Look up Rupert it was adorable. LMAOOOO 😂 it legit looked ketchup and mustard. A little polar bear. Cute as a button. Some of the shows we watched as kids were kinda weird. 😂

@@melissa_hilliard_ifekristii I just looked it up and it does look cute! I miss the way cartoons were drawn back then. Now most cartoons have that same look like they are trying to mimic Pixar but it either comes off as ugly or is so overdone. I think of the new reboot Rugrats character style. I also hate how a lot of plush toys and kid’s clothing now has animal characters with huge oversized eyes (like the current beanie babies). But I guess they have to be on trend and create things that sell. 😂 I think a lot of people in our age group have a weird sense of humor because of the weird cartoons we used to watch back then. I was not permitted to watch Ren and Stimpy because it was very crude. To this day, I am too scared to watch it on paramount plus and won’t let my future kids or grandkids see it. 😂

Oh yeah. I watched reruns of Heathcliff and watched Bobby's World on Fox Kids every Saturday morning. Jonny Quest from the 60s was wild, then the reboot in the 80s, then the 90's it was adorable, but it was just out there. 😆 Loved Captain Planet and Darkwing Duck. OMG, Louie Andersons animated show! That brought back a memory 😂

Melt is waaaayyy to hit or miss for me. Especially for the price. I didn't pick up the Nightmare Before Christmas Collaborations - it seems they have an OK or subpar or excellent matte formulation, but the shimmers/metallics are lacking. ColourPlop has the good/OK or daaang - this is a great formula, and it's never consistent. Some palettes from them have had me casket ready. Super ashy! Yikes! I remember that disaster Candyland palette 🫣🫣🫣 I don't disagree with your comments on their formula. I just think they have their own factory/laboratory to not have a consistently awesome formulation - makeup revolution girl that gave me a bit of cosmetic PTSD. LMAOOOO 😂 😭 Ooooh. I'm sorry to hear about your health. I hope everything is getting better. 🤞🏾🫶🏾

@@melissa_hilliard_ifekristiiI think CP should always have a good consistent formula because like you said they own their own lab. But I think they try to be stingy and do cheaper formulas sometimes or they just don’t know how to formulate certain shades well. I don’t like their pastels. They are chalk city! @celestecelestial90 Agreed, for having their own lab, they should be stellar out the gate every launch, but they aren't. 🥺 You're more than likely correct on them trying to cut some corners and save money. I have pastels from others that do it way better! Seriously take care of yourself and your mental health. Need a friendly ear - non-judgmental ear you can msg me. 💜

I love my Clionadh shadows but I completely understand 😂. I remember feeling underwhelmed when I received my first few shadows. They're so hyped I guess i was just expecting more. To be fair, I tried Clionadh kinda late so I was kinda spoiled with tons of special shades from other brands.

I still have the Peanut Butter and Jelly one from years ago. 👀I got rid of the Buidoir Eyes palette awhile ago because it wasn’t pigmented or cool tone enough for what I was expecting. I think it was the glitter from the Mariale palette that definitely went bad. Pressed glitters go bad faster because of all the oil they have, but it made the whole palette stink. 😟If something smells bad I’m not going to want it to eat it or put it on my face out of precaution, so it’s best that I toss it. 😆

@celestecelestial90 I totally get it. LoL 🤣 The packaging is so adorable! One of the reasons I don't jive with pressed glitters in my palettes. I decluttered nearly all of those who did have pressed glitter in them - even if I loved the color scheme. 😆😅 I was like, nope. 😂

Why, thank you! I agree - definitely have tons of respect for her artistry. But her makeup/beauty line is stagnant (pinks/neutrals sell - Charlotte Tillbury/NARS/Huda Beauty, etc. . .) I had the collectors' mentality for a while. LoL. I haven't purchased Mothership XI. 😅

I seriously love Pat's artistry and her background. It's amazing. But I think investors or others on the team see how well neutral pinks sell, and her last really adventurous palette was probably Midnight Sun after her 1st three launched. 😅🫣 I need to show mine more love. That's a great question - the most beginner friendly would be (in my opinion) either Adept's Plain Jane or Unearthly's All I Wanted Vol. 2. With Pink Crush coming in 3rd place. I hope it helps. 🫶🏾

