Yeah… and while wasting animal skin is nearly criminal (agree with you there), maintaining the current levels of animal meat consumption is what’s causing the primary problem leather alternatives are designed for. If we cut beef production globally by 90% there’d probably still be plenty of leather leftover for making new products, but this content seems kinda misleading. Personally, I just wish beef didn’t taste so good and that the chemica processes for curing leather was better for the environment. If you can point out how you source your materials that would be great, though.
