OCEAN EXPLORER
Ocean Explorer is an expedition vessel of Sunstone Ships, operated by Vantage Cruises. Video prepared during last Antarctica season where the vessel sailed for the first time. Original editing was done by our crew member Ariel Mentoza. Drone videos done by me under license from our expedition team taking into consideration all restrictions and regulations of IAATO without interrupting the wildlife.

Small old boat "Skopelitis" was the connection between small Cycladic islands (Donousa - Koyfonisia - Amorgos) with the bigger islands of Naxos and PAros. I'm sorry, but I just can't get past the carefully placed hand sanitizer throughout the ship as well as every single ship employee wearing masks. You might think that this video comes across as the Ocean Explorer being careful and responsible, but to my eyes it looks like a dystopian nightmare. Certainly not something that I would ever want to experience.
Or you can applaud their commitment to the health and safety of all crew and passengers! When I was on this expedition cruise in January, 2023, mask wearing was not universal or enforced initially; however after 12 guests tested positive for COVID and were confined to their cabins, you can bet that mask wearing was taken much more seriously. Imagine paying up to $20K per person for this once-in-a-lifetime cruise and having to experience it from your balcony... Proper sanitation is not a "dystopian" nightmare.

Το 1995 όταν ολοκληρωσε το Venus αντικατάστησε το παλιό Venus γιατί πουλήθηκε στον Στρίντζη. Το 2019 έπρεπε το Venus να πουληθεί στην Levante Ferries αλλά τελικά δεν το πούλησε και το κατάργησε την αγορά.

Εδώ η δυσκολία με τους καιρούς που έχουν οι καπεταναίοι βρίσκεται στο να δέσουν το καράβι στις Κυκλάδες ,έτσι ώστε να είναι εύκολη και με ασφάλεια η επιβίβαση και η αποβίβαση των επιβατών και των οχημάτων. Στον Ατλαντικο τι γίνεται κουνάει παραπάνω?

Can you bring your own alcohol on board this ship? What are the bar prices like? Thanks
You can purchase alcohol from the port Duty free Shops but not to consume in public. Usually the basic beverages (alcoholic and non) are for free. Premium brands are a bit expensive but if you are going to pay 1k USD each day on board the bar prices looks inexpensive.
@@apostoloskak I've been told that the basic beverages (alcoholic and non) are only free at dinner. There is a charge for them the rest of the time (at least for my level of cabin paid for). I will be sailing on this ship seventeen days from now! Really looking forward to it.

Σφίξιμο στο στομάχι για τους σημερινούς 40αρηδες... Η μεγαλύτερη ευτυχία όταν έμπαινες στο πλοίο για Κρήτη, η δυστυχία όλου του κόσμου όταν εβλεπες το λιμάνι του Πειραιά επιστρέφοντας. Λισσος αθάνατο...
