Actually professor Anthon, a renoun Egyptalogist language specialist, saw copies of what Joseph Smith had translated at that time. He said the characters were authentic, Egyptian, Chaldaic, and Aramaic, and the translation was more accurate than he had ever seen. Reformed Egyptian was used to write on gold plates only. It was not the primary language of the Nephite people. They spoke Hebrew. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does in fact teach that there are three persons in the Godhead. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. Only one member of the Godhead is a Spirit only. The Father has an immortal body of flesh and bones, and is the Father of Jesus's body of flesh and bones. Romans 6: 9 states: "Jesus dieth no more, death has no more dominion over him". At Christ's baptism, we see that The Father spoke from heaven, Christ was not being a ventrilaquist, and the Holy Ghost landed on Him in the form of a dove. The conception of Christ was achieved by the Holy Ghost placing The Father's seed, through the skin of Mary's belley into her filopian tubes. It was a Devine miraculous conception, where she remained a virgin until after Jesus was born. Jesus had brothers and sisters. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do belive that God made black people black. We believe that God made all the races, we do not believe, like you, that evolution made black people black. All of Christianity believes the fall of Adam was a tragedy, but the Book of Mormon teaches us the truth. The Book of Mormon teaches, Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy " The reason no person could be born until after the fall of Adam is because we would have had a body like Christ's body after He was resurectected. He materialized in the middle of a closed room. If we had a body that could materialize in the middle of a closed room from birth no prison could hold anyone. No laws could be written, because no one would have to obey them. We don't listen to God as mortals, and we would not be teachable if we were born immortal. It is not in God's plan that we be unteachable. Paul understood this, and rejoiced in his weakness, when Christ flat out refused to remove the thorn in his flesh. @@GarySaint-xm6tr I like your comments, but some of what you say here is not doctrine. We don't know how Mary became pregnant. Any explanation is pure speculation. And Adam did not have a resurrected body in the Garden, nor would we. Adam's body was physically perfect, but could still be turned mortal, becoming subject to death. A resurrected body is glorified and can never be turned mortal. The two are not the same and have different capacities.

    • @GarySaint-xm6tr

@reflectivesaint4904 Yes, however, Adam's body had no blood prior to becoming mortal. See Bible dictionary from the quad. An immortal body has no blood, but is flesh and bones. It may be only that Adam's body was only able to die because of violation of law, and that Christ's atonement is an eternal atonement, as it states in the Book of Mormon, so because of the eternal atonement a body can never be killed, or made mortal. It is likely that Adam's body had power over solid objects, or he could die before the fall. The point of the whole matter is that we would have been unteachable had we had a body like Christ's body from birth, and that is why we must be mortal prior to becoming immortal. Specifically God will not give us an immortal body of flesh and bones that has sexual organs, like Adam and Eve's body had , until we prove we can be trusted by repenting of all violations of the law of Chastity while mortal. We can repent of all violations of Celestial law as a spirit, but we must have a body to repent of violations of the law of chastity. That is why those who lived in mortality without law will only attain the Terestrial kingdom, not the Celestial kingdom, even though they violated no law. If you look at what we can do as spitit, feel, hear, see, be sanctified and ordained, fight in a war, love, hate, have faith, or fear, Christ created heaven and earth as a spirit. We do not need a body. We want a body, but why? It must be to do something we cannot do as a spirit only. The only things we cannot do as a spirit only is eat, drink, and copulate. The purpose therefore for mortality is to prove we can be trusted with a body that cannot be killed, even by God, that has sexual organs, like Adam and Eve had in the garden. A Celestial body is an immortal body that has sexual organs. A Terestrial or Telestial body has no sexual organs, but is immortal. A Terestrial or Telestial body is dark and darker skin color. See Jacob's statement about The Nephites skin being darker than the Lamanites at judgment day

