Have you tried renaming your roms? I found it gets confused if there's lots of extra characters

I've not tried files with that format myself so I can't say for sure, but have you tried temporarily renaming it to a .sav file, or looked to see if any converters exist?

Yes, you can get any pokemon using PKHeX. Just select the species of pokemon you want, set it to somewhere in your boxes/party and you should be good to go

@ but, when I did a specific darkrai and I validated it, it said all the moves were invalid, origin, og tm, etc etc. Do I still drag it into my box?

@@kissindeath If it allows you to drag it in, you can, otherwise fix the warnings and such. If it has warnings when you drag it in, make sure you don't transfer it to anything like pokemon home, or else you'll get banned.

There is nothing illegal about cheat codes, so feel free to use them if they work

I've not tried with a 2nd sd card myself, but you could see if changing the storage location in the config? If not, you could try just moving the images after the scanning is complete

That should work, it'll just be harder to transfer the roms over to another handheld in the future

@@jflip6k yes you can discard the card if it's unbranded, or if it came with a branded card, you can just use that. Bios files don't come with muos but it's not too hard to find a pack of them

I've not tested Bluetooth, as far as I'm aware, it is not supported on muos currently

I try it work. Make sure you find the title of your game exp 111105 you can find it on the emulator by pressing the game it will show you but in the folder it may show 1105 make a copy put it on you download or make any folder you want of the game before you use the pkhex then open files on pokemon pkhex on the original 1105 open then open the top one not the second file then open the file title then you will see the file showing 000000 or whatever go in the you will see main then touch it then save and you good to go

On the PC version, you just have to change the species and it will automatically adjust the stats as if it evolved. Not tested this on android but I would assume the same thing applies

I've mostly experimented with making legal modifications, but it seems like you can change some stats that would make the Pokemon Illegal. Looks like you can only set legal abilities though

I would assume that this kernel is too new to use for that card. I see that a channel known as Tech James seems to have a video covering the 2018 R4, and I would assume that his download would work for your card. Best of luck!

I've only ever used box art designed for this handheld in particular, but I believe that should probably work. Hope you enjoy your new handheld!

I would recommend trying to output to a different file (maybe something like test.sav) and see what that output looks like. When setting it up, it took me a few tries of pressing export for it to work.

I believe there's been only one major update since I made this video, so it seems like they make updates every few months or so. I'm definitely still looking forward to updates that fix some of these hurdles, as that would totally change the way I use my device

MUOS is great, and its all down to the developers and funders. However for whatever reason they cant get why people would want to connect a controller up to a portable device with "inbuilt" controls. I think we will be waiting a long time

@@OfflineSetup Actually I think in the latest update (released a few days ago) there seems to be added support for wired controllers. I've not had the time to test it myself yet, but once I do, I plan on making an updated version of this video

I've not tried setting up kiosk mode myself, but I can try to look into it. What all have you tried so far? Have you copied that example file to the specified location?

Documentation says make a Kiosk.ini including the scripts inside and change 0 to 1 to disable. Then place the file under (Muos/kiosk.ini ) I did that, it didn’t work.. really wish Muos had a kiosk user interface mode switch like Knulli..

I tried messing around with it, and I couldn't get it work either. Wonder if it's something that stopped working after their latest update or something. You could always try reaching out to the muOS discord to see if anyone has any experience with kiosk mode

@@zackjames09 No worries! Honestly never have tried Knulli myself as I've heard it's better on muOS, but Knulli's kiosk mode definitely makes sense with it being a gift

Interesting, there seems to be some compatibility issues. Have you tried older versions? There also seems to be pkhex web: pkhex-web.github.io/ . I've not tried it myself, but if it ends up working well, I may make a video on it.

I've not tried loading a gen 8 game myself, but you could see if an older version happens to work. Additionally, there's a discord linked on github and people there may know the answer.
