My sister-in-law, a city girl retired to Vermont, has Disney-esque view of nature. She puts out seeds for birds in a feeder much like this. The chipmunks eat the fallen seeds and, to her dismay, an owl occasionally eats the chipmunks. I remind her that an owl is a bird and she's ultimately feeding it. She is not consoled.

There are some videos on here where you can see squirting turtles as the shell pops. Liquid turtle comes squirting out at high velocity! Hmmmm I wonder of that’s how turtle wax is made.... 🤔

Damn the noise the turtle made after the bite that crushed its shell was sad. Nature is beautiful, but it’s also harsh.