    • @reflectivesaint4904

I can't agree with most of this, honestly. I think all resurrected bodies have sex organs, as we are told that not so much as a hair will be lost in the resurrection. Loosing whole organs is far more than loosing a single hair. The organs will still be there, they just won't be functional. Adam and Eve had physical bodies, but those bodies were incapable of reproduction in any form. A mortal body can produce mortal offspring, and a celestial body can produce spirit offspring. Adam and Eve could produce neither, so they were neither mortal nor Celestial. I would even say they were not truly terrestrial or telestial, because those are glories that can only come after resurrection. In speaking of Adam and Eve in the garden, I use the term that Bruce R. McConkie used, and call them Amortal. They were not mortal as they could not die, but not truly immortal because they could be changed into mortal. I would also say that the physical can do a lot more than the spirit can. The spirit can interact with the physical in some ways, but not directly. A spirit can't pick up an apple, but it can command the apple to rise. When Christ formed this earth he didn't take a ball of clay and mold it in his hands, because his spirit body could not have held the physical element. This is why it is recorded that God spoke and the creation happened, because by his authority he commanded the elements and they obeyed. The spirit has emotion, but it does not have the senses in the same way that a physical body does. I don't understand how it all works, but it is clear that having a physical body is better than not, even if that body can't produce offspring. This is why the devils still try to steal bodies, and why the terrestrial and telestial and still greater than remaining spirits. And to reduce the Celestial Law to just the law of chastity is far to narrow a view. Finally, your reference to Jacob regarding dark skin is not accurate, as Jacob is speaking metaphorically, not literally. No one in the resurrection is going to have darker skin.

@reflectivesaint4904 I'll give a step by step answer. Multiple comments. In Section 76 of the D&C it says only those who have a Celestial body will be resurrected into their bodies. The hair on thr head quote was not an e eryone comment. I will show angels scriptures later. I've got a lot of things going on now. The person who pointed out the shade of skin color is a member who is a high priest and is from the tribe of Juda. That actually was not my idea.

    • @reflectivesaint4904
      @reflectivesaint4904 11 часов назад

@GarySaint-xm6tr section 76 does not say that there are different forms of resurrection. It makes a distinction between resurrection and quickening with glory. All who have lived on this earth, even the sons of perdition, receive the same resurrection. But after being resurrected we are quickened by the glory that we inherit. This is what makes it possible for an exalted person to have spirit children, but those of lesser glory can't. The bodies are the same, but the glory is different. As to the darker skin, it doesn't matter who came up with the idea. It is still wrong.

Let's look at Christianities beliefs that are incorrect, because they do not have the help of the Book of Mormon with the Bible. All other Christians believe the fall of Adam was a big tragedy. The Book of Mormon teaches " Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy." To make sure we're an the same page The Book of Mormon is the one you call the "Silly little book". From the passage in the Book of Mormon it appears that God knew Adam was going to fall. In fact it looks like the fall of Adam was part of the plan, so Adam and Eve could have children, and so people could have joy. Let's see who's right. Look at Christ's appearance to the 10 apostles after He was resurectected. They were hiding in a closed room for fear of the Jews. Christ materialized in the middle of the closed room. How would you react if you saw someone you saw murdered 3 days earlier appear in the middle of a closed room? Would you be frightened, terrified, would you think a spirit had appeared to you? That is exactly how Christ's apostles reacted. Christ proved to them He had His body of flesh and bones back, and that He was alive again. Doubting Thomas was not there, and said he would not believe until he put his fingers in the prints of his nails and feet. Christ also ate fish and honey comb to further prove He was not a spirit. From this account when the Bible says we will all be immortal after we are resurectected we know we will truly be immortal. We will have power over solid objects. No fire, cold, bullet, boulder will be able to kill us. If Adam had not fallen, and was able to have children, they , we would have a body like that right now. If we had an immortal body from birth any law written would be useless. No jail could hold anyone. No bullet could kill anyone. We would not need cloths, food, houses, or anything to live. People don't listen to God as mortals. If we were immortal from birth no one would be teachable. We would not learn from anyone, not even God. The Bible clearly teaches that everyone will eventually be resurrected and immortal, because of the atonement of Jesus Christ. However, didn't Christ already pay for Adam's sin? Yes He did! So we should be immortal now, but we are not, why? Because if we were immortal from birth we would be unteachable. It is not in God's plan that we be unteachable. The purpose for mortality is to prove we can be trusted with an immortal body of flesh and bones, that even God cannot kill, that has sexual organs, like Adam and Eve had in the garden. The whole idea was that Christ will return everything about the earth and it's inhabitants to the state the earth and Adam and Eve were before the fall. We are mortal to learn from our mistakes, hopefully. We also have joy when we achieve things. If we were immortal from birth there would be no houses, no roads, no farms, no industry. Because it is not part of God's plan for us to be unteachable we could not be born untill after the fall of Adam. We see then that we need that silly little book, the Book of Mormon, to understand the purpose of mortality

