Photographing a Collapsing Mountain
Просмотров 37621 день назад
7 years after a part of Piz Cengalo collapsed, I went on a day hike to document the mountainside and the surrounding mountains on black and white film. Documentation about the landslide in German language: ruclips.net/video/13jcAEZuQ4A/видео.html
Photographing One Mountain from Two Different Countries

Some mountains are easy to recognize, no matter which side of the mountain your're looking at. However, this is not the case for Piz Palü which looks very different on both sides!

Silent Photography from Iceland to Mexico

Silent photography from Iceland to Mexico in one final compilation. As I'm shifting my focus more to aerial photography projects, I am also limiting my resources on everything which is not related to these projects. Therefore the silent photography series is ending for now.

Photography among the World's biggest Cacti I EP 10
Просмотров 333Год назад
The Sonoran Desert is the only place on earth where Saguaro cacti can grow up to a length of 23 meters which is the currently tallest measured cactus worldwide. In this episode I'm exploring the Mexican desert lands with the Leica M6 and the Sony A7rIV. Ancient volcano craters and giant cacti as well as vibrant sunsets with a beautiful afterglow transition into the night were definitely some hi...
One Night Alone in Mexicos Desert between Beauty and Danger I EP 09
Просмотров 578Год назад
After a long ride through northern Mexico with some extra miles to avoid a city which just recently had cartel activity, I made it to my first photography location. Spending a night alone in the Mexican wilderness between howling coyotes and ancient volcano craters was a unique experience and paid off with a vibrant sunrise and sunset.

After a long journey from Tijuana through the Mexican countryside I arrived at the small private air strip where I met up with the pilot to discuss the flight route. Our first flight covered the Colorado River Delta where the Colorado River ends in the Gulf of California. This area is formed by the river itself, in and outgoing tides, as well as the heat of the desert like climate. All together...

Photo Hike in my Hometown I EP 07
Просмотров 2632 года назад
I brought my Leica M6 to a small hike through the world heritage park of my hometown to fill the last frames of a Portra 400 roll. Not every photo trip can happen in breathtaking landscapes and even though the photographs are pretty basic, not to say boring, I enjoyed spending time in this park where many weekend walks in my childhood had happened. www.paullichte.com

Starting a RUclips photography channel in 2021 - How my Journey started
Great stuff - finally someone who cares more about his photographic subject than about "corner sharpness". Nevertheless - as it is about (landscape) detail in your images - I'd be curious to hear from you in a video why you do not shoot digital (like a Leica M11 or so). The film grain in the images shown is quite strong I find... Is it an esthetic or conceptual reason? Or simply personal preference?
Chüebodengletscher is now on my list of hikes for next season, looks incredible
I had no idea Brazil had these sand dunes... Beatifull images as always Paul!
Good to see your back! Awesome video
AND YOU'RE BACK!
wonderful imagery!
>worst camera >leica
Pictures look way better than my pixel 6 pro. Not mention your skill. You earned a subscription and i hope that you get more.
What do you think about fujifilm x-t20 and 18-55mm lens?
this was the best video I saw on youtube in a really long time. the music, shots, voiceover... this could be a documentary in TV.👏
every previous camera was so excellent. just a question. Is it still necessary to develop a new camera?
Everything is just beautiful. 😍 I'm drinking my coffee while watching this. Subscribed 👏🇵🇭
Magnificent work.
Very nice picture and the Leica D Lux .
Very nice pictures and good Leica D Lux !!
Great Video, keep it up!
You should make this a series
I had a d-lux 4. Amazing pictures, till sunset.
Leica content brings me here. Keep up the good work, it’s amazing and niche!
Thank you weird algorithm. That was beautiful
That is a great video !! Thx for this good content
Great to watch. Such a beautiful environment. Great shots.
Beautiful video. LOVE the B&W M6 shots.
Background noise 😢
Really incredible work, 3 megapixels turn an incredibly pretty shot it turns out!
Have just been recommended your channel by the RUclips algorithm, and hot damn. Your videos are absolutely excellent!! I hope that the algorithm brings more people here. You deserve so much more recognition for your work.
Beautiful 🫶🏻
I have watched your “I bought the worst camera to the best location” first to watch which appears to be your first RUclips published. Wow! This is your first!?! I am envious of your journeys, skill of your storytelling and photography. Keep on sharing; it’s phenomenal continuing seeing your progress!
With Leica 35 and 90 and such a great combo. Both lenses together are still significantly smaller than the zooms I used to carry. Especially if you go 35/2 and 90/4. My old Elmar-C 90/4 literally fits in my pocket. The D Lux held up! The shots with foliage against the mountain backdrop looks like promo images for someone's preset pack! Looking forward to watching this channel grow, which it obviously will. Head and shoulders above a lot of content out there doing well already.
the combo is a real joy and the 90mm f4 is a bargain. For the 35mm I'm using the Summarit f2.5
@@paullichte Nice! I want to pick one up one day. Really like the physical handling on the summarit lenses. I'm on third party for now, as buying the body was already more than I shoulda been spending 🙃
@@SourPlanet these lenses pop up every now and then for a good price, fingers crossed.
I can't understand why you have so few subscribers. This video is beautifully made and go so far to compliment the incredible photographs you take both on the D-Lux and while experimenting with the M6. Such an inspiration to just make beautiful art regardless of the tools at hand well done!
diggy cem
This is an excellent video that you clearly put great effort into. I enjoyed every second, amazing job! Subscribed :)
Subscribed! Nice vid
Just wow.
Beautiful video ! Great cinematography !
U are talented.
Great video man, can't wait for the next! Also, definitely got me interested in picking up one of those cameras...
Clickbait title
Good job. This video was really great!
Leica M6 is quite the expensive film camera. I don't think I could convince myself to buy one. I like shooting film, but it is SO tedious. And I have to pay to have the chemicals properly disposed of. So that's why I kind of moved away from film. Still, you have some nice images here for a 3mp camera. I would like to see this camera compared to a similar camera from the same era, like a Sony 3mp. I'm just not convinced the Leica is better just because of the name. Maybe you can do that in your next video.
understandable decision, film has some disadvantages indeed. I don't think the D Lux is that special either but still works solidly regardless of its age.
I have been binge watching this channel since yesterday. It's therapeutic
Great video, Can I ask you if you use the original battery or if you found a replacement?
Joined! The D-Lux One has been on my eBay watchlist but still too expensive for me! But it is what sent me to one of your videos!
Wow! There are some lovely images in this video. I can't say I've seen any images of the Alps like the ones at the end with ice floating in what looks like a caldera, well done!
Great video! Really enjoyed the snapshots and the story telling
The 3 MP camera holds very well. For instagrammers, more than enough. Your drone footage is breathtaking. Congrats and keep the good work. Cheers!
I agree, it's rather made for snapshots with friends but fun to use regardless of the subject
Hey suddenly so many new faces here, thanks for your input everyone! Btw I still have a give away running, you might check the latest "updates" video if you like to participate.
Participated! The D-Lux sent me here! 🔥
Thanks for this very beautiful and well composed video. what a spectacular place and great photos.
Beautiful work
wait... are you allowed to wild camp in switzerland?
Not sure but probably not. I only went to campsites and during off season they almost felt like wild camping.
