Professor Game is dedicated to spreading the good practice of gamification and games-inspired solutions to foster engagement and loyalty where it is needed. That is why we help educational institutions, companies and the public sector through learning and consulting and have a weekly podcast where we interview successful practitioners of games, gamification and game thinking that will bring us the best of their experiences to get ideas, insights and inspiration to make experiences meaningful.

Let's assume you actually mean to ask what you did. Then, has anyone tried doing that before? If not, why would you want to try that?

It was great having you Michael Plenty of insights from your experience.
You're making a game not a commercial. If your game is good it will sell. Stop trying to trick people by creating harmful habits. Look at all off the best games out there, none of them have this cancerous "monetisation" nonsense.
I understand where you come from! But this is not about creating harmful habits or monetization, it is about using strategies from great games to make experiences "sticky". Think if you are trying to learn a language, you want to stick to it. If you want to create an exercise, you as a user are looking to stick to it (but often having a hard time finding the motivation day after day). Or you want to improve your math skills, and you need to regularly practice! That's what we are talking about.

Danny buys out games, and just uses their assets - mixing them between other games, and communities. He bought out a pretty popular game called vSide, and absolutely let it drop off from the face of the earth. How is this visionary work? It's almost like making Frankenstein's monster. I don't see any assisting here. Whenever I confronted Danny and asked about vSide, he acts like it never existed. Just make it open source.