The only time Jesus tells His disciples to leap for joy, is when they are spoken of badly for His names sake. The war that started in heaven spoken of in Revelation 12 shows us that the angels cast out of heaven are here on earth. Every time you read about a person who is possessed by a devil they are being possessed by one or more of the angels cast out of heaven. In Luke we read about a man in the tombs. When Jesus asked the name of the devils possessing the man they replied, "Legion". The devils begged Jesus to cast them into the bodies of pigs. He allowed it. Can those devils that were cast out of heaven as a result of the war, and who possessed the man in the tombs, have a body of their own? No. How bad do they want a body? So bad they were willing to possess the bodies of pigs rather than have no body at all. We know our spirit inhabits our body. Without a body we are on l y spirits, like the angels cast out of heave. We have bodies because we are the spirits thst cast them out of heaven! We are the sons and daughters of God! Are you familiar with the scripture in the Old Testament where youths were torn apart by wild beasts for making fun of the prophet because he was bald? Get back on the right side to fight for God in this war that started in heaven that continues here on earth.

Mormons use similar Christian terms like God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and even quote from the Bible. Satan himself quoted from the Scriptures in MATTHEW 4:1-11. But, similar Christian terms and quoting from the Bible don't make you a Christian. Knowing the true identity of Jesus Christ (John 14:6) in a world full of false christs and false prophets (Matthew 24:23-24) will mean the difference between you going to heaven or hell. Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God. So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in? A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan. OR B. MORMONS REFORMED EGYPTIAN LANGUAGE THAT MAKES UP THE BOOK OF MORMON, DOES NOT EXIST. The Book of Mormon, and work of scripture of the LDS movement, is asserted by both itself and Joseph Smith, the founder of the movement, to have been originally written in the Native American writing system of "reformed Egyptian" characters. Scholars reference works on languages do not acknowledge the existence of either a "reformed Egyptian" language or "reformed Egyptian" script as it was described by Joseph Smith. Therefore is no archeological, linguistic, or other evidence of the use of Egyptian writing in the ancient Americas. MAINSTREAM SCHOLARLY VIEW OF "REFORMED EGYPTIAN. Standard language reference works contain no reference to "reformed Egyptian" and it described with this term only in the Book of Mormon. No non-Mormon scholars acknowledge the existence of either a "reformed Egyptian" language or a "reformed Egyptian" script as it has been described in Mormon belief. For instance, in 1996, John A. Wilson, a professor of Eygyptology at the University of Chicago, wrote, "From time to time there are allegations that picture writing has been found in America [...] In no case has a professional Egyptologist been able to recognize these characters as Egyptian hieroglyphs. From our stand point there is no such language as "reformed Egyptian." Anthropologist Michael D. Coe of Yale University, and expert in pre-Columbian Mesoamerican studies, wrote, "Of all the peoples of the pre-Columbian New World, only the ancient "Maya" had complete script." Fifteen examples of distinct writing systems have been identified in pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, many from a single inscription. So Mormons, if "reformed Egyptian" doesn't exist, then, why are you believing in something that doesn't exist??

MORMONS MISINTERPRETATION OF EZEKIEL 37 "STICK OF JOSEPH AND STICK OF JUDAH." You assume that the "Stick of Judah" is the Bible, while the "Stick of Joseph" is the Book of Mormon. In the latter days, the two have been joined together, forming the bulk of Mormon scripture. Mormonism's literal interpretation of scripture does not extend to hundreds of passages it rejects as corrupted or that it skews to suit its own purposes. In the case of Ezekiel 37, Mormons not only neglect the plain sense of the words, but also ignore there true interpretation, given by God-in the very same chapter. First, the Hebrew term translated as "stick" (aits) is never use anywhere in the Old Testament to mean "Book," "scroll", "writing", or anything similar. It is variously translated as "wood", or "branch", "timber", or "tree." Needless to say, the Book of Mormon allegedly written on metal plates, not scrolls or sticks. Second, the correct interpretation of this symbolic action of the prophet is given just a few verses later. Ezekiel is to take the two sticks, put them end to end and hold the joined ends in his hand. He thus displays to the people a "single" stick, once again united. This is to show that the scattered remnants of the southern kingdom ("Judah ") and northern kingdom of Israel ("Joseph") will be returned from exile, restored to their land, and made one nation again. "They shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all" (Ezekiel 37:22). With Divine impetus, Ezekiel first spoke of this parable of redemption then enacted it. Only Mormonism can manage to mistake "timber" for "scrolls" and "nations" for "metal plates." As the text makes clear, this is a prophecy of national reunification, not about the appearance of hidden scriptures.

