The master class you and the other members of the Galvin Cello Quartet gave today truly captivated my 7-year-old! Your explanation about the importance of breathing in performance resonated deeply with us; it addressed everything we've been struggling with. I think your insights really clicked for him! Can't wait to see more of you guys this Friday!
What an absolutely incredible performance

Very good played. The cello is singing with clean sound. Beautiful melody... and carpet also.
Hey bro, your cello sounds excellent as well as your cello skill, would like to know which brand is it
Cellos don't really have a "brand" like sports equipment might. There are several tiers to cellos, as listed below: - Beginner factory cellos - typically have 80% of the cello built by workers in a different country from budget wood and are paired with affordable components like tailpieces. Ok for people starting out. Can range from a few hundred dollars to like around 2K. - Intermediate factory cellos - labor is outsourced similarly, but wood and finish is often higher quality and finishing touches are done by more experienced luthiers that buy the semi finished cellos and kit them out with mid tier student components. Tend to offer decent sound and much better playability for intermediate cellists. Tend to cost around 3-10K ish. - Professional level cellos, for people who are in conservatory or intend to play at such a level. These are typically made by an experienced cello/instrument maker from start to finish, from wood selection to carving out the bridge. These are pretty pricey, and tend to cost upwards of at least 10K. At this point, rather than asking about a specific maker, it is best to determine what kind of cello you want and what characteristics you want (tonal qualities, projecting qualities, italian style, french style, etc...) from previous experiences playing cheaper cellos and walk into a reputable instrument dealer and try until you find one you want to buy.
Excellent
Well done!
