These children come from low income based living situations and their families can't always afford the luxuries as those who are well off. Such as private schools, expensive learning tools, and tutors, each of these elements help them gain their Independence and growth. Statistics state it takes nearly $60k on average to fund all the necessities these children need on a yearly basis. Something so simple as a mural on the outside and inside of their new building will increase the visual sensory and allow them to feel at home and actually feel as if it isn't an institute, relieves some of the tensions theses children are dealing with inside.
