Talkin' Baseball, Baseball in St. Lou
Nice song
RIP Whitey Herzog 1931-2024
Back when the Cardinals were good 😊
Someone please help me out. Who is Slansky? "He had that golden glove of blue."
Marty Marion (the shortstop for the Gas house Gang) was nicknamed "Slats". The line is "Slats he had that golden glove of glue".
@@familyofsteel Thanks.
1. Lou Brock lf 2. Rogers Hornsby 2b 3. Albert Pujols 1b 4.Stan Musial rf 5. Nolan Arenado 3b 6. Willie McGee cf 7. Yadi Molina c 8 Ozzie Smith ss 9. Teddy Simmons dh
I'd still pick The Captain, Ken Boyer for 3B, as Arenado has collapsed, and not as consistent or as strong a hitter as Boyer, 1955-65 with the Redbirds, far longer than Arenado.
Now Gibby's in the hall
Awesome song!
Love My Cardinals ❤
Love this tune
I’m from St. Louis 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊
Remember this?
Very beautiful
This year they became human.
I love watching a historic team. Knowing that the one thing that connects St. Louis is the Cardinals. Sure you had Browns fans but still. The heroes of today like Arenado or Goldschmidt are part of the same legacy as Dizze Dean or Roger's Hornsby. Sure my childhood stars may be gone but they live on in the heroes of today
Just not as outstanding teams as there was with The Man ("no one could match him!"), Ozzie, Sutter ('82), The Captain (Ken Boyer '64 MVP, grand slam in '64 WS to beat the Yankees 4-3), The Baby Bull (Orlando Cepeda--MVP '67, Tim McCarver '67, was #2-vote MVP behind Cha Cha), Chris Carpenter, Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols, and Hoot Gibson (WS MVP '64, '67--3 wins)!
Very nice song about our beloved Rebirds!
RIP Tim McCarvrer.
RIP Mike Shannon, two months after!
Nice one.
The team that is simply amazing year after year
Not this year 😂
Wait'll next year !!! @@GeographyMarmot
@@GeographyMarmotNot this year also!
Great song, but where can I find the one I remember from my childhood in the 60's and 70's?? The only lyrics I can remember were "Oh you St. Louis Cardinals, you high-flying Redbirds!"
Love this! (Parkway North High School)
Wonderful
Awesome!
Well Mr. Burns had done it, The power plant had won it. With Roger Clemens clucking all the while.
Love LOVE this song Thank you sir for making it
I went looking for this song on RUclips as today is the first home game of the year 2021. Being a lifelong St. Louisan, the best part of living here has been being a Cardinals fan. Good song for opening day I also just heard played here on the radio. Go Cards! Go Blues!
Posting it today for the great bob gibson
GOAT. RIP.
There’s an updated version of this
There is?
why aren't there versions of this song for the Marlins , Rays& D Backs? come on Terry Cashman give those teams a shot
2019 and we are headed to the post season. Praying for number #12 world series ring.
The rightfielder...number 25...George Hendrick!
The Man The Man The Man 2:47
"Hey, Gibby would call: 'Hey, just gimme the ball!" Love that about his competitiveness, and equal to the ending, "The Man! The Man! The Man!"
17 went down in just one Fall.....the great Bob Gibson
He should have quit after '74. He was awful in '75 (at 39, 3-10, 5.04 ERA), really pulled down his Win% from .603 to .591, and upped his ERA from 2.85 to 2.91; WHIP from 1.174 to 1.188, ERA+ from 130 to 127 (tied with Tom Seaver--best two NL pitchers for the 1960s, 1970s, respectively), in my picks for the best competitors, they both didn't want to win, as much as they hated to lose--especially Mr. Gibson!
⚾CARDINAL BASEBALL ENOUGH SAID⚾
cool. thank you for sharing Mark
Wonderful tribute, brought back many memories. Thanks for all your effort.
Nice set up and nice music. We're ready for a 2015 video of the village.
I am a braves and cardinals fan ! I grew up in Georgia and worked as a ballboy for the Savannah Cardinals minor league team!
lived in Savanah for a time. Great city. Loved their ballpark. The Sand Gnats were a Mets franchise when I was there. Go Cards!
Why be sorry for the sounds of Locusts in the background?? Those are the sounds of Mother Earth!!
12 in 13 for #6
I love the picture of Ozzie, he must be 3 feet off the ground and throwing to first.
What about McGwire? Single season homerun record holder?
Fake home runs is not in the true spirit of the Cards tradition. I like Mark too, but they probably were best not to put him beside Stan The Man
haywood giblomie the song is from the eighties. and no I won't!
He cheated, he cheated, he cheated! He is no Man, nor anything but a cheater and pretender! Maris still holds the legitimate Home Run single-season record: 61 in '61.
@@tford5360 there are pictures of Holiday and Pujols in the video
Go Mrs. Steel!!!
Must be one Cub fan who viewed this. poo poo on him!
You guys sound great....do you know if they are having this competition again this year? Do you know who to contact to "get in" the competition? you can email us at dopplerfx2@gmail.com or ruhms@hotmail.com thanks
RIP Mr. Musial.
Great job! I'm also posting this on Facebook in honor of Stan the Man...
