Ya by finishing the last book Snape was by far the best character of the entire series.

Nah i still hate people that prop Snape up as a character. Theres a laundry list of unnecesary, weird stuff he did. The hero reveal doesnt erase that stuff 😅

Snape was actually the real hero here he sacrificed everything he had to protect and support that lucky and good for nothing harry Potter ( let's be honest he is extremely lucky not talented and in the book not the movie you will see how lazy and stupid he is ) and in the end he deceived Voldemort by killing Dumbledore after draco took his wand soooo Voldemort didn't know draco was the one who took the wand first and thought because Snape killed Dumbledore then he must be the true master of the wand ( harry later took it from draco ) soooo if Voldemort actually had full control over the ultimate wand harry and everyone in Hogwarts would have gotten delete from the face of the earth by Voldemort ( thank me later for destroying the main character for you 😊 )

I just wish Snape wasn't so cringe when it came to Harry Potter personally and he played the father he never knew. That despite Lily's choices he respected it out of that love for her he did everything he could do to protect what she held close. We get that in the end.... sort of. It would have just been nice to see out of his love for Lily that he came to love Harry. Scenes like this just shows him as a badass character that wallows instead of rises.

One of, if not the best character in the series. Dumbledore mentored him after his Dow fall not only b/c he respected him but he probably revered him for what he was capable of. And saw a lot of himself in him. So badass.

Fight with Voldemort would be great

What was Snape's plan had McGonagall not stepped in? He's not allowed to kill Harry, capturing him is obviously out of the question, he can't throw the fight against a student because that would be way too obvious . This was a no win situation for Snape.