Let's talk about BIBLICAL EVIDENCE FOR THE TRINITY. First, in order for you to understand the Biblical evidence for the TRINITY, you must first stop trying to "put God in a box..." God's Divine existence is BEYOND human understanding and the physical limitations of this world. Let's hear what God Himself says about this in: I TIMOTHY 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: A. God was manifested in the flesh, B. Justified in the Spirit, C. Seen by angels, D. Preached among the Gentiles, E. Believed on in the world, F. Received up in glory. Notice "A" where it says: "God was manifested in the flesh. As you can read, God's Divinity is limitless and beyond human understanding. Next, let's go to: ISAIAH 45:5 "I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me..." Keep this verse in mind, because we are going to circle back to this in a little bit. We are going to show the Divine identity of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. GOD: We have God identifying Himself to Moses in: EXODUS 3:14 And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you..." We have God identifying Himself as the "I AM." JOHN 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God..." We have God identified as the "Word." JESUS: We have Jesus identifying Himself in: JOHN 8:58 And Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM..." We have Jesus identifying Himself as the "I AM" the same title God used in Exodus 3:14. JOHN 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth..." We have Jesus identified as the "Word" the same title God used in John 1:1. I TIMOTHY 3:16. "...God was manifested in the flesh..." HOLY SPIRIT: We have Peter talking to Ananias in: ACTS 5:3-4 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit (notice that he said that you are lying to the Holy Spirit) and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God..." We have the Holy Spirit recognized as being God! We have God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit all recognized as being God. Let's circle back to ISAIAH 45:5 where it says: "There is no God besides Me..." With this verse, we either have complete Kaos here, or, since God says that He is "not the author of confusion..." (I Corinthians 14:33). We can confidently conclude that the only explanation for this is: "TRINITY" But wait, there's more Biblical evidence for the TRINITY, let's go to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We have God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit all at the Resurrection of Jesus. GOD: We have God raising Jesus from the dead. *Acts 3:26 *I THESSALONIANS 1:10 *Acts 17:31 JESUS: We have Jesus raising Himself from the dead. *John 2:19-21 HOLY SPIRIT: We have Jesus raising Himself from the dead. *Romans 8:11 We have God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit all at the Resurrection raising Jesus from the dead! There you are, BIBLICAL EVIDENCE FOR THE TRINITY.

When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God. God Himself warns us about this in: MATTHEW 24: 23-24 "Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..." Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God. So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in? A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan. OR B. HOW TO RESPOND WHEN MORMONS ACCUSE YOU OF ATTACKING THEM. Let me point out the following. It was the Mormon church who attacked Christianity and all other religions first when Joseph Smith said that "all the churches are wrong and an abomination before God..." (Joseph Smith History--1:19). For over 195 years the Mormon church has supported their racists doctrine that all Blacks are cursed by God (2 Nephi 5:21). God would never curse an entire race of people, especially generations of innocent people born after the "ALLEGED CURSED" took place. God had NOTHING to do with this Mormon curse on all Blacks. This is the racists attitude and doctrine of Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, and the Mormon church. Let's go back in time to September 1857 to the MOUNTAIN MEADOWS MASSACRE in which "hateful Mormons" led by John D Lee murdered 120-140 innocent men, women, and CHILDREN (tell me, what kind of church murders CHILDREN!?) of the Baker-Fancher wagon train. And to add insult to the victims, the Mormon church names a university after Brigham Young (BYU). Where is your "moral compass" Mormons?? Most recently the Mormon church has settled multiple multi-million dollar sexual assault lawsuits and set aside another billion dollars to settle future sexual assault lawsuits pending. Also, the Mormon church has paid a $5 million fine to the IRS/SEC for lying on tax returns and stealing tithe money. So please, don't stand there thinking you have some kind of "moral high ground" to FALSELY accusing people of attacking the Mormon church. The Mormon church have been a danger to humanity since its beginnings.

