I am a collage artist and I don't believe in Instagram anymore. I have 2,5k followers on Pinterest (don't know how :D haha) and I was thinking, maybe Pinterest worth to try it ? I have a Patreon and I would like to redirect to the Patreon but also show my work like photo galery (as Instagram used to be). Do you think it's manegeable ? Realistic ?

My account have been deactivated today😢 , at least give us warning, just today i log in it says my acc have suspended, i have 119 followers and follow many people, if i make new acc surely it will not be same and unique like original and hard to reach followers higher like that , i am very unmood now, its like someone demolished your building blocks that a take year to mske it 😟🤳

Why am I losing Pinterest boards?

I worry that AI will create mental laziness. With its vast abilities, it could potentially dilute one’s mental ability for problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, etc etc. Yes, it’s definitely intriguing and fun to experiment with, but I’m a cautious user. For Pinterest, I have been using AI to write pin descriptions because it’s a huge timesaver! I give it the KWs to include. But with my blogs and other content, I’m keeping it real using my authentic voice 😉Great insight as always, Kate! Thanks for sharing!

How can you be consistent? I used to create an image pin everyday and felt overwhelmed after a couple months. Can you expand more on that consist pinning? Does it include re-pining pins you have posted in the past? What about pinning other people? Or is it fresh content everyday?

I've been wondering about this too, after watching a TikTok from a frustrated Pinterest fan being shown repetitious AI-generated results for one of her queries. It was obvious from her screenshare just how awful the results were. Perhaps Pinterest will make engagement a more important metric in its algorithm, so the combination of unsatisfying images and repetition will reduce the impact of those accounts which are flooding Pinterest right now.

Hi Kate, I am in my early sixties and just starting my Pinterest journey and completely agree with your analysis. I am a traditional 'paint and brushes' artist, but have embraced AI, both ChatGPT and Midjourney. I have found both tools invaluable. ChatGPT for resarch and testing ideas and MIdjourney for creating image reference that I cannot access or readily create in the real world. An example would be a portrait painting of a king sitting on a throne in a cathedral with dramatic lighting. In the past the artist would have to find the model, get props, place them in the right environment set up the lighting and then have the model sit for days and weeks . With Midjourney I can use my own reference images to begin with feed them into Midjourney and then have it create me a virtual set. It still takes a great of deal time to cretate the correct prompts, but the end results, (that I have managed to create) is a series of reference images that look completely real and that I can reference to create the real painting. AI is here to stay. Embrace it and use it responsibly, put in the effort and you can get amazing results. Anyway I hope you find this comment useful. Best Wishes from the UK.

AI is making Pinterest unusable. So many pinners are detailing their disappointment with so much ai appearing in searches, ecspecially those who believe in climate change (since ai uses so much energy if unclear).

It's refreshing for someone to acknowledge how frustrating it is when titles like "how I used AI to pin 100/day and earned 1million" is all that gets shown to people and your genuine content gets pushed down. So thank you for saying this.

I created a Pinterest for the 1st time a few months ago. I don’t feel like spending time on there to curate my feed but I wanted to download a bunch of pretty images.

I have never really used Pinterest, so this video was very helpful. The most confusing thing was the boards, but I realized that it's like someone's organized 'files,' almost and one of the goals is that my pins get saved

If we start a brand new business account vs. using a current business account, will Pinterest be more likely to push out our pins since the new account is fresh and more "active"?

No hashtags on Pinterest? Why does Pinterest keep changing stuff all the time? So exasperating! Now I see shopping bags on my pins and I sure as heck didn't put them there. The instructions on how to get rid of them don't work either. Would you say Pinterest is primarily for shoppers? I write inspirational stuff and trying to figure out what the best platform is.