I love Darwing Duck - (cries in missing my childhood) 🤣😭😂😅😫😩 Gargoyles freaked me out when I was little but 17 year old me? LOVED IT. Yes, Darkwing Duck would have a bright but subtle color story. Gargoyles cool-tones grungy dinghy vibes from the dark NYC landscape. It's wild the stuff we still keep from childhood, isn't it? LoL. 😆

I’m having a change in my makeup tastes lately so that’s another reason why I’m not buying as much colorful makeup anymore. I did do a lot of damage at the Sydney Grace Christmas in July sale. 😂 I got Mel’s bundle, a mystery bags with some cream products, eye brush set, 2 loose pigments, loose highlighter, purple taupe single shadow and a free $100 gift with purchase. 😆

@celestecelestial90 I got that sugar and grunge palette. It's cute! I'm still colorful, but it's really lip stains and lip oils. Nursing school clinicals don't make me want to put on a full face of anything other than skincare and maybe a tint with powder and a bold lip. 😅 I love Sydney Grace Christmas in July sale. Sounds like you got tons of fabulous products! I didn't purchase anything this time because I already have quite a few items from them that I haven't even used yet. 🤣🫣 I am on a slow buy no makeup purchases until November. Just to let me use and play with what I have. Plus, there is so much schooling and a full-time job.

Smart move to skip the sale, and focus on what you already have from them for now. I’ve been on a low buy all year. I really haven’t bought much, especially in comparison to previous years so I’m happy with my progress. Good luck on your no buy! The end of November has holiday and Black Friday sales so you’ll still be able to take advantage of that if you want.

Awwww thank you! 🥰 I just had fun playing in my makeup that long day at work. I own that palette, too. I would stick with Devinah as well. I'm legit not that impressed with the Clionadh multichromes. I feel like they are thick and kinda gritty. 😕 I didn't get the hype and spent quite a bit, but thankfully, they were on sale! I just placed an order for the Phantom orbs collection 😂🫣😅🤣 from Devinah - so excited! I normally wouldn't skip on the Oden's Eye collab palettes, but honestly, they didn't do anything for me color story wise. They are gorgeous, and I watch all 3 creators. I just don't gravitate towards the color schemes. I wish them tons of success though. Get the lotion! LoL. As someone who placed a nice Ulta order recently do it. I love all my body care and fragrances. 💜 Yes, the pandemic is no joke; friends and colleagues are testing positive and not feeling well. Ugh. . . It's rough. . .😞

@@melissa_hilliard_ifekristii I like that you use multiple palettes and singles to create a look. At most I use 2 palettes and maybe a liquid shadow sometimes because I’m too lazy to get up to get more makeup. 😂 With Clinodah being so expensive, my expectations would be set high. I didn’t want to be disappointed and they’ve always been expensive so I never bit the bullet. At least you were able to try them and found out for yourself that they aren’t anything special. I want to buy those orbs too. Let me know how you like them. I watch one of the 3 creators but I wish them all success in their collabs and do sometimes pop in and watch some videos from the other 2 women. They all produce high quality content. 🙂 The color stories didn’t grab me either. I was more interested in the ones by Tina, Judy and Annette based on color stories so I’m happy to have those in my collection. I think I’ll get it because it is a moisturizer so it’s a “need” in my book. Everyone needs to use lotion on their face. I may get Clinique happy but will apply it lightly if I do because I know it can be too strong if I do tons of sprays on myself. COVID is not just like the flu. The symptoms last longer and it can negatively effect some many things in your body in the longer term at least for some people. I’m definitely getting the booster when eligible and will continue using my KN95 masks. 😷 I hope your friends and colleagues feel better soon and don’t have long term symptoms.

@@melissa_hilliard_ifekristii You’re welcome! Yes definitely use and love them all! My Devinah arurora flares are definitely smooth so I know what you mean. They are a statement eyeshadow to me. I love using them especially in the Fall and Winter because they are deeper colors. That’s true! I still have plenty but I want a back up because it’s expensive at full price. My oily skin in sensitive so I’m hesitant to try other things. I can’t handle any fragrance in my skincare, and this Clinique one is fragrance free. Yes that legendary diversa immediately caught my eye so I had to buy them. Those singles were too pricey for me. Plus I saw some very similar looking on AliExpress and it made me wonder if those are the same ones, just with an inflated price point. 👀🤔 I rather just go with Devinah again because I know those are handmade. You’re welcome! I’m glad they are better. My family is all COVID negative now, thankfully. My parents tested themselves again yesterday and they are negative.