This quote from Maroni is by Maroni who was an Isrealite who lived on the American continent about 400AD. He was a disciples of Jesus Christ. As an Isrealite in the America's he is part of the fulfillment of the promise God made to Abraham when He told Abraham that He would scatter his seed to all four corners of the earth. God also told Abraham that his seed will bless all nations. The only way Abraham's seed can bless all nations is by teaching them that Christ is the Messiah. Maroni's words are recorded in the Book of Mormon which is an ancient book of scripture that talks about two groups of people who left Isreal at the warning by God that He was going to destroy Jerusalem, and take the Isrealites captive for 70 years in Babylon. The two groups of people listened to God and fled into the wilderness. They traveled for years until they reached the sea. They were instructed by God to build a ship. They built the ship and sailed to the America's about 588 BC.

@reflectivesaint4904 I think the Apocrypha book called the Assention of Isaiah could be used to refute his claim that all Christian always believed in the Trinity. It dates from 75 ad so way before the Trinity was created out of thin air. It may actually be part of Isaiah which was removed by the Deuteronomist. Isaiah ascends to the seventh heaven where he sees, the Holy Spirit, Jesus and the glory of God which he cannot look upon. Then he sees Jesus descending to the earth, to be born of a virgin. He sees Jesus suffer, die and be resurrected. Then he sees him ascend back up to the seventh heaven; 32. And I saw how He ascended into the seventh heaven, and all the righteous and all the angels praised Him. And then I saw Him sit down on the right hand of that Great Glory whose glory I told you that I could not behold. 33. And also the angel of the Holy Spirit I saw sitting on the left hand.

TWO GREAT MORMON CIVILIZATIONS, WHERE ARE THEY?? The Book of Mormon purports to portray the rise and development of two great civilizations. As to just how great these civilizations were, some excerpts from the Book itself adequately illustrate: "The whole face of the land become covered with buildings, and the people were as numerous almost, as it were the sand of the sea." (Mormon 1:7) "...Fine workmanship of wood, in buildings, and in machinery, and also in iron and cooper, and brass and steel, makings [sic.] all manners of tools..." (Jarom 1:8 and 2 Nephi 5:15) "...grain...silks...cattle...oxen...cows...sheep...swine...goats...horses...asses...elephants..." (see Ether 9:17-19) "...did multiply and spread...began to cover the face of the whole earth, from sea south to sea north, from the sea west to the sea east..." (Heleman 3:8) "...had been slain...two millions" [Jaredites] (see Ether 15:2). "...their shipping and their building of ships, and their building of temples, and of synagogues and their sanctuaries..." (Heleman 3:14, see also 2 Nephi 5:15, 16 and Alma 16:13). "...there were ten more who did fall...with their ten thousand each..." (see Mormon 6:10-15). "...swords...cimeters...breastplates...arm-shields...armor" (see Alma 43:18, 19; 3:5 and Ether 5:15). "...multiplied exceedingly, and spread upon the face of the land, and became exceedingly rich..." (Jarom 1:8). See 3 Nephi 8:9, 10, 14, and 9:4, 5,6, 8: where cities and inhabitants were sunk in the depths of the sea and earth. In addition to the foregoing statements from the Book of Mormon which indicate the tremendous spread of the culture of these races, there are some thirty-eight cities cataloged in the Book of Mormon, evidence that these were indeed mighty civilizations which should, by all the laws of archeological research into the culture of antiquity, have left vast amounts of "finds" to be evaluated. But such is not the case as we shall show. The Mormons have yet to explain the fact that leading archeological researchers not only have repudiated the claims of the Book of Mormon as to the existence of these civilizations, but have adduced considerable evidence to show the impossibility of the accounts given in the Book of Mormon. The Smithsonian Institution of Washington has also added its voice against the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, and I quote: "The Smithsonian Institution has never used the Book of Mormon instead any way as a scientific guide. Smithsonian archeologist see no direct connection between the archeology of the New World and the subject matter of the book. National Geographic had a TV series that lasted for 5 seasons on a new radar scan called "LiDar." National Geographic using LiDar scanned over 800 sq.miles of South America jungle and discover newly found Myan structures that shook the archeological world. But NOTHING was ever mentioned about any ancient Mormon civilizations being discovered. Which doesn't look good for the Book of Mormon archeological claims. And the Mormon church is running out of jungle to prove any archeological evidence to support anything in the Book of Mormon. So Mormons, where are these ancient Mormon civilizations and why haven't the Mormon church paid for more LiDar scans of the jungle to find your ancient Mormon civilizations??

