I would have begged Peter Jackson to just let me be there, pouring coffee, and doing dirty work for no pay just for this experience. The making of these movies was an experience to remember for everyone involved. Best trilogy ever.

I want to credit, not to distract from the director, the composer, the editor, etc. but just to acknowledge the immense efforts of the producers Barry Osborne and Mark Ordesky. Keeping such an insanely expansive project under control and focused is a job on its own, and I think they were invaluable in that work. Same goes for Alan Ladd Jr. of 20th Century Fox and Star Wars. When the project was close to failing and overran its budget, Alan Ladd Jr. believed in it and got George extra funding, making it the undeniable success story that it today is.
