I just think it’s more time and effort than souls games. Souls games I can hop on and blow past enemies, since it’s more skill-based, but games like genshin require more dedication lol 😆

i dont think a gacha game that requires a lot of grind can be qualified as a difficult game let alone be harder than a soulslike game. genshin being more time consuming doesnt mean its hard when you can just recklessly spend money to make your character stronger, whereas Elden Ring on the other hand is exactly the opposite of that.

@@hamsol true, I guess after platinuming some of the souls games and putting in the time and effort, they seem easy once you know all the monsters' attack rotations, etc.. i was free to play genshin for a year before paying anything, so it probably just seemed harder until I had a good maxed out 2 groups for spiral abyss

Great point! For some reason I expected there to be leveling outside of the combat and more like persona going into it blind. Great point! I found a lot of earlier bosses and dungeons in Dawntrail harder! I think they design the normal versions of these fights so almost anyone can get through them.

I hope to finish some extremes soon! The trial mounts for Dawntrail look cool!

Excellent Question! It’s basically the Talent Development Minigame in Danganronpa 2 with all the characters in the series. It’s very very repetitive with only one map to play on, so I found it boring after the first 10 hours. 🎊🎉

Yep! The best advice I can give when soloing is as soon as you take damage from a trap to not move and make sure to potion/heal up! 🎉✅

Thank you for replying! I definitely agree that "not being forced to enjoy the game" at a certain pace is a good idea. However, I think there is a difficulty in having to participate in the variety of gameplay things Genshin makes players to regularly (Spiral, timed trials dungeons, bosses, daily quests making players go out in the world). You're right that the time is artificially created, and even though it isn't a skill difficulty, it is a sort of difficulty of will and difficulty in being forced to play event games and in different ways. I've played and platinumed most of the souls games, demon souls, dark souls 1, 2, 3, elden ring, and bloodborne, as well as some DS-type games like hallow knight and mortal shell, but I've always felt after the first playthrough, playing again always became a bit trivial, just to collect a few items =)

Genshin's gameplay sounds very varied from what I hear from you, especially with the team combos and unique ways to deal with enemies, even if I'm not a live service or gacha person to be interested in playing it, It's still great to know the game has a lot of stuff to do, and I see why you'd find it more interesting than most souls games. I'm personally just a sucker for games with normal difficulty that can be made an absolute joke with being a master of the mechanics like ultrakill, megaman zero, the doom games and mario titles. So you can see where the opinions differ.

Great point! Genshin Impact having a variety of challenges makes players change up gameplay, and souls games, which I play all of them, only have like 2 ways to approach every single fight in the franchise.

Great question! I don't have an on VV set EM hat or on VV set EM goblet, so I ended up choosing the VV anemo damage, to keep the set bonus. It's wild I haven't goten an EM VV hat or goblet yet, since I've been playing everyday since launch and grind VV domain the most.

I found a workaround! I stole my Venti's EM VV Hat, so Kazuha now has triple EM! Thank you for pointing that out!
