SUMMARY: For thrill seekers, _Disney California Adventure_ is better with a more thrill oriented line of attractions than Disneyland. (e.g. _Incredicoaster, Grizzly River Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: BREAKOUT!_ ) Food is typically better at DCA, and crowds are smaller due to Disneyland being more popular. All of this in trade of less to do. (Ride-wise.) Looking for a casual experience? *Disneyland is better.* A more family-based park with more rides, with the small number of thrill rides being much more tame than its neighboring park. (e.g. _Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad_ ) It is much richer in history than California Adventure. Seems to focus more on quantity over quality in its rides, especially in the Fantasyland area.

We love the Minnie & Friends buffet! It is expensive but we consider the extra cost as buying a "lightning lane" for meeting characters. Which works for us since are kids are too little to do Space Mountain or any of the thrill rides that make lightning lane worth the cost.

Thank you for all this information. I was looking for something just like this. I have a little girl of 6 years old and is the first time in disneyland and was thinking in all this kind of stuff that you need to a comfortable trip with kids.

Honestly, Legoland is not as busy compared to Disneyland. That's probably because Legoland is targeted toward kids while Disneyland is for all ages.
