A case of convergent evolution - Saber tooth predators
Просмотров 432 часа назад
Saber-toothed animals have appeared multiple times throughout Earth's history, showcasing a remarkable example of convergent evolution. These predators, known for their elongated, blade-like canine teeth, evolved independently in various groups to adapt to similar ecological roles. Music credits: 1. So cool I liket and sub
What about the saber tooth tiger
They are definitely up there, but I thought I'd include some lesser known top predators for this one.
Ooh, a fish with 4 eyes? 😃
Pretty incredible! The more we dig into the animal world the more amazing it gets.
Looks like a "nope" to me.
The slime part seems particularly gross😅
@@Naturalis0 I'm terrified of ocean stuffs. Going into the ocean is re-entering the food chain as far as I'm concerned. May as well go to Montana and try to ride a wild grizzly bear around like a horse. If you go in the ocean, don't be surprised if something like hagfish lays eggs inside you... with so much mucus secreted that you don't even feel it happening, even though your wetsuit doesn't have any holes in it when you emerge from the water.
The atmosphere contained much much much more pure oxygen which helped those ginormous beasts prosper.
Yes, that's especially true when it comes the arthropods. I'm not familiar with its effect on other types of animals though.
Fishworm
another liar
Funny, Im first to like it and comment :3
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
Great video :3 Thrilling and interesting
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Fascinating!👍🏽
Thanks for watching!
"Evolution isn't capable of such intelligent design. It takes a God with true wisdom and creativity to craft creatures with such complexity. God is the Creator, not the falsehood of evolution."
WTF is that scary cursed thumbnail supposed to be?
Its an extinct primitive fish known as Sacabambaspis
Amphibians have snake like versions too :3 Caecilians ;D
Wow that’s really cool! I need to look them up.
Kind of resembles a train, too with cow catcher. Incredible fish.

Haha. Weird fish.

Probably not, by my guess.
This channel is a hidden gem

Please learn to pronounce scientific terms properly. Thanks.
Thanks for your feedback, may I know which terms were pronounced incorrectly?
@@Naturalis0 Thank you for wanting to get things right: 1. Melanocyte, melanosome. Similar problem with each. Wikipedia has a good audio clip with the pronunciation for melanocyte. Note the emphasis on the second syllable: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/d/d8/En-melanocyte.oga/En-melanocyte.oga.mp3 2. Borealopelta gets its name from the boreal location of the find. You pronounced it "bo-reel-o-pelt-ta." It ("boreal")should be three syllables, "bo-ree-al-o-pelt-ta." Proper pronunciation can only increase your credibility. I only commented in the first place because the content was good otherwise.
I appreciate you taking the time to clarify in such detail. It’s helped me notice other terms that may have also been mispronounced, so I can definitely be more careful about it in the future.
💚
Thanks for watching!
Waouh ❤
Thanks for watching!
Camping ahh snake
You didn’t cover that one friend in everyone’s friend group 😂😂
Thanks for your comment! But you'll have to explain this one to me😅
Well done

WHAT COUR NAME BRO
Like dinosaurs?
There are some really strange dinosaurs out there too, I hope to cover some of them in a future video.
elephants originated in the Americas. How did they get to asia and africa? so could have people.
Thanks for your comment! Elephants belong to a group called the proboscideans which are thought to have originated in Africa. Millions of years ago, once they migrated to Eurasia through Arabia they could have travelled into the Americas via a land bridge between Siberia and Alaska that was above sea level during that period.
Awesome!
Thanks for watching!
A frog fish 😂😂
What about ghost sharks?
Thanks for your comment! That's also a very unusual animal. I believe you're referring to Chimaeras which are sometimes called ghost sharks. Despite the name they are not actually sharks but are related to them, so I haven't covered them in this video.
I believe in threaher shark supremacy
That deadly tail fin is quite something
Ive seen a few videos of the Greenland shark, some say the ones they studied are over 500 years old..
It’s amazing, to think a creature born during the 1500s is still swimming somewhere in the deep sea
Isn't it funny that just like nature favoured size reduction our technological advancements in various tools like phones, TVs etc. also favour size reduction
Interesting point, our technology goes through a process of evolution too, where convenience and advanced features were favoured in the market.
