You should start to include Counter Strike 2 with competitive settings (medium preset, with High Shadows and Ambient Occlusion on High). That is the most played game in steam, and it is also CPU demanding.

Only say dont waste money on cpu for higher resolutions, only 1080p will see benefits.

since when cpu doing gpu job? :) cpu is just needed high enough to not bottleneck gpu, and games should support most of its cores, if not, less cores sometimes would be better. And why no 7950x/x3d?

Yes the 5600x does bottleneck. I recently upgraded to a 4070 super over my 3070 and found my 5600x was holding the 4070 back. I upgraded to a 5700x3d which is a lot better, but even still I wish I went to a 5800x3d…….i play at 3440x 1440 ultrawide.

Difference in GPU Load. If game good optimized like Tsusima - we can see 99% load in 1440p with both system. If optimization is bad - AM4 can't 99% load GPU even if 4k

need to do proper tests, removed blowsoftwares, tweaking windows update drivers offline before inatall new ones, disable hardware acceleration and index and services and only than doing the testing

Bad test methodology: some options have impact on cpu (like cloud, distance view, number of npcs, etc... even if little like 70/30 vga/cpu, but have), so when you put all @LOW youre misleading the results. if you dont have a RTX 4090 to eliminate the VGA limit, just go to lower resolutions (like 720p) but put options at maximum.
