New England Swamp Yankee
Добавлен 3 июл 2012
Gardening, mechanic work, carpentry, hunting, fishing, camping. I want to share stuff I have had to learn the hard way about life, work, family and God. I won’t get preachy and I won’t attack you with my beliefs in a how to or diy video.

I have a pair i carry in the rule pocket of my overalls. Endured much ridicule until someone needed to borrow them. Most came in with a pair the next day!!! Buy Vise Grip brand ONLY! My opinion
Awesome vintage knife, and great story. New sub brother 🤙🏽
Been carrying a Buck 110 since about 1980 that I will pass along with others to my sons. Great knives. Edit: I still have a Boyscout knife from the 1960s that my Dad gave me when I was 8. Knives are cherished connections to our Dads. Guns too, still have my first .22 rifle. A Marlin model 60 from 1971 Dad gave me. Absolutely priceless keepsakes.
Buck made MILLIONS of 110s, prolly the most copied knife in the world. Basic design that's extremely useful.
Scientifically, this sheath passes the LAB TESTS😂
Buck 110 is iconic, great knives. Enjoyed hearing the story of your dad's knife.
@@paulmurphy8705 thanks man
İt looks tasty
I don't know quite how I found this video (something to do with my love of distinct regional accents and cultures), but I like it. I am NOT a Yankee- swamp or no- and may qualify as the historical opposite of one (I'm from Alabama), but I come from the same kind of blue-collar, farming stock as you, just separated by a couple of thousand miles.... Anyway, you've got an interesting manner of speaking, and a fine way about a story. God Bless you, and good luck.
Is this chumlee from PawnStars?
@@Flaksting I’m not that fat, dude lol
Was the gas pump clicking when u tried to fill up
Kinda look like Rip Torn there a little
All of that training youve done, has gotten so deep , the skillset couldnt rust in place. That is why you trained so hard back then, so it would be there without thinking about it now . As one Swampyankee EMS person to another, job well done !
Worth every bit of $10. 👋 greetings from Hickory,NC.
That knife is tip up orientation. It's a dropout
That d2 on the ozark actually out performs other main brand knife companies it was so supriseing that they tested two different knife. And had the same results this ozark knife is great if ozark keeps this up they are gona make other knife companies worry.
lol funny story
I found mine at the Lisbon, CT Walmart; they've got a much better sporting goods department than Brooklyn.
Great video
I have a regular cab silverado do you think the fuel filler neck off a crew cab will fit?
Well said
Heal well 🙏
Swamp Yankees are also in southeast Massachusetts, the Cape and islands too. They are Yankees who live below the high water mark! Check out the Westport fair in July. Lots of swamp Yankees there. And a lot of fun!
🙏
This is marvelous! Thank you 🙏
I bought one a couple months ago and I had the worst experience with it. The waffle head isn’t as pronounced as a Vaughn, I guess I got a defective model but it would not grip on nails at all and I would hit my thumb because the face would slip off the nail head. So I went back to my Vaughn 19oz curved cali framer and haven’t missed a nail since. I might go back to get it switched to get one with a better head at harbor freight but for now I’ll still sticking to my Vaughn
I do not see it as much help in real trim work. Rarely corners are a true 90 degrees.
Dude… so cool! I heard RFK Jr talk about you guys on a jocko podcast and I came across the right guy! LOBSTA!
Thank you for talking and not showing what you did
You’re welcome
It takes about 3 weeks but it’s worth it
I need to send my old surge in. The tip of the pliers cracked off and the can opener is cracked in half and the stupid plastic thing on the scissors fell off
I use my 4 1/2 trim square for woodworking works great. not the best for rafters
I walked in to Lowe's and got mine. I love it for woodworking.
I hardly used a vise-grip or locking pliers. I need to get a part out of chair wheel base, which is rusted tight. I though perhaps sich a tool would get it loose. Hammering with small plier and WD-40 and anti lock spray did nothing
I see these also with either top or bottom handle with rubber grip. Does the even hold over time. I wonder if i should get one of those or just the bare metal ones.
Where did you get your pouch? I want one.
I bet you would like the Engineer PZ-64 locking pliers. They're about the same size (but have a bulkier comfort grip) and have deep vertical teeth cut into the tip specifically for grabbing and turning screw heads.
Why would anyone make a video about a tool and merely explain how it's off without showing it? This is video, bro, not radio! Useless!
I believe you're right that it's the same as the estwing. The same factory makes the estwing, harbor freight and big horn hammers.
I’ve worked in metal fabrication and my supervisor loooved his 5 inch vice grip. I always asked him to let me use it for those times you need grip. He kept his in a leather holster. He got me into it and I learned just how handy these things can be. I just ordered my own leather holster now too 😅 honestly gets more used then a knife for me.
I have a 09 silverado and I can’t get rid of evap p0442 code I’ve replaced everything in the evap system and gas cap this is going to be my next solution
I have had that code for a while too what happened to me it was the filler neck the steel tube was rotted out and pouress until it gave complete rusted thruu and gas started leaking when pumping gas! I’m pretty sure that what happening to your!!
That’s the same beer I got drunk off of back in the days😂😂😂😂
did you have to drop the gas tank?
Yes, these Pittsburgh framing hammers are indeed good. But buying a Vaughan or Estwing puts Americans to work making them. Not all things made in China are bad, but in this day and age buying Chinese is ultimately going to kill us and our economy...........unless Biden beats the Chinese to the draw.
Which eye is the good eye?
The right one, left has about forty ish per recent vision to it
Prayers.
LOL... Interesting tagging me in on this one mate. I can't remember my first beer purchased but I'm guessing it would have have been at the Gladstone Hotel in Toowoomba back when I was about 15, and they probably had XXXX Bitter on tap. How things have changed since I was a boy, cheers ;)
I was hoping it was fosters lol
I'm jealous! Was 66 in Atlanta when I got up. I can't freaking wait for the cold
Love coffee and love the bible it's simple
Hell yeah brother, thats the attitude!
Yeah!
God is Good brother. Great video. I am a Baptist and carry the exact same EDC and am also a paramedic. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work.
Thank You for all of the extra information. I appreciated all of the tips.
