Nicely played!
Sounds great (probably one of my favourite hymns - although there's a lot of hymns that fit that category) EDIT: re the pipes downstairs another organ, or are they pipes for this one?)
@@timrozitis961 That is a pipe fascade from the old organ that was from the 1800. It fell into disrepair and was donated. The congregation wanted to keep a piece of it, so when the church was built, they installed that down there.
Very nice. Curious. May I ask the name of this congregation?
@@davidwiist4950 St. John Lutheran, Ray, MI. We are Missouri Synod.
Love nice baroque music on pipe organ.
@@KandiKlover I have more, but I'm currently listening to them to see which ones are good. When I recorded these, it wasn't my best day on organ, but it went decent.
Thank you Paul.
Unironically love this
I always wish to have a harpsichord. I think that harpsichord will sound fabulous after tuning it. You should try to tune it
@@CrestSpace I don't own it, it's down at the seminary.
Cool jazz
7 tet harpsichord

Very cool!
You should do a rickroll
Uhh. No... Not in church
Love this video is there a way i can view your train videos??
😆
What Church is this?
This is Kramer Chapel on the campus of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I’ve worshiped / played here! It’s one of the most incredible acoustic spaces I’ve been in. I think that in a few hundred years, this chapel will hold a place in history similar to the ones that gothic churches / cathedrals hold now.
I'm hoping to be a Seminary student here in a few years, as well as continuing to improve my organ skills.
Hi Paul how have you been? I been doing good!!!!
I've been busy, but school finishes up tomorrow for me.
Hopefully we can TrainWatch again soon!
I feel like you do this one for me ❤
I did.
Lovely!
Awesome. Thank you Paul!
Thank you Paul. This is inspiring. I am also mostly self-taught, but of course we now have free music lessons all over the internet. I don't sight-read very well at all, but I understand basic music and chord theory.
Yeah, I was brought out of necessity. I still have a lot of learning to do. This hymn was a complicated one to learn with those extra sharps in the Tenor line.
Sounds just so dreadful
Yeah, I wasn't used to this congregation. I was filling in there that day. I'm sure you heard that slight mess up at the beginning 😬.
That was great Paul!!
Thank you for sharing your lovely music.
Thank you Paul for some great hymns. You must spend literally hours at that console, which is literally hours more than I do😶🙂🙂🙂. I hope that you have a lovely weekend Mr. K🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
I do spend a lot of time, probably a few hours a week.
Thanks Paul. Very nice.
Hello Paul, hoping that you are well and thanking you for another great Lutheran hymn. Some great sounding flutey and trumpety pipes on the organ you're lucky enough to get to play every week. How long have you been playing Paul?
I've been playing organ for 2 years now. I'm actually the assistant Organist, so I take our Monday Night service. I do Sunday occasionally too, and fill in elsewhere at other churches.
@@paulkacanowski Nice to hear and see other young Organist's out there. :)
Great stuff Paul, thanks for sharing. I know it as a different tune as I was raised as an Anglican. But my piano teacher's a Lutheran, she plays from both the LSB and the Christian Worship A Lutheran Hymnal so she might know this tune. Always pleased to support your music Paul.
Thank you. I think the tune you probably heard was the one we have for LSB 457 Jesus Christ is Risen Today. That tune name is "Easter Hymn."
@@paulkacanowski That's it, Paul!
Thank you Paul. A beautiful hymn.
❤Beautiful!
Good job Paul and Happy Easter!
Beautifully done!
Thank you and a very Happy Easter to you Paul
Thanks. Happy Easter.
I still like this one😊
Thank you for playing and posting Paul, hope you are well. What a lovely altar!!
Lovely to hear this one again. My piano teacher is an organist in a Lutheran church and I thought you might like to hear her playing it. It was in fact Karen that introduced me to it! Hope you are well Paul. ruclips.net/video/1lmUAYjccF4/видео.html
I listened to it and it sounds really good.
@@paulkacanowski She has a music RUclips channel of her own Paul: www.youtube.com/@MNMusicMom
Thank you for sharing, Paul. Prayers for you, your music and church
Thankyou.
Thank you Paul. Liked and appreciated. One day I might be able to play like that
Thankyou. It took me 7 years on piano. When I thought that I wouldn't really need those skills, our other organist got Covid and couldn't play for Easter a few years ago, so when he came back, he started me on organ so I can substitute for him. That's also when I started playing our secondary service on Monday nights. I'm self taught so it took a while to work a lot of issues out.
I've seen those hymns in hymnals and they look pretty scary, like some sort of double Dutch! Only a superperson would be able to follow them and get a tune out of all those dots....so I salute you Sir!
That looks like a nice church Paul. Spacious and bright. And ok acoustics
The acoustics sound better in person, because when I pull out all the stops and play, there's about a 5-6 second reverb.
Excellent and awesome.
Outstanding. What organ is this?
This is an 11 rank Moller organ. It was enlarged when we moved from the old sanctuary to the new one. With our new building, it needed to be enlarged. Our sanctuary was built in 2003.
Sounds great!
Wow! That ending!
