I don't have that option to change the status bar icons back to text. The support page says that feature is only available prior to 2015.

If you are using the 2018 version the model/layout tabs are locked behind a check box in the display settings under layout elements

What does that control?

If you are getting wire number text too large make sure the template of your drawing is autocad electrical. Not autocad electrical IEC.

For those of you who can't find the JIC connectors and other symbols. You have to change your library from NFPA Schematic symbols to JIC schematic symbols by going to the properties of the project (make sure project is active then right click to get properties) -> schematic libraries, click on ADD then browse then wherever you installed autocad go to libs folder then select the JIC library press ok. Then you have to select it and click on move up and move it to the top. Do the same thing again but now open the jic file and select -1. Do the same thing on schematic menu file and you will have JiC symbols like the ones in the video.