DO MORMONS HAVE A PRIESTHOOD? In the opening sentences of the Book of Revelation, John the Apostle makes an astounding statement when he declares: "Blessing and peace to you from him who is, and was, and is coming, and from the seven spirits before his throne and from Jesus Christ, the trustworthy witness, the first born of the dead, the sovereign of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has released us from our sins by his own blood--he has made us a kingdom of priests for His God and Father--to him be glory and power forever" (Goodspeed, verses 4-6). How incisive is this plain declaration by apostolic authority, Jesus Christ who is the sovereign of the kings of the earth, the one who continues to love us and who has released us from our sins through His own blood, has also made us "a kingdom of priests for His God and Father." Here is the true priesthood indeed. The Christian does not need any temples, secret services, rituals and mysteries. His priesthood knows no special offices and power to communicate with the dead, something which the Mormon priesthood most definitely claims (See Leaves from the Tree, a catechism for young people by Mormon leader Charles Penrose, p.38). The Christian priesthood embraces all those who have been loosed from their sins by the Blood of Jesus Christ, and who enjoy the perpetual love of the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. This concept is further developed in the writings of Peter, who affirms that: "You are the chosen race, the "royal priesthood," the consecrated nation, his own people, so that you may declare the virtues of him who has called you out of darkness into his wonderful light; you who were once no people, but are now God's people; once unpitied, but now pitied indeed..." (I PETER 2:9 and 10, Goodspeed). In this context, the words of the apostle establish that long before there were any mythological Mormon priesthoods, there is a priesthood embracing all redeemed, a "royal priesthood," neither Aaronic nor Melchizedek. This priesthood is composed of all consecrated "ambassadors for Christ," to quote the Apostle Paul, whose task it is to exhort men to "be reconciled to God," "knowing the terror of the Lord" (II Corinthians 5:20 and 11). As has been observed, Mormonism places great stress upon the priesthood. But as we have also seen, it is not the priesthood described in the Scriptures. Instead they have substituted the revelation of "Prophet" Smith concerning a priesthood which has been changed (Hebrews 7:12) and a priesthood which by its nature is "untransferable" (7:24). The resulting dilemma is that they have no priesthood at all since their denial of the true Deity of Jesus Christ and the nature of God rules out the possibility that they could share in the priesthood of all believers. In order for one to be one of the "kingdom of priests for His God and Father" (Revelation 1:4-6) and a member of the "royal priesthood" (I PETER 2:9, 10), one must first have undergone personal regeneration in a saving encounter or experience with the God-Man of Scripture--Jesus Christ. Mormon theology with its pantheon of gods, its perverted view of the Virgin Birth, and its outright condemnation of all churches as an "abomination" (Joseph Smith--History 1:19), removes itself from serious consideration as a form of Christianity. There is more to Christianity than the application of the Christian ethnic. There is a great deal more to the Gospel than the similarity of terms, albeit redefined. Christianity is not just a system of doctrinal pronouncements (though they are of vast importance). It is a living vital experience with the God of the Bible as He was incarnate in the man from Nazareth. Mormonism with its many doctrinal vagaries and outright denials of historic Christian teachings, disqualifies itself. And its priesthood, on which it places so much emphasis, is shown to be the antithesis of the divine revelation.

