Appreciate the watches! I enjoy looking at upcoming solo games and seeing where solo gaming trends are heading and if any new mechanics or interesting themes that get my interest. Honestly, I do not think there is one I will back either but I am sure some good games that are up certain people's alley!

turn based quake perhaps?

My one gripe of the game so far is without the sleeves the stuff barely fits in tuck boxes - tokens in the tuck box not sure if that's a good call. I have yet to sleeve not sure if I will since the tuck box looks to do damage.

I’m using a hyper x solo cast microphone. Watching back I can hear pretty clear and wouldn’t say terrible. Would you have a suggestion to improve the audio?

I’m excited to see what they come up with and see if it captures what an fps should be like on the tabletop. Hoping for good solo play.

I believe the ST equipment start as "available equipment" that you can draw from for merchants. Eventually blueprints will be unlcoked that then go into the equipment deck over the meta game.

ST equipment starts out in the Equipment deck, meaning they can be drawn from for merchants and/or chests. As far as where to put them during game, they're shuffled and placed on the colored-in chest spot on the Annexe board (The board with the Monster Decks, Blueprint Deck, and your Group Bag). Between games when boxing everything up, they're placed in the small area in the box next to the Deck of Secrets.

Yes, I think I will forgo music in the future during actual play. I turned it down to 0.01 and had my voice to 2 on the volume settings. I guess I could've had my voice to 10. I appreciate the feedback and will be something I will try to change! I did an unboxing of Dead Cells with music but it was mainly over the parts where I am turning over cards.

In the elite fight just after, when the undead archer does its first attack, according to the player aid, it deals "1 damage to 2 different ennemies", so you and the serenade HAD to take 1 damage each. That is what you did, but you said that it was a choice between that or a player taking 2 damage.

In the interbiome, you have to choose to heal, then you can see the equipment and choose to buy or not, then you can see the blueprint and choose to add it to your equipment deck, you have to do it in this order (meaning you have to chose to spend your gold to heal before seeing if it's worth buying some equipments). You can also heal only once, since it shows "1x".

Mmm firstly I’ll keep both as I love rogue type games. In terms of solo and what I’ve played so far I would go with slay the spire if you had to choose. It was set up better for true solo play and I felt the deck building upgrading was happening more often and felt more impactful.

@@agentsolorunthroughs6010 How does the rogue-lite component compare between both games? This game looks to have a lot of possible upgrades and I’m not sure how much there is to upgrade in slay the spire

This is two weeks late and I'm not who you asked but I've played Slay the Spire dozens of times now both solo and multiplayer and Dead Cells I've played 7sh times solo since I got it (just did a reset so I can start fresh with some friends). Slay the Spire is almost a card for card remake of the game. The roguelike aspects of it sort of just make it feel like a normal boardgame (I "die" and replay in dominion all the time) with some light unlocks and an achievement system. A 3 act run basically would take an entire evening. The game is great though, already a top co-op in my estimation. It does everything right and the added co-op element really separates the experience from the video game. I currently rate it a 10/10. Dead Cells feels much more like a rogue-like. It departs meaningfully from its video game counterpart (as it'd have to mechanically) but it captures the feel of the genre in ways Slay doesn't. A run is quick. You start unlocking things off the bat and have more control over what you unlock; in fact it is probably the best part of the game. 7sh runs in and I barely feel like I made a dent in the huge amt of available unlocks but was able to take down my first boss. I'm very curious how this will feel multiplayer (particularly as it handles 4 a little weirdly). As a solo game I'd give it a preliminary 8 but that's being conservative: I definitely prefer this solo to StS for example. My biggest question marks around this one are the multiplayer aspect and how it feels after all the unlocks are done but regardless I'm likely to play it through in its entirety even if that's solo and I suspect I'll greatly enjoy the experience.

Its tough because I went on the original gamefound campaign and a lot of material came in the Tower expansion and other stretch goals boxes. So they hold a lot of content particularly solo scenarios. It seems you can download the dungeon and necropolis campaigns from their site and it is fully playable with just the core box. Inferno came with empowered stats cards but had no solo campaign as of yet.

So I have only played the first scenario and with some of the mechanics withheld (its more of a tutorial) I really had fun. The AI didn't move, couldn't get second hero and town buildings were disabled. But they should come into further scenarios. In just the core only there is 3 solo scenarios. With the Tower stretch goals I believe there is 12. With additional expansions there's approximately 3-4 solo scenarios in each of those. So should be plenty of replayability. I was happy to forgo minis to keep cost down but the only option for that was just the core set. I am very happy so far but I am quite nostalgic for the original pc game.

I hope to get a gameplay in during the week. I have yet to play either this was a live unboxing and will contain spoilers.

So has the "A Wayfarer's Tale" game changed much from original PnP you think? Lands of Galzyr I am still deciding the original campaign I liked elements of the game but didn't pull the trigger at the time.

@@agentsolorunthroughs6010 I watched the playthrough of this new one and while there are some new things going on, the core game remains the same and as I said, to me doesn't justify getting the physical version at that price.

Awesome and love seeing all the solo games that come up on game crafter from week to week, especially the crowd sales.

Shipping is rather large and I am hearing from people all over the world (not just me in Australia). It is an issue many publishers need to somehow address before games get out of reach for many more people than it already does. PnP's I feel may become more popular or perhaps selling a "gamebook" where you bring your own components may become more popular. I am not sure. I don't make a good Nostradamus haha.

@@agentsolorunthroughs6010 Yeah shipping and vat is getting a bit ridiculous, nowadays I actually only back games that I'm quite sure will not come to retail where I'm from (Italy) and so it'd be pretty difficult to get them afterwards.

Big disparity in promotion between the big game companies and indie designers. Happy to talk about all soloable games and wishing you all the best with the game and its sales! I see a lot of self promotion in my FB and gaming feeds but I am fine with it as I imagine I would do the same if I were to design a game one day!

Thanks heaps for watching! Yeah, understandable it is a hard call for single player video games to then bring a solo board game that would obviously cost a lot more. You can play this coop as well up to 4 players but I think I may play it at most with 2 players with a friend of mine who is a Slay the Spire freak from back in the day. But it'd be only for maybe two occasions that would happen. Otherwise, I would solo or play two handed maybe.
