Just like every other black trim "restorer" this product just fails. Sure it looks good when you first put it on but the trim actually looks worse than it originally did after the CMX wears off in just a week. I used to see this in all the stores going for roughly $15 but I see the prices had dropped to $5 for the same can so I tried it as it's easier to throw away $5 than $15. Using it after using the recommended CMX surface prep it did look OK at first... BUT... after just one week the trim looked even worse than it did before using it. My car is fairly old... a 2016 Ford Taurus SHO but it is a summer vehicle only and is garaged all winter and only gets driven less than 5k each year so it gets less sun and elemental damage than most cars do. If I were to rate this product I would give it a 3 out of 10... garbage. You can literally get a darker longer lasting shine just spraying lubricant on it like WD-40 although the WD-40 attracts dust. If you would tell the truth about the product to begin with I would rate it better but since you lie and make false claims I'm sticking with 3 out of 10 rating.

This is a very good product. I've used many different ceramic coatings but CMX which combines silicone dioxide and titanium dioxide (Si02 & Tio2 ) is one of the very best. I have 14 1st place concours awards using CMX. As stated in the video though, paintwork needs to be perfect before application..

Can you apply REGULAR coatings--wax, resin, etc TO the cleaned surface--OR, must you stick with the "ceramic" coatings for chemical compatibility? So aggravating they don't offer that key info up front.

Does it mean I don't have to buy a separate stripping car shampoo if I'm using this cmx surface prep before applying new paint protection or compounding? (eg. Just wash the car with normal pH neutral non stripping soap like gold class meguiar's) thanks!

Is the Mothers Naturally Black heavy duty and Mothers Back to Black heavy duty same thing as they look similar just the name is different? Both are heavy duty too with the brush supplied.

I used a foam applicator, only one for the entire car! Towels are not ruined if you soak them in Dawn Dishwashing soap & hot water upon completion. Then wash as usual
