and obstacles. Open up the precious and profound Dharma to ALL. All are human, All are Buddhas!
Reply from a senior teacher within the JAPANESE VAJRA tradition ( SHINGON ) : It is VERY, VERY dangerous what you are promoting . Please be aware that along the lines of COSMOLOGICAL analysis BUDDHA SAKYA taught us ( in accord with the BHAVACHAKRA ), it is an entirely non-controversial BUDDHIST assumption that the forces of MARA attempt -- willfully, systematically, and in careful cooperation with human enterprise -- to undo the superior teachings of the DHARMA . Along these lines, the modern forces of anti-BUDDHIST propaganda ( e . g . CCP ) ACTIVELY hunt / disparage the reputation of our ancestral institutions -- TULKU included -- in an attempt to undo their cultural relevance and destroy the BUDDHADHARMA . In fact, according to the ACTUAL philosophical sweep of your argument I almost have to wonder -- are you paid to read from the CCP pulpit / brochure, sir ? Part of the problem with not taking the supernatural assumptions of VAJRA-style BUDDHISM seriously is that you are personally " disarmed / liable before MARA " -- meaning you do not possess the philosophical basis to resist the methods by which he ( MARA ) might run away with your very tongue ... ! Nevertheless, as is the case in all instances where our behavior may be in doubt : may we take refuge before the TRIPLE GEM, seek mutual restraint, and be excused from the promulgation of ADHARMIC speech / philosophy which is well known to ruin the precious storehouse of our accumulated merit .
@@senorbeckon @senorbeckon @senorbeckon The only thing I am "promoting" is open direct access to pure Dharma, free of dualistic, sectarian hierarchies that are inconsistent at best, and even worse, elitist, exclusionary and abusive. I have NOT spoken against the profound, subtle "super natural" elements of Tantra -Vajrayana, only the hypocrisy and dualistic confusion of packaging them in certain "containers" who have managed to be convinced (or convinced themselves) that they are "exceptional." What makes someone "special" in this regard is their long studies, their experience, skill, sensitivities and articulational abilities to convey the truth - but "special" does NOT come by birth status, race or rank or title. "Do, but don't entitle, rank or lable" would be my motto. The Dharma is profound, Tantra is profound, the "secrets" of Vajrayana are profound... but, presented through a mechanism preference and selectivity that merely introduces another dualistic concept and increases the ILLUSION of individual ego, they are like the demons we face in the Bardo state, pure in nature but dualistic in appearance. I have had many great teachers who on occasion have conveyed some fairly bad information. I have also occasionally encountered some really bad teachers who have similarly conveyed some very helpful information. From the ultimate perspective such things are **all good** in that they are of one nature which cuts through the fears and hopes of the ego. I am grateful to all and for all. You began your response by declaring your own "credentials" as a "senior teacher" as if that means the slightest thing to me OR to the truth of the Dharma. There is, in your declaration, more than a bit of irony. It's an example of the tricky nature of maya, the ego, the lord of demons. Perhaps you should consider what I am saying and not jump to conclusions in support of your "high" status? How will that help you in the long run anyway? May you have happiness. May you be free of sorrow. May you be never separated from true happiness free of sorrow. May you abide forever in equanimity, free of grasping, free of aversion. 🙏❤
God damnit (no pound intended) You though lamas were extraterrestrial or zombies or ghosts or semi gods?

Monastic institutions made up the tulku and dalai lama reincarnation recognition so that they could select little kids who they thought had potential to be trained into great masters. A child getting top notch education from a young age by a bunch of masters ideally produces leaders. Pure dharma ingrained from a young age. They couldn’t just take kids so they told the parents that their kid was the reincarnation of a master. It’s a lie to steal kids and raise great masters
but is it a noble lie ? the child ends up happier and in a better position because of it.
hh 14th dalai lama has declared direct cognition of his past lives, stated he is the direct rebirth of the 13th dalai lama, and that he is a literal emanation of chenrezig if you possess mere folk observation of your mind, speak little about its function.
when it comes to the thinking mind, our opinions are our confessions
Do you forgive them?
Excelent and wise advise - from my point of view. The world is changing... So, some method must be adapted to the new world in order to have a better answers.
I take from this not that the Tulku system is "bad" in itself, but simply from a past era, and in many cases no longer applicable to or efficacious in these times, especially when applied by rote, in the traditional way. From a personal perspective, this cautions us as practitioners that not all Tulku can be taken at face value. This seemed very rational and well thought out to me. Ie., being scandalized is another form of attachment. Practice discernment, rather than seeking to pass judgement.
