Automotive Repair and Motorsports videos!
A Channel now dedicated to Honoring Tim and all about Fun Times in the Garage with Family & Friends. To Keep Tim's memories alive Heather (Tim's wife) now with the help of their family and friends take on cool projects that Tim would smile upon. Thanks for being here on this journey with us! Nothing made Tim smile more than the Love he had for his family and the adrenaline RUSH he got from fixing something and going fast!
Tim had Big Plans for VanLeeuwen Garage and wanted to start a new adventure and leave a Legacy behind for our two sons Jason and Noah. He wanted nothing more than his sons to grow up as Men knowing how to work on things that he had shown them. I hope that some day this chapter and this channel will come together and be a place that Jason and Noah will come join forces and be able to make their Dad so proud and working together full time in his Honor.

YEESSS!!!!!! My apologies, I had to go look at mine. # 039 is a 4-bolt block number. Mine are also #487 heads! They are 71-72 LT1 Corvette head. For an iron head, they flow pretty good. More importantly, they are a strong head. not prone to cracking.
Hey! Montana Randy here, just got back from Bozeman. Those look like LT1 heads. Is the last 3 of the casting # 039?
@@randyszerencse7320 Hey Randy!! I should do a video and give a little more history of this engine. It actually came out of a late 80s Chevy Suburban. We are thinking these might be 993 or 487 style of heads.
hey looking good One more step and you will burning those tireslater
Thank you my friend!! 😆 oo it’s going to be fun!! I can barely contain myself.
LOL, Doing it this way gives you more comments.🤩🤩
Definitely appreciate the comments and encouragement 👍🏼
But If yyou got a 9" layin around? #Way Cool!!
We do not have a 9” laying around. But since this Chevelle was to be my retirement project with my Tim..and since he passed..I’m getting to things a little sooner. Tim would always tease me and say “everyone knows all the big boys plays with a ford 9” and a big block heather” 😄 RUclips was definitely Tim’s thing so in his honor I’m keeping his name, Channel, Memory Alive.
It's all good, not judging. Spend your money how you want. I get it. Oh great, this sucks! I can't insert a pic of My Chevelle!😪
Oo I can definitely tell your the joking type and nonjudgmental. All good! 👍🏼 so appreciate you following the journey. Now I definitely have to see your Chevelle..send an email..vanleeuwenfamilyfarm@gmail.com 😄
You can add a "Lock Rite" to loose the 1 wheel peel.
Cass and I might have to get that accomplished for the time being! Thanks for the tip!! 😄
With Your 350, There isn't much need for a 9"
🤣 You sound like my friend Justin he says the same thing. I love it 🤣🤣
Looking good ❤
@@morepower3242 thank you friend! ☺️
cool 1 step closer and you will be rolling
@@265chevy super exciting!!! Not sure who’s more excited myself or Cass 🤣 Keeping us busy for sure!
I have a question in regards to my own project, when I am replacing a brake line is it crucial the bleed the system after replacement, and also when replacing do I need to make the line the same bends and length and everything as the old one?
Hi 👋 Yes we bled the brakes after we replaced the line..absolutely crucial because you will find out if you have any leaks..any bolts you missed or anything that needs replaced further. As far as the bends and length we bought a kit that was pre bend (through JEGS) and length fit to the Chevelle that came pretty close to the one we took off. However we did have to finagle and get it to fit properly. We have a full video that comes out Friday that shows you the process and little problems that Cass and I ran into while installing this brake line on this 70 Chevelle.
@@VanLeeuwengarage awesome, to give you more info, I am currently working on restoring a 95 f150 that sat for about 20 years. I purchased a coil of copper-nickel brake line and just snaked it through and bent where I needed. I guess my question is will it still perform properly? Or was the shape and length of the factory line crucial?
@ The 95 F150..my late Husband Tim was a Ford man through and through. To answer the question, “no”, the length and bends in the break lines really doesn’t mater since it’s a closed loop system. Once all the air is out of the system, it’s all hydraulic from there! The pressure applied by the master cylinder will apply the pressure to the calipers and wheel cylinders according. That is as long as all the adjustments are correctly made to the break shoes. It will work fine as long as there are no leaks.
