A simplified homeschool this is my first time watching your video

Love this video! We really like opening a Christmas book each night and reading it as a family.

My son, FIL, & MIL all have December birthdays so December is so chaotic & stressful for me. So, finding stories, crafts, & such to help slow down & focus on what is really important helps me to quite my mind & still my soul. I've been looking for a Christmas unit study to do with my almost 5 yo & 2 yo. A friend of mine sent me a link to the Treehouse one & I'm seriously considering that one. I've also looked at the the Gentle & Classical one but I'm thinking about just getting their Advent menu pages & then doing the Treehouse one.

My family always enjoys completing crafts and baking desserts together.

During December we read from the books ‘The Atlas of Christmas’ and ‘Christmas is Coming’ Both are great for learning about Christmas traditions around the world.

Im definitely going to look into some of these. I've heard of world watch and been interested in trying it out.

You got so many lovely resources. Love the hymns for background music, we play instrumental hymns too during homeschool. Also we loved Little Pilgrim's Progresss, hope you enjoy it as much as we did! 🙏☺️💗💗

Amazon has constellation lacing cards. It is great for the kids to see that it isn’t necessarily like the outline in the sky you have to connect the dots. Also a fun thing I used with my AHG troop is make constellations out of toothpicks and marshmallows.

Games are wonderful to help reinforce those skills in our little ones. I love that you purposely set out to provide those resources and plan for them to go with what they're learning. 🙌☺️💖💖

I purchased the word origins book and had to return it because of the entry on gender.

Great haul! I highly recommend the Professor Noggin games. They have a Reptiles and Amphibians one. They are an excellent way to learn as you play, and there's over 30 versions of the game on just about any science or history topic imaginable. Please do a review of the space and money games. They both look like they'll be really cool to play! For weather and water, A Drip Around the World is a must have book! You follow a single water drop through the water cycle, so there's a seek and find aspect throughout the book. And lastly, Usborne has a series of books called 100 Things to Know About...and they have one for space. Usborne (now PaperPie) also has quite a few puzzle, maze and stickers books in the space genre that we have loved.
