@@iheartapple-114 yes I believe the 80s and 90s 90s mostly early 90s were the big boom for the boom boxes. There is a short video on my channel of way bigger boombox from the 80s. I do plan on making another video about the boombox and showing the sound but I have to use RUclips free music to do it so kind of bla

ya mine needs the rockers an cab corners done an it does run good an i payed 2500 for it

I could use some help I’ve never had to do a cab corners or rockers before so any advice would be good. Good advice would be better and cheap would also be good. Since I am disabled.

@@hotboiorlando First thing is those repairs all require welding, all interior, wiring, etc have to be stripped out to clear the way for flame and hot work. Then the next problem is you are only seeing the tip of the iceberg now and when you dig into it I guarantee you will find way more damage than you first thought you had. From that point the project becomes a cost vs benefit problem. To fix it right so it will be a keeper requires big labor & material expense plus massive commitment and must be more about love than economic good sense. To fix it just enough to make it look OK on the surface without getting in too deep is only going to make sense if you intend to flip it, because a half-measure repair won't last. The market probably won't allow a winning deal on a flip anyway with it's age and mileage and the truck not exactly being a highly sought after inflated value classic. Might become that in 20 more years but not today. I restored mine to keeper level and people think I was nuts to do it. I bought a new frame from GM, it cost $3K and that was just for openers. I initially estimated the job would be $10-15K for parts & materials with my own free labor, but after 4 years of mission creep and lots more new parts I dropped about $30K. I became a VIP customer at my GM dealer's parts dept, lol. Mine is low miles, leather interior, supercharged engine, built trans, and more, but still what I did is hard to justify any way other than love. I justify it by reasoning that the truck needed restoration or replacement, and to buy a new full size V8 4X4 would be more than double 30K today, and then it would be something impossible for me to service as well. So I shot the works and saved the truck I already know and love. It looks, rides and drives like brand new. But like I said, doing that was an all or nothing proposition, there was no in between. On mine the rusted out rockers at the rear made a big open hole for the weather to get sideways into the mid gate hinge mount and rear floor area and do a lot of damage. I suspect that is a common problem, and it is not a beginner level DIY. No parts for that, you gotta make your own. Had to hand make a lot of patches in other places and get creative with some fiberglass (glass mat, not duraglass mud) on the bottoms of the rear wheel tubs and the inner structure at the fuel door opening. There was some real heartbreaking hidden stuff I discovered that had to be fixed somehow. I got lucky on some things and other things I had to punt but it turned out OK. Not trying to pop your balloon, just giving you the red pill. One thing I recommend is look after the brake lines and fuel lines right away. Those all rusted out on mine. You can drive it and enjoy it a good long time while ignoring the rusty body but those brake and fuel lines will strand you instantly. I have a bunch of video on my channel talking about my Avalanche, things I did, products I tried, ideas I had, things I noticed. (not selling anything, lol). I did not video any of the restoration on it, but I'm restoring another car now and making some video on that. I learned a lot of things hands-on doing this stuff DIY in my little garage. I've done not just body work on it but extensive chassis and mechanical work too. Ask me anything in the comments and I'll share any knowledge I have.
