Born and raised on Long Island, New York, but migrated south to North Carolina recently while chasing dreams, I'm excited to finally have the space to restore my car. I bought my 1968 Chevy Impala fastback when I was 17, but I am now (finally) able to restore her and share video along the journey. I also do other garage, house, property and project things that I will post. Positive feedback and helpful suggestions are always welcome in comments.
1968 Chevy Impala Fastback Restoration (Teardown Pt. 14, Windshield removal, rear window trim)
[Windshield removal and rear window trim removal] I had to spend a lot of time being mindful and demure while taking out the windshield.. I also took the rear window trim off and inspected the conditions there. Thank you for taking the time to watch and be part of this journey with me. Your kind comments and helpful suggestions are always welcomed :)

Carolina Kev's 1968 Chevy Impala Fastback restoration coming soon!
Yes sur... all is hiding under the windshield... I have the 68 fastback like yours.. and same color. I fixed the windshield area... time and patience my friend.
You will be glad you pulled that windshield - the impalas & chevelles all did the same thing...
Leave the side moldings on 🙏🇺🇲
debating still! what do you think for the body? I kind of want to let it be rat rod and clear coat it as is, but curious what you think
Son los mismos que tenían el programa en Discovery Chanel??
¡Sí! Discovery podría haber hecho un mejor trabajo mostrando una buena empresa familiar.
Wow when I tried repeatedly to do business with them they weren't interested just constantly transferred the call and hung up on me. So fuck them.
I really appreciate your comment lol Once I had a salesperson name, I basically became a stalker until things arrived.. not ashamed to admit I was the crazy ex-girlfriend on this one. When everything arrived right, it was worth the time.
@CarolinaKev at least you got somewhere with them. I just got hung up on 20 times. I figured it was a fake business
I think no trim looks better, hey gotta a question, how do I mount the trim to the top of the windshield. Mine came without it and I just got the piece off ebay.
hey, note from editor wife :) I'll ask Kevin to get back on this question! There is a "removing windshield trim" video in a few days, but I don't think it covers this.
@@CarolinaKev Ok, thank you for responding!
hey Jason - The exterior top windshield trim piece attaches with a series of clips that mount to anchor pins on the body. I can show you with pics/video, but wanted to be sure you meant exterior -Kevin
@@CarolinaKev oh OK. I was trying to get it to hold without the clips and wondering what I was doing wrong. Thank you!
Please keep the trim 🇺🇲
Definitely appreciate these videos, keep em coming!

Alright very Cool. I'm also from LI moved to Durham Co in 2017. Good on you for keepin the Impala all this time. I'll be sure and follow along.
It has been very cool running into a lot of Long Islanders who had the same idea to come here. Thanks for supporting!
Those seats look great. I wish mine had original material.
Progress! I’ll be doing that this summer for a new carpet in my 68 fastback.
That's great! Thank you for watching. Where did you get the carpet from? I will be looking to change out mine.
@@CarolinaKev I haven’t bought it yet, but I’ll be buying it from Classic Industries
