NEVADA CHUKAR LAST WEEKEND
Просмотров 2684 месяца назад
last weekend of fun now we suffer through summer
The action is a lot more intense with labs
Great video, I hunt the same areas with a black lab. A lot of people say labs aren’t chukar dogs, and sure I might not get into as many coveys as my buddies with a pointer, but I can tell you he has retrieved more down birds than any of my buddies dogs. Great hunting, love seeing lab’s being hunted and proving the pointing purists wrong
@@VonHoofla1 yeah a lot of people can't imagine using lab's for chukar, that's why I'm here to spread awareness of LAB supremacy. Nothing better than Pointer purist tears. And don't sell yourself short they always tend to over-inflate their numbers. JK😁
This might be the best one yet
You always get these cool shots with them flying at you! I had a thought watching your vid now... can you get a limit in one state and then go to the next state and still hunt??? Or is there something that says no that's a naughty thing?
@@TheRoamingHazard the only thing is that you'd have to fill out a affidavit to bring game across the border. So if you kill the limit in California you have to fill out one to go into Nevada, and then have an affidavit for the Nevada birds to come to California. Was that confusing? And you're supposed to have four affidavits copies. I thought about that then but I didn't want to fill out that many affidavits.
@@Fetchem_Up No that makes sense. The more I was thinking about it I figured you would have to make some sort of declaration, tag the birds somehow, or something. And the way game laws work video/pics, and a bread crumb feature might also not be a bad idea.
He's probably cleaned over a thousand birds

Pick up your empties
@@justinpeck2201 I sure try to pick them up but some times I just can't find them. I pick up everybody else's and there water bottle's and cans, don't forget the balloons I find one of those almost every time.
Picking up empties is low priority.keeping eye on downed birds and retrieving them comes first Jack. Most hunters bring out way trash than they take in.
@ this is so ignorant. Let’s leave our trash on the land we have access to hunt our birds. So that we no longer have access to hunt on it. Good job man, way to respect the land and make hunters look good.
@justinpeck2201 I'd have to say your the ignorant one. Obviously you've never hunted wild chukar or you don't get many, if you're even a hunter. I'm the last person you can get after for leaving trash. I'm always picking up stuff from other people. Many times I've gotten after people for littering. But I'm not going to lose a bird because I'm looking for a near impossible thing to find in the rock and grass. So that being said these guys posting videos don't want to leave their empties but sometimes that's the way it is. So keep your whining to yourself Karen.
I have motion sickness now. But it looks like you had a gpod time.
I understand what you're saying. I'll try to do better but I'm no cameraman. Thanks for watching.
Where in CA are you, north by Redding or south by Mojave desert? This my first season so I’m trying to learn where to go. Thanks.
@@joelparsons608 Farther north eastern like Lasson county. There's a limited area here with chukar that's why we hunt Nevada a lot and it forces us to do camping trips that we really enjoy. Thanks for the comment and subscription.
At 3:30 +/- was that Your dog you almost shot, or someone else's ??
Did that bird's head come off at 1:27 ?
@@LabradorGuy-p1x sure did he was a little close
I know I’m not supposed to ask, but I’ll try anyway. Where is this at?
I think California 😉
What choke you running?
@@parkerbaker4625 The factory modified choke that came in it. I've always used modified and I can't bring myself to buy in one of those fancy ones when it works.
What a rookie move not tightening your shock collar.Thought for sure you'd miss that bird when you let it fly over the top of you.
@@LabradorGuy-p1x I know but it happens sometimes, and I don't think it was going to work either.
@@Fetchem_Up I've forgot to put the collar on all together before and then thought damn she a tough stubborn little bitch right now! 🤣
Eep and Gator are a great team
Great job. How come I’m always on cliffs and climbing mountains to see them😀
@@rogerbresnahan8552 thanks for watching. I would say because you're not walking the low easy stuff. I'll find some harder hills eventually but I haven't walked a steep hill yet this season😁
Good job
@@jackrobinson7465 thanks
14:53 was day 3
Nice work!!
Thanks. A lot of birds this year, get out there.
The wind noise is about accurate it was Extremely windy.
That sounds like the worst having somebody else in your spot 😆
@@LabradorGuy-p1x yeah it's annoying but what's I guy to do😄
Dang! That fella knows what he’s doing.
I think this is the first time I've seen a legit 3 for 1 on chuks in the air. 👍
Awesome to see someone getting on these birds with flushing dogs!! I’m excited to get after it myself with my springer spaniel and soon also an airdale!
Thanks. I have not seen a springer spaniel on chukar before and never thought to use an Airedale, Should be a unique combo. Have fun.
Nice hunt
I've heard that 20ga works just fine😉
I haven't seen any proof of that from 20ga. 12ga is better in every way. Thanks for the comment.
I was just messing with you.
Labs are by far the best dog for any category
Amazing the terrain you are walking over Beautiful Dogs are loving it Epe and gator Really like the slow motion
Can't say I have seen that before. Especially with a double barrel.
One of the many reasons semi-autos are better
👍🏻 nice!
Thanks 👍
Too bad you didn’t have pointers. 😢 Nice hunting!
No pointers is my favorite part and the cherry on top is all of his birds get retrieved.
