Good men are not in Home Depot on the weekends, those men are called weekend warriors. Professionals are on the job M-F and are often going to Home Depot during the week to pick up materials for work. Find a guy who is buying lots of expensive materials or appliances or tools.

My practice was always to pick up the first date, in full, no questions asked. Traditional that way. But, if it progressed to a second, third date etc. and we were having a nice go at it, I’d observe if/when the woman offered. It was rare to get on that effort that soon, in my experience. My last one insisted on 50/50 the first date but I won out. And she was a struggling single mom. We’ve been happily married for 14 years. The way I see it, this small dating gesture speaks to overall entitlement mentality. Guys, don’t settle for less than a good woman but be a good man back.

I have been considering hiring a matchmaker and after a lot of research and reading over a thousand reviews what I have found is that you are 100% correct! Especially with point #3! Thought the counter argument seems to be that if I am paying $10,000 or more for a professional I will be as picky as I want! However, the extremely rare responses from a matchmakers (and it is really rare for a matchmaker to respond to a negative review) are also consistent. And that seems to be that yes you my be paying a lot of money for the service but you still have to be a valuable catch to the opposite sex. This seems (to me) to be the disconnect. If you are very unattractive, or obese, or socially awkward, or just selfish and rude then even if you bring a lot of money to the table it will not make up for the other qualities you lack. So the "I paid the matchmaker $10,000 and they didn't get me a rocket scientist, runway model, that rescues puppies on the weekend" complaint need for you to ask yourself, why would such a great catch want you? I hope it's not just because I have money.

The guys on the low end of tall (6' - 6'3) exclusively go for really short women because that's their way of feeling tall enough. I believe that is the same demographic that bullies short men. Tall men on the higher end of tall care a lot less about tall womens' heights and feel much less insecure next to us. This is what I've noticed over the years.
