?
Can you please make the lyrics version because I really really really really need one?
I can stand high on Rannoch and look down on Glencoe I can dream of the Jacobites who died in the snow I can sail up the Forth and watch the bridges gliding by I can watch the smoke of Grangemouth painting dirty watercolours in the sky This is my land … Caledonia … Call it “Scotland”, call it “Alba” or the “Land o’ the Leal” Land of factory and shipyard, of heather and sea … I belong to the land I live in and the land is in the deepest part of me There’s a monster in a loch and there’s a submarine down there. There’s fishing boats in Buckie and there’s berryfields in Blair’ There are galleries in Glasgow and there’s rigs off Aberdeen and there’s castles nearly everywhere from Wick and John O’ Groats to Gretna Green! From Stromness up to Lerwick, there’s a ferry you can ride In Mull and Crail and Staffa there are caves where you can hide From Penicuik to Broughton, you can walk the Border Hills and from Peebles down to Kelso you can hear the clanking looms and rumbling mills I can see from the castle to the Ochils and the sea I can stand in Fife and look across the Tay to see Dundee I can look across the Tweed to Flodden Field and Yetholm Town and see all the way to Ireland as I face the west to watch the sun go down

This is a fun dance, to keep you nfit and sober
Caledoniaa.. call it Scotland call it Alba..
original song ?
If you are ceilidh-dance curious, give it a try ! It is physically impossible to feel miserable when doing these dances. VERY aerobic and (probably) top for Peripheral Insulin Clearance and Mental Health ! GO ! FOR ! IT ! ! !
Cool.
😅
Do you have dances like this regularly?
What is the name of the song?
When you are ooffered an opportunity to dance in this kind of venue, if you can do it, go for it. You may be appreciated for participating and interacting with the local community.
lets see you do better
Great to see also from the cockpit! I'd really love to come visit one day
This is the higher resolution version ruclips.net/video/FVHY9M3xL7k/видео.html

first prize, man in waistcoat, girl in shorts and black tights... joint 2nd, girl in jeans, man in t shirt tan jeans = Girl is skirt and boots, man in red shirt.... prize for effort, two girls, torn jeans and skirt black tights.... delightful to watch
I totally agree with your rankings. They all were a joy to watch, for various reasons.
This is not the Military two step, in any shape sense or form. It's totally garish.
I suppose different people have different standards for everything. This is just a local East Lothian ceilidh with band members who have performed live with Steve Wonder for President Clinton and got their best song to be the star of the show in a major Holywood movie.
@@rbr747 performing with Stevie Wonder or getting a song into a Hollywood movie, is not in dispute. I am senior Classical sequence(Old Time) dancer, I have danced the Military two step at championship level. I have also seen it done in Old Time Dances and it was not butchered like this. The walks, points and the Pas de Valse have been left out. As for standards there are none present.
This isn’t an episode of “Strictly”, just a family Christmas ceilidh dance where everyone friend or relative is having…FUN! Pas de valse?🤣 Critics. Tcha!
@@johnyoung6900 who mentioned strictly? Not me personally I prefer the old Come Dancing show which was purely about Dancing. I simply stated it's not the Military two step, which is a classical sequence (Old Time ) dance, not a Ceilidh dance. Yes the Pas de Valse is missing, clearly you know nothing about Classical sequence (Old Time) Dancing.
@@paulathomas.graham7693 I can guarantee you that no one there knows anything about, “classical sequence (Old Time) Dancing”, but we do know how to enjoy ourselves and that’s the essence of a ceilidh. Claim it as your own if you wish but every ceilidh I’ve been involved in since primary has included it and boo hiss if it doesn’t meet your competition standards. Butchered, garish…surely that’s a bit harsh?
This is nothing like the dancing in Holiday on the Buses...
Thanks for that

Lovely to watch , where is the location?
Tyninghame hall
Yes, great energy alright. I used to love it - and still do. Done it 100 times and more. I feel sorry for the poor lad who just can''t work it out at all - just a case of some people have rhythm in them ... but good for him going to the end.
ive 2 left feet too but for a year i danced in the ceilidh too help the tourists, the fun part now was the pesky band taking the piss outta me but it is what it is,the fun the buzz from thewhole night makes it all worth while
I remember getting taught this in PE at school! Nobody liked it because it meant everybody was touching each other, especially when the boys had to put their the girls waist, most of us hovered our hands away from each other so as not to make any contact with anyone else.
Same
same thooo but the boys acc didn’t mind it it was the girls that hated it
Hands up the sleeves 😂
yip. Remember the hovering hand very well....i almost carried that habit thru to adulthood. We were a strange bunch
I do this still at school
This is a bit too slow
Hi I’m just getting ready to
Fuck you
Lovely energy. Wish I was there.
what did you shoot this vid on, cheers
My Lumix GX-7. Very portable
He came to my school we sang that song back in 2016
fuck sake we had to sing this all the time in primary
Same 😑
do not say that
I go to the strathesk primary in Penicuik
I go to that school but I go 2018
Love this song
perfect
Aaaaaaa
The man in the waistcoat and the woman in the red shorts are very good!
They both look like they step-dance.
Hotpants!
but surely the couple with perfect rhythm is/are the boy in orange trousers, red haired and wearing glasses .. perfect timing..perfect lol.
@@1507l690 I'm watching this again, and I agree. They were very good right from the start, whereas the other couple needed time to warm up. They got the OUTSIDE feet doing the heel-toe-heel-toe correct.
thats my violin teacher
I go to that school
I sing this song
What do I need to search to find the music for this song as I sang it in primary but could never find the song
SAME.
