After being a signwriter for a decade I can’t tell you how much of a gimmick all those “cleaning items” you mentioned are, don’t waste your time or money on that crap, just wash out the brush and roller properly and let them dry like normal, no stupid spindoctor or brush brush needed.🙄

You are absolutely wrong. Bathrooms should be painted in a semi-gloss or a gloss to protect the walls against moisture. Especially smaller bathrooms that retain steam from the shower or walls immediately adjacent to water sources such as the sink and the shower door. Flat and matte paint will absorb water allowing it to seep into the drywall or gypsum board. Repeated exposure to water promotes mold growth which in turn poses a threat to human health. By using flat or matte paint, you are promoting an environment for toxic growth to thrive.

US Bank is a total scam. They false advertise cards with 0 APR for 15mo and bonus of $200 for spending $1000 but then give you a $500 credit limit to dampen your actual perks even when your FICO is 800+ with credit rating excellent and a tiny debt to income/savings ratio. They will actually damage your credit rating by doing a hard pull and then not giving enough of a credit limit to offset the credit rating hit.

Not available to most I know, but USAA Bank I think crushes the competition. Great app, great features and I can always get a person on the phone within 1 minute or less. And they are friendly and super helpful.

I was homeless from age 16-26 and addicted to heroin. I never held a job longer than a couple months. I got arrested in 2017 and got out at the beginning of 2019 with a new outlook on life but i had no family, no money, no job, only the clothes i was wearing, and nowhere to go. The only thing good i had going was i had very little debt. Im now almost 30 with my own place, a 2023 car, a decent job, and a credit score of 750.

I wonder how many people who followed Dave Ramsey can’t rent apartments or get jobs because they have absolutely no credit score? I think Dave Ramsey is correct and telling people not to use credit cards who are in massive amounts of debt and have no control over their spending, these type of people should never use credit cards, unless they gain the skills to use credit cards as a tool and a method to protect their money from fraud. Dave Ramsey doesn’t need a credit score because he has hundreds of millions of dollars in the bank but telling a average individual that you don’t need a credit score is a lie because you do if you ever wanna live anywhere or work anywhere more than likely you need some sort of credit history Unless you’re gonna live in your parents for the rest of your life.

Most of these actually lose value then lol

If you're gonna live in your house for a while, just learn to DIY what you can and renovate what you want most. Over time the house will become more comfortable, functional and presentable. If you need to flip it, the price will be higher but more importantly, your quality of life will be higher until then.

Charles Schwab does have brick and mortor locations. They are just not as common as some of the other main big banks like Wells Fargo or Chase. But you can find them.

Not using semi gloss paint wtf? My interior walls are semi gloss and look damn sexy not tacky at all. You just have to make sure you dont see imperfections because semi gloss will bring it out. I used comfort gray sherwin williams. A watered down mint green

I’ve been using credit cards points/cash back for almost a decade. All are set up on autopay and paid in full. Dave Ramsey is great but I don’t agree with him on this topic.

DIY jobs that will add up and get you good bang for the buck are "any small elements that is totally worn out". What good is a fresh coat of paint is the current one is perfectly fine? Just look around the house. Spot anything that is cheapo, cracked, worn out, etc. Can be -New trims -New outlets, new switches -Minor brick repair -switching to electronic thermostats. -New window(s) -New dryer vent -new light fixtures -New doors / door knobs (...) Now, if you are thinking of selling, here is a big one : clean clean clean clean and clean some more. And organize your mess.

I keep my reported utilization rate below 5% because I like knowing that at any time I can move or purchase a new car without the delay of getting a lower credit utilization reported to boost my score.
