At the crucial end of the fourth quarter, UE's Wilson hugged the ball and was clobbered by three La Salle players trying to make a steal. I was shocked when the referee charged Wilson with an offensive foul! I thought one of the La Salle players had committed a foul, or that they had whistled for a jump ball or traveling violation on Wilson. This offensive foul charged against Wilson really shocked me.

Pre is the guy to watch for FEU. I see him as a Carl Tamayo fascimile. He can break down his man from the perimeter with his handles, has great hands, has very good footwork, soft hands, can defend, and pretty decent from the line.

As we had observed in this game and in previous games, nagsa-sag yung defense sa kanya leaving him wide open often sa top of the arc. Madalas niyang hindi tinetake advantage ito although we already saw him take (and make) a three in this game. Aside from the free throws woes: Stevens still ineffective. A big body but doesn't know how to box out much less shoot the 3 footer; Chico still cant hit the 3 pointer! Lapit na lang sa mid range. He will lose his rotation to Bayla. Belmonte still couldnt defend. Lopez so passionate but tends to be out of control. Can be easily baited to make errors. But...JD MVP quality; NU bull pups so dependable.

First of all, the FTs should be improved. Please... they need to make sure they secure these FTs. We are playing very physical and aggressive in the point so for sure we will get so many FTs each game. Next, UP did relax in the 4th quarter. We were outscored by 10 points. Nevertheless, we have to give credit also to UE. Like what you said, guys, UE actually did give their best effort in the 4th quarter.

My personal take is Jumamoy needs to be a better playmaker. At this pt, Garcia, the 3rd guard off the bench, is shaping up as a better playmaker. Jumamoy is stuck in limbo, IMO, whether he shd score more or playmake. I saw this kid in HS, he is a scorer and right now, he is playing out of position based on his strengths. And btw, Maimai is around 5'7". Ive stood beside him and Im 5'6".

Admire the effort to give UP- centric content. It's clear though that UP seems to lack basketball nerds and analysts. Wala ka palaging kasama ( compared to other vloggers). Good win for the Fighting Maroons, but they need to work on those turnovers. Yun talaga sakit ng UP ever since S84. 10 turnovers to Ateneo's 5 at the half; buti nalang UP won the rebounding battle. Some points: 1. JHouse and Josh Lazaro are gonna be the ones to watch, especially with Chris Koon getting injured. Ateneo isn't to be taken lightly. 2. QMB is a presence in the post. 17 rebounds on debut is massive. Gonna be interesting to see him match up with Mike Phillips, Henry Agunnane, and Precious Momowei, among others. 3. Coach Gold going 2-big at times (QMB and Gani, or Udodo and Gani/Alter) is interesting. Let's see what the coaching staff are cooking up with that. Cheers!
