Hmmm... not gonna lie, I've noticed that there's a deeper meaning to the lyrics of this song. When you pay close attention to the lyrics, you may start to realize that there's more to the abusive relationship; other than Maika just being a silly yandere trying convince her partner that she's not scary because she really likes to stab things. What my point is, it sounds like there's loads of emotional manipulation along with the whole yandere ordeal. Like for example: [1:49]. When she says, "There is no way she would love somebody like you," Maika is trying to weaken her loved one's self esteem to gain more control over him. I like the fact that when she says this manipulative quote, her crazy side kind of shows a bit. Cool detail, Duck With A Knife! "Make sure I never cry again" is a quote that shows another traits of manipulation: Guilt-tripping. This part is pretty self-explanatory, but I'll just explain the meaning for the people who somehow have no clue on what guilt-tripping is. Guilt-tripping is when person1 tries to make person2 feel like a terrible person for not giving person1 consent for something they wanted. Ooohh another thing I realized, the repetitive part of the song that leads to the main course [ 0:50 ], the manipulation is less subtle here. Basically, she's giving her lover commands and then threatening him afterwards. And heck, intimidation is quite the strong weapon for manipulators if used right. Unfortunately for the partner, it sounds like he didn't make it out of the relationship alive. He probably noticed the abuse and tried to break up the relationship, but Maika likes to stab things so she probably stabbed him. Sooo yeah, I kinda just wanted to point this out because it shows that not only is Duck With A Knife darn underrated, but also a genius! P.S: I would probably write more about how it shows the relationship is manipulative, but I don't like writing THAT much :']