PROFESSOR DEE JAY NELSON AND THE BOOK OF ABRAHAM INCIDENT. 1965 the Mormon church was presented with the actual manuscripts that Joseph Smith use to translate the "Pearl of Great Price." That manuscript was presented by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The Mormon church hailed it as a great discovery. And the Mormon church put one of their greatest scholar in Eygyptology Professor Dee Jay Nelson. Professor Nelson was designated by the head of the church to translate it. He eagerly took the manuscripts which contained the Book of Abraham, and proceeded to translate it. When he finished his translation, he contacted the president of the Mormon church and said, "we have a problem..." President of the Mormon church wanted to know what the problem was. Dr. Nelson said: "the problem is that what Joseph Smith says, is entirely different than what the manuscripts says are two different things..." he then submitted to different eygyptologist, they studied it, and came back with it and said the same thing. Then Dr Nelson tried to have it published by the Mormon church. They willfully and deliberately suppressed the manuscripts, they will not let the Mormon people see it. And the reason why the Mormon church won't let them see it is in Professor Dee Nelson's letter of resignation. I, Dee Jay Nelson, do hereby renounce and relinquish the priesthood which I now hold following my translation (the first to be published) of the bulk of the hieratic and hieroglyphic Egyptian texts upon the Metropolitan-Joseph Smith papyri fragments three of the most eminent eygyptologist now living published corroborating translations. These amply prove the fraudulent nature of the Book of Abraham, in which lies, unjust assertion that Negros are unworthy of participation in the highest privileges of the LDS church. We do not wish to be associated with a religious organization which teaches lies and adheres to policies so blatantly opposed to the civil and religious rights of some citizens of the United States. By affixing our signatures to this document we exercise our constitutional rights of religious freedom and separate ourselves from the church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

THE COUNCIL OF NICAEA, WHAT MORMONS DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW. Facts on hand CONSTANTINE THE GREAT. Constantine was a Roman Emperor from 306-337AD. Many Roman emperors that came before him were openly hostile to the Gospel, killing and persecuting Christians. Emperors Nero, Domitian, Marcus Aurelius (of Gladiator movie fame), Diocletian and others succeeded one another with bloody persecutions of Christians. But Constantine issued the "EDICT OF MILAN" in 313AD, granting religious tolerance to all views. Constantine became sole Emperor of Rome through victories in a series of military campaigns against other rivals. During these campaigns he converted to Christianity from paganism. There is much debate whether his "conversation" was sincere, or whether he did so for political gain. THE COUNCIL OF NICAEA. In 325AD Constantine convened the "Council of Nicaea" the first Empire-wide meeting of church leaders to discuss various doctrinal controversies. Today some ask if the Books of the Bible were changed or corrupted, or even selected (in some back-room conspiracy) for inclusion in the Bible at this council. In fact, the main debate at Nicaea was the theology of the relationship between Jesus and God. One camp (led by Arius) held that Jesus the Son and God the Father were of different essences, and the other camp (led by Athanasius) held that they were of the same essence. Therefore we know that theological interpretations were staked out and the summary "Nicene Creed" was authored at this council convened by Constantine. CORRUPTION OR CONSPIRACY? But were the books of the Bible changed and/or selected at this council? As we saw in the "Article on textual criticism of the Bible," There are many manuscripts surviving today that were copied up to two hundred years before the time Constantine (and the Council of Nicaea). If this council (or Constantine) changed the documents of the New Testament then the manuscripts that were copied before the Council of Nicaea would be different than those that come after. But the copies show no such change. The timeline shows that manuscripts for Bibles today predate Constantine and the Council of Nicaea by up to two hundred years. If Constantine and/or the Council of Nicaea changed the manuscripts we would see the changes. But were the 'wrong' gospels selected into the Bible at Nicaea? (Perhaps by Constantine to bolster his side?) We also know that was not so because both sides (Arius and Athanasius) use the same gospels and Epistles (the ones that are in the Bible now) to argue their case. Arius and Athanasius did not disagree on what scriptural documents stated, nor did they disagree on which documents should be "in" the Bible. They disagreed, with heated debate, on the interpretation of the Scriptures--the same books of the Bible we have today. We know this because an account of the debates and intrigues of the Council of Nicaea and Constantine's role in it is preserved for us in the reporting of "EUSEBIUS"who was one of the delegates to this council. The writings of Athanasius are also preserved. Mormons, the Book of Mormon is written in so-called "reformed Egyptian" language that makes up the Book of Mormon. Why isn't there any evidence like this for the Book of Mormon?

MORMONS, THERE IS NO BAPTISM FOR THE DEAD. Scripture is very clear in stating that this life is the only chance we get. Once we die, our fate is sealed: HEBREWS 9:27 "It is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgement..." There are "no second chances" after death.
