It took me about a week, rerolling Overmasteries for a few hours each day, with 37 Ambrosia and save-scumming! It's an absolute marathon of a challenge, especially since you have to dodge about a dozen Paradise Lost casts! I actually had to slot in Autorevive just to survive the fight long enough.

@@OneCleanCut I might give this run a crack as well in the future (with another character) if Relink is still somewhat alive then. Gonna play some Elden Ring DLC first lol (and trying to see if I can get sub 9 for normal Luci before then).

Yeah, I'm totally pumped for Shadow of the Erdtree! Happy I could get this done before it comes out. I linked the table I used to freeze the timer in the pinned comment if you want to try it out. Hopefully somebody can make a mod for the timer or Cygames can scale the timer in a patch. Have fun!

Mainly I wanted to get Enmity active so I kinda just killed time. I guess I could get all three of them to low HP and keep dodging them to build SBA and get the max HP debuff at the same time, but I wanted to avoid a death that would use up my autorevive and force me to use up critical bar or a revival potion when the labor failed. If you allow the Sword of Repudiation to attack twice and live, it'll place all those exploding AoE mines on the ground which I have a lot of trouble dodging consistently.

And also why Mirage if you're spending most of the fight at 1hp anyway? Would Manigance or whatever the combo booster skill he has that I forget the name of be better if you're concerned about reaching damage caps with defence ups?

@@silvervaliant I take Mirage to manipulate him into regenerating HP later in the fight to break overdrive at the end. The description goes into a bit more detail!

Neat, I realised Emnity is probably what was happening when you just let it happen on the mini labour later on the fight. Manipulating him into regenning is insane though 🤯

I think Combo Booster at higher stacks should give more of a damage bonus, although I haven't compared them extensively. I really wanted to ensure that I capped out as much damage as possible on the DPS check since he's got DMG Cut and DEF up! Life on the Line is a perfectly viable option too, I believe.

I'll be looking for a way to do that DPS check! Going all out in this fight is the most fun I've had in this game by far!

A good question! I can tell that stamina's effect is reduced because my Uwe skill (the first hit is hard to hit damage cap on) gradually does less and less damage as my max HP decreases, and at 24:27 it isn't even remotely close to capping damage without any ATK or DEF buffs/debuffs present. Interesting that the mobage calculates this differently! Maybe they felt it was more appropriate to calculate it this way for an action game.

I checked the different times you casted Uwe throughout your run and definitely see the difference in damage as the run goes. Good luck on your future runs, the DPS check at the end looks impossible to overcome 😅

It's an incredibly long fight so no worries. I think the secret to the DPS check is getting him to buff himself with regen so I can break his overdrive at the end, but I just did another run all the way to 11% HP and he only did the ATK up/Supp damage buff! I think what's going on is that when he goes to buff himself, he cleanses most of the buffs on your party, and perhaps the buffs that he gets are influenced by what buffs are cleansed. If there aren't any defensive buffs cleansed, he is most likely to do the ATK/Supp damage I think. I may actually have to swap in a DEF buff skill or maybe Dragonslayer's Dominance (20% DEF Buff) to get him to regen health more consistently! I'll try that out soon.

I think there's only one way to clear it: if he buffs himself with DEF/regen later in the fight I'll be able to take out more of his overdrive meter as he'll have more HP before doing the DPS check. If I can get the break, and then hit link time at around 11% HP total before he begins The End, it may be possible! However, it'll take some luck as I believe which buffs he gives himself are random (ATK/Supp damage or DEF/regen). If I'm correct, breaking overdrive will get rid of his 30% damage reduction and increase my DPS a ton. I'll have to investigate a bit further!

Absolutely, Warpath is a massive DPS increase! Since I'm running Glass Cannon, the DEF penalty doesn't matter too much as I'm usually dead in one shot anyways. If I can get a better War Elemental+ I might consider getting Dragonslayer's Ingenuity in this build as well to get Uwe off cooldown faster.

Definitely something I've been contemplating! I think my best shot would be to break overdrive and enter link time just before he gets to 10% or below, as he'll cast that 30 DMG Cut/DEF Up/Regen buff as soon as he enters neutral at that HP threshold and begin the DPS check. I'm unsure if the overdrive will break at the right time though, which is a huge deal as he gets an "invisible" 30% DMG Cut simply from being in overdrive in the last phase of the fight. The DEF buff might not be too bad as I could slot in a combo booster and apply DEF down from Verdrangen to compensate. The 30% DMG Cut and regen buff healing about 1.1m hp per 5 seconds is really brutal so I think I'll need to have him with only a few %HP left by that point at least. And I'll have to avoid all three of the swords at once which is going to cut into my DPS a bit! It sounds ridiculously difficult to pull off but I hope it's possible if everything goes as I envision.

Unfortunately it's pretty much impossible to solo on any character because of the 10 minute time limit. Unless Cygames decides to patch it to add more time, it's going to be up to modders to change it for a true solo. There already exists a modded version of this fight on nexus with a longer time limit www.nexusmods.com/granbluefantasyrelink/mods/435, so it shouldn't be too hard to make a simple mod that only increases the time limit for this kind of challenge hopefully. If one isn't made in a little while, I might look into modding it myself to increase the time limit!

You can chain them either by pressing the button again at a precise time after dodging (roughly the same amount of time as a dodge cancel on the ground) or by mashing the button really fast, though I always try to time it! It's mostly a practice thing, and even I can't do it consistently all the time. The timing is also a bit delayed if you hit an enemy due to the hitstop from supplementary damage so keep that in mind too.

“Can’t do it consistently” > does it atleast twice each cancel. Even up to 3 times WITH an air dodge on the sword labor phase Beasting haha and thanks for the tip. I should go practice more then, specifically for the one where you cancel it mid air into a mid air dodge then back into perfect execution. I’ve yet to nail that one

It's from the new color pack 5 that you can buy as DLC in version 1.3.

It's a technique you can do by dodge canceling any time before the final hit of the perfect execution (when you hit the ground) and pressing the button again at a certain time or by mashing the button very quickly. I always try to time it correctly instead of mashing, as it's about the same timing as a normal dodge cancel on the ground. This can help in many ways, mostly by making sure that you can dodge an attack and still do the perfect execution, but it's also optimal DPS to loop the first two hits this way if Uwe isn't off cooldown yet. It's not a huge DPS increase so it's not necessary, but I think it's fun to do!

It takes persistence and luck for sure! I believe these were the skills used: Eugen - Armor-Piercing Round, Disruptor, Sumrak, Venom Grenade. Yodarha - Flashing Void, Sky Shatter, Perpetual Rotation, Hymn of the Hundreds. Now that I'm thinking about it, it could be a good idea to drop sky shatter so that he can keep his shroud marks as the A.I. tends to be inefficient with them. Cagliostro - Disruption, Phantasmagoria, Pain Train, empty 4th slot. You could take reinforce here for healing but I was running Life on the Line so I didn't bother.

Yep, I farmed a bunch of them AFK in version 1.2 with Lock Horns - Behemoth.
