Very nice ! I used to work at BBC TV London and also did a bit of programing. The BBC used 'Teletext' data on the spare lines and for a while transmitted 'Telesoftware' on one of the pages. I adjusted a 1inch VTR at the Beeb to record the relevant lines ( by shifting the head switching period around a bit) and managed to get full teletext from a recording. I copied that to Umatic and it still worked :-) I'm glad the US version is still alive too.

I totally figured this was possible with the correct source signals! Thanks for posting this! (and of course, all on SONY gear!)

Just on the very end, it would set the time providing the channel was broadcasting the time. It was not just dedicated to PBS stations. Any network or local station broadcasting the time signal on the analogue channel would allow for auto time setting to work. Time signal was a function of XDS and obviously any XDS data was optional and a station could choose how much, or how little, it would transmit, It's fascinating how much they could fit in the blanking interval, but it was quite limited compared to digital technologies.

This guy is super talented. He is actually beat mixing with proper vinyl records. No computerized cd technology helping him. One of the realist sets i have ever seen live on camera. I wish Carl Cox and Dj Ez could see this guy.

This is the most realist set I've heard in 20 years. Proper 90s jungle/ drum n bass mixed on vinyl with some scratches peppered with a little accidental beat crashing and speeding up record beat match distortion. Makes me feel like I'm back in 1998 1999.

Vinyl, techs and a pro sm3 mixer, back when DJing was still fun.

Hello thank you so much for this. I have Ironrite which recently put really nice casters on and now I have just been working on replacing the cord. Just one small point in your video you don’t mention that in the lower two terminals there are actually two wires that are going to the motor into the thermostat that share terminal where the positive and negative power wires go also so if you open up the terminal and find that there are these two additional wires, just be mindful of that and be sure to put them back into each terminal. And as you say, the top terminal is only concerned with the motor. There are Aaron Wright service manuals in PDF form out there and you can find the electrical diagram showing how the top terminal is only motor in the bottom. Two are both power record and connections to motor and thermostat.

Videos of these are hard to find. My Grandmother had one. Unfortunatly I old enough to rember it but too young to remeber it that well. I do remeber the sound of that motor.