@ thank you for the guidance
@@michaeld-pr9rj Glad we could help! Thanks for watching our channel! Good luck with your project!
Cant wait to see the new color
@@265chevy it looks so great!! 😀 Totally different vibes..I’m so glad to see that green GO!

Nice work. On my Chevelle will have to do the same thing. Had my Chevelle since high school to.
@@265chevy No joke 😃..that’s awesome!! a 1970 as well? What engine do you have in yours? We are actually just getting ready to take the Car out this week to test those brakes to see if our work is going to hold up 🤣 I’m excited but also first time being nervous. @@Vivianauxito thank so much for your support. Tim was great about showing his viewers just how and what to do on a project. Sadly He passed away in a car accident in May. I’m his wife (Heather) I do this channel for Tim in honor of Tim..to keep his memory alive. Our current project is a 1970 Chevelle..so I’m not sure how LEDs would fit into that. @@hardtail-gy8dk thank you 🙏 it’s definitely bittersweet. Trying to find that place of peace and keeping Tims memory alive but at the same time remembering all the talks and plans we had to do it together. Feeling thankful for his uncle and our friends that have stepped up to lend a helping hand on this project and journey forward. Will be great to take that first ride again for Tim once all the new things are put together. Thank you for watching and prayers. God Bless.
Четкий подход 👍
Look at all that extra space! Girl, at 60(ish) years, that car really brings a smile to my face and delight to my eyes.
@@LBRS2nd Thank you! 😊 owning this car and all the memories over the years has been really fun.
@VanLeeuwengarage Please get it done soon with lots of pictures for future memories. Times are changing, and memories of beauty (a transcendental) will be valuable.
@@LBRS2nd Myself and some friends have been steadily working on this project every weekend in memory of Tim. Tim was a remarkable man and we always had dreamed of having this project together. So bittersweet for me..but also trying to focus on what all he would want done. We talked of passing this car down to our oldest son. So for him the old Chevelle needs to be a little safer and have updates done. I appreciate you taking this journey with us and watching the process.
The memories you have behind the car are just invaluable💕💕
@@madiwhite7848 24 years of memories but the BEST are the last 20 years with Tim being part of that history with this car! Even when we were young..didn’t have a dime to our name he never let me sell this car because he said it was “ours” together ❤️
LOVE the purple and white😻
@@elizabethwhite17 A lot of people say they love the purple and white! It looks pretty when it’s all washed and waxed. Thanks for watching and sharing babe! ❤️
It can only be a Bow Tie of course.
@@rennhelberg8569 This bow tie is pretty special for sure. A lot of sentimental memories attached.
It had a 351m at that time. I later built a 400 for it.
WAT moter in that Ford
Man wat u got in that Ford
Nice I have one well ... It was my dads a dude was driving down the rode and some how it came out of his truck lol we found it in my grand dads cow Feld
thats a nice ride for 800. you must not live in the salt states. that thing would be rusted in half where i live.
who can resist them
That truck was a workhorse.
We used to have a 1980 F250 with a 400, C6 Auto, 3000lb overloads, 4.10 limited slip Dana 60.
thats not a stump
I listed them at the end of the vid.
Thanks man! The floors are good and solid. This one is gettin restored. maybe a little muddin once in a while but no hardcore wheelin for this bronco. I Plan on finding rough one and buildin it for offroadin. But I want to keep this one nice.
camera guy is stupid for walking so close to that strap it may not be a chain but it'll still tear your ass up
@CRACKERonRM2FIDDY I ran it on the street for a while but it started to wear out my back tires. At the time of these vids, I just used it for wheelin. Never had any problems with the mini spool.
Nope. Just an open diff. with 3.50 gears.
That truck does good in 2WD. It'd have no problem with 4x4.
Thanks for watching. Great memory out on the farm that we just had bought at the time.
That truck sounds awesome. Nice truck.
Thank you!
I have a thing for these 80-86 F-series trucks. I got an 86, NP435 (4-speed with low), NP208, and Ford 9" rear and the 5.0 EFI. Been a great truck. Lots of fun off road, too.
Stock 3.00 gears. mini spool in the rear end. Open front diff.
BAD ASS FORD! Can't believe you didn't need a tow strap, that's one tough ford you got.
