This elevator is located at the now former Burlington Coat Factory location in Downtown Pittsburgh, PA. This building was the Gimbel's Department Store back in the day. I have finally purchased Final Cut Pro. There is quite a bit to learn, but I am enjoying the process so far. Coulda, shoulda, woulda, but I sure wish I got this program years ago. This is located at Westfield Topanga in Canoga Park, California. I have two takes of this elevator. A security guard was waiting for the elevator when I exited at the end so I abruptly stop the video. There was no communication between security or myself, but I simply chose to play it safe. I filmed a second take after this. That one will be on my main channel, alpalJL, very soon.

They still make 330As (Found some at an apartment building that was installed in 2023) but it’s very rare

I like the red lantern on this elevator. I did not know you were visually impaired, until now. Do you have Albinism? (Just wondering since you’ve mentioned you like the large text, your hair color is white, and you wear glasses. I also like large text and wear glasses too, but I also have low vision in my left eye, but blind in the right.) I’m also visually impaired as you already know from me typing this. I use a White Cane or My Guide Dog to get around everywhere.

fixtures are the best part of that elevator.
The US Grant opened in 1910. I have been in the mechanical room and if I recall correctly they are or at least were Westinghouse. I worked in the building just before it underwent a major renovation in the mid 80s, the two west elevators were still 1910 original manual and the two east elevators had been converted to automatic in the 60s with a cab upgrade. The acceleration and deceleration was fantastic! I wish I had taken more pictures during my brief experience there. I also took a couple of joyrides on the manual freight elevator, too. Good times!!
Wow!! Thank you for sharing. That all seems very exciting. I would have loved to seen the hotel during that time period. It is quite a beauty. I have been in only a few times. My most recent was about four or five years ago.
@@UrbanElevator I wish it could have been in the days of digital photography, I would have had plenty of pictures and video. Well I didn't particularly enjoy the job I was doing at the facility, I loved being able to explore and feel the history of that place.

These have now gotten modernized by Schindler. The now-modded elevators have MAD BS California fixtures and they have a voice that sounds like a genfare farebox.
