Recessional Hymn: LSB 644 The Church's One Foundation
Beautifully played! I love that I can always hear your congregation singing!
@@timrozitis961 I would sing too, but I would overpower the video, and I also have a hard time playing and singing together.
@paulkacanowski agree - I've tried singin while playing, but can't keep it going consistently
i love oit of tune instruments i wanna get a bunch of shitty instruments to play this is wonderful
Looks a nice big church - and the organ is sure sounding great - was the melody for the first verse on he pedals?
@@timrozitis961 A little bit of improving. I was experimenting around to see what each stop sounded like.
Sounds amazing! So cool!
Beautiful!
@@Infernacity Thank you!
Lovely, Paul. What is the name of your church? I used to play for an ELCA congregation but I have a soft spot for the LC-MS
@@carmelitequotes St. John Lutheran Church, Ray, MI
A fantastic collection of music!
This is on of my favourite Advent hymns (is there pipes downstairs too or is ha another organ (sort of where the Pastor is at the beginning))
@@timrozitis961 That is a pipe fascade from the old organ. Unfortunately they couldn't repair and had to discard it.
sounds wondrful!
I arranged this prelude using bass line. Let me know what you think.
One of my favorite hymns
@@Massillontigerfan It's a really great hymn.
awesome (i think your church looks spectacular from this view)
@@timrozitis961 It does. I was here just as a substitute organist.
Sounds great!
This is beautiful and very soothing. God bless and be with you
@@JosephusAurelius Thank you
Beautiful! Glad to see subscribers is up to 93!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@josephr.gainey2079 Thankyou. I am going to record a different chant for the Our Father and the Nicene Creed.
Praying for you as promised. Please pray for my neighbors and all others impacted by this. We got some of the spin off from the hurricane although Spartanburg County is about 80-100 miles east of the eye of the storm. On a street of 17 houses, four homes are totally destroyed, seven or eight houses have visible damage. The rest of us only have limbs down in our yards. No power or idea when we will get it back--may be a week or longer. All things considered, I have been so BLESSED and am so VERY THANKFUL FOR God's mercies he showed me through this!!!!!!!!! Joseph
@@josephr.gainey2079 I'm sorry to hear that. I will definitely pray.
Beautiful sanctuary. What church is this?
@@andrewwaltrip8552 St. John Lutheran Church (LCMS), Ray, MI.
This organ has lovely reed stops. I would LOVE to see a tour of the instrument.
@@anthonyshiels9273 I can do that, but the only thing is we are still missing several notes in our 16' trumpet. Some of them are completely broken and it would cost too much to get new ones.
Sounds a lovely hymn - beautifully leading the congregation
For some reason, whenever I try to post a response on the video I previously contacted you on, I get an error message and have been trying for some time. Such is life. Thank you for the permission to pray for you. It was most kind!!!!!!!!!! I have no living close family and am single. Therefore, I am VERY HAPPY to have someone to pray for!!!!!!!!! I will remember you by name every day in my morning and evening prayers starting tonight, as well as any time I think of you during the day. GOD BLESS!!!!!!! Joseph
@@josephr.gainey2079 I am also having issues with RUclips on other videos. Jesus Christ is our only hope in trouble. Psalm 46 is really great to pray.
@@paulkacanowski AMEN!!!!!!!!!
@@paulkacanowski will pray 46
@@josephr.gainey2079 Eventually I want to record a Compline service with chants.
Paul, I'll start saving to send you money to help bring it to pass. I can't send much, but, it will certainly be from the heart! Joseph
Are you in college now? Not that my prayers are anything special--may I have your permission to pray for you, your life now, and your future? If not, I understand. Joseph
@@josephr.gainey2079 Of course you may pray for me. Everyone needs all the prayers they can get. Yes, I'm in college, I just started my second year. 2 more years until seminary.
This is not the tune I'm used to for these words. What is it called?
@@josephr.gainey2079 Old 124th abbr.
@@paulkacanowski Thank you!
Thank you for your kindness in posting these videos. You bring joy into the world of this old man who can't play or sing a note.
@@josephr.gainey2079Thankyou. I'm glad to do this. I'm getting ready for Seminary in a few years, so I'm building organ skills if I ever need them.
This is so very hard for me to see or believe in my life right now.
rock on!
No Monday evening Divine Service this week, so I had to fill in the gap with the congregation. This is the hymn we would've sang, but no one shows up for Labor Day.
Is this a Lutheran church? Also, are you now taking music lessons? Wishing you all the best. With prayers, Joseph
@@josephr.gainey2079 Yes it is. We are in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. I am taking lessons now, just started back in June. Thank you.
Nicely played!!
Nice one!
One of my favourites (I used it as an entrance hymn)
@@timrozitis961 It is really nice when you have a large crowd to sing this hymn. I had a once in a great while opportunity to use a 16' trumpet on the final stanza, which really blended well. Just ignore my finger slips, I was a bit nervous with playing for a crowd this size.
I sometimes play for a large congregtaion, but I *wish* they would sing even half as much as this!! (and don't worry about the finger slips - we all do them, but I suspect we notice them more in our own playing)
@@timrozitis961 This was a rare opportunity for me. This was an Installation service for our Assistant Pastor, so that's why we had so many people.
I LOVE the Chimes on this instrument.
@@anthonyshiels9273 From what the Pastor told me, it sounds like the congregation just got them too.
I apologize for this hymn being a bit fast. This was a huge crowd, and I'm not used to huge crowds and I was also nervous. The other hymns went fine though.
Actually, I like it at this tempo. GOOD JOB AND GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@josephr.gainey2079 Thankyou and God Bless you as well.
Great Job!
Fantastic!
Nicely played!
Sounds great (probably one of my favourite hymns - although there's a lot of hymns that fit that category) EDIT: re the pipes downstairs another organ, or are they pipes for this one?)
@@timrozitis961 That is a pipe fascade from the old organ that was from the 1800. It fell into disrepair and was donated. The congregation wanted to keep a piece of it, so when the church was built, they installed that down there.
Very nice. Curious. May I ask the name of this congregation?
@@davidwiist4950 St. John Lutheran, Ray, MI. We are Missouri Synod.
Love nice baroque music on pipe organ.
@@KandiKlover I have more, but I'm currently listening to them to see which ones are good. When I recorded these, it wasn't my best day on organ, but it went decent.
Thank you Paul.
Unironically love this
I always wish to have a harpsichord. I think that harpsichord will sound fabulous after tuning it. You should try to tune it
@@bdan_2974 I don't own it, it's down at the seminary.
Cool jazz
7 tet harpsichord
Very cool!
You should do a rickroll
Uhh. No... Not in church
Love this video is there a way i can view your train videos??
😆
What Church is this?
This is Kramer Chapel on the campus of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I’ve worshiped / played here! It’s one of the most incredible acoustic spaces I’ve been in. I think that in a few hundred years, this chapel will hold a place in history similar to the ones that gothic churches / cathedrals hold now.
I'm hoping to be a Seminary student here in a few years, as well as continuing to improve my organ skills.
Hi Paul how have you been? I been doing good!!!!
I've been busy, but school finishes up tomorrow for me.
Hopefully we can TrainWatch again soon!
