The rear tires are standard equipment for the best riding slope mowers on the market (Ventrac), just a different size. Lower the pressures, and you'll see significant improvement in traction. As for the front tires... slicks are great, for ZTRs that are designed for them. Consumer/residential-grade zero turns with those skinny little front tires, need to run something with more rubber (rib tread, or sawtooth) to get avy reasonable wear out of them. If you really want the best tire for zero turns on the market, I suggest Carlise Versa Turf. They're expensive... but you get what you pay for. As for scuffing the grass with bar tires... that has more to do with the brand of ture and the operator. Cheap bar tread (aka "chevron" or "ag tread") tires have sharp corners that will definitely tear things up on a zero turn. On the other hand, Carlisle AT101 tires have rounded edges, that perform much better. Many people still complain about them, but if you're turning your mower LIKE YOU SHOULD (ie. not spinning on one tire), they're one of the best options for challenging terrain... especially where flotation matters.

Put 4-5 gallons of windshield washer fluid in the rear tires, will really help on hill traction, even with the original turf savers. As for the front tires, should have just gotten flat free tires. I've got the same mower. I mower 3.5 acres and have a very steep hill down to a creek in the back of my property. Would not make it up the hill until I just added 4+ gallons of windshield washer fluid to each original turf saver rear tire. The only thing that stops it now going up that hill is if the grass is wet. With the tires you have, I suspect not even wet grass would stop you. Filling the rear tires of any zero turn, or even riding mower is going to give you much better stability on hills. A lot less sliding, in turns especially, and just over all much better traction. The good part about washer fluid is it adds no weight to the frame of the mower which would translate to more weight on your axels which isn't good. The washer fluid is just more weight on the ground, exactly where you want it.

Any unfinished wooden handles always benefit from birch tar treatment - apply until does not dry, let it dry for as long as possible- over a month, then torch it up just the surface - you will have a birch pitch handle. Also, I would have painted inside to prevent rust and metal pitting.

Hey! I just ran across your channel and saw this video. I've been doing lawn care for 25 years. Are the front tires flat free? If not, SWITCH to flat free on the front. Not blaming you but you most likely hit an object you didn't see and created that slice. As for the back tires, I don't think that's your problem. WEIGHT has a LOT to do with holding hills. I have an Ariens that weighs 760 lbs. and it skuds on a hill like it's on ice. I have two Gravely's that weigh over 1,400 lbs. They plant firmly on hills and do not move. Anyway, good video. I liked it.

I just like the long tractor it says what I wanted to do and I can customize it and do a lot more especially on hills and many other things weather 24 horse motor V-Twin and my rider I had not had to do anything with hundreds of hours from 07 on except for change the oil and Blades and for the hell of it I changed the belts this year just a deck belt I didn't even have to do that

New subscriber here. Great video. I've made some changes in my set up as well and plan on doing an "update" video soon. My question is about your truck. Dud you install the fender flares, or were they on the truck when you bought it. If you installed them, what brand are they and where did you purchase them from?

Looks awesome! man, I'm getting ready to do the same thing to my barrow as soon as all the parts get here. Who ever thought one wheel was good enough didn't think about it to much. One thing I might do is put another brace next to the metal piece in front cause I like your other two you put on. What size tires are those? Good job man, your hired.

I have this same model, and I HATE the latch for raising and lowering the platform. The platform on my older Pro-stance could be raised and latched, and unlatched and lowered, without using my hands. Can't do that on these, and it drives me nuts. Also, it tends to not stay locked in the up position during transport.

Yeah I’ve had the same issue. Seems like it will stay up fine when you raise it up but as soon as you trailer it anywhere it falls back to the lower position.
