It never really was much debated during the years following the film's release simply because there wasnt a single scene in the film where it was even somewhat possible to discern that it was brown. The folks at Kenner likely had the same issues determining this as well against the many scenes where the character was drenched in bluish tint, so its understandable that they assumed his parka was dark blue when making the action figure. Even now, in glorious remastered HD, his coat just looks dark in most shots. Back then ppl saw an official action figure that jived easily with what they saw on screen, and, voila...the fandom accepted dark blue Hoth parka Han without question. It wasnt until feedback from ppl who made the films started trickling into the mainstream consciousness that it became a debated issue. I myself didnt learn about the coat being brown until 2015...and thats as someone who's been a huge SW fan since he first watched ESB on the big screen as a 6 yr old all the way back in 1980. In the end, nostalgia driven as it maybe...i still prefer the idea of it being dark blue, simply because it helps Han stand out from the rest of the rebels....and it looks cooler 😁

Who in the world would look closely to the nose details? Nobody does unless if the movie is a close up shot of the dog all the time which it isn't. For example, do you even remember what the main character wear? Does it have buttons? How many buttons? What shape of the buttons? Nobody remembers this nit picky details. When people see something they are not as a whole. Rarely anyone really disect and look closely to a character or any characters. Specially back then when there is no hd or 4k video quality nor huge TV screen to see anything in high res

Its weird because I been using it for at least 15 years now. I remember it as tabasco but when I read and hear tobasco to my brain that sounds like it rings a bell to me.
