Wth i thought that was george bush for a sec
Good advice. Dirty bastard
How do you rebuild a motor and use a connecting rod for a gas engine?
And when you think your finished dont forget to weight and get them all the same weights or you will have an unbalanced Eng that will fail
THIS!!!!!!!
Thanks for the kind words
Great tips from people who actually know the tricks 🔥

Thats always a great tip. And a nice upgrade for sure. Thanks for sharing. 👍
i would love to have a free tee shirt, but it looks like you guys and gail can make some fast race cars!
I have used the 92-up magnum starters on several 413-426-440 high compression builds with absolutely no issues.
You want a dodge Dakota starter and it will fit small and big block Mopar
Clearance Clarence
Clearance Clarence 😂
Doesnt work for a big block. Mini starter for some reason will not clear headers. Ive had this happen on twice on 68-70 b body cars
Pretty please?
Give me a free t shirt

Yep! The wood isn't going to transfer the heat.
A couple of smarties here in the comments! To begin with, you wouldn't need to contact your insurance company for a fire from doing this! SHow would it catch fire? Apparently you missed the part stating to use a few coats of a "quality" paint, Which would protect the wood. Not that the carburetor area gets that hot anyway or where the action of combustion takes place. An engine doesn't really get hot enough to catch wood on fire (450°-500°) on its own
Wood has been used for years as a carb spacers in all kinds of racing applications. Go to your local grassroots race tracks and look under the carb if the hood is off. The fuel is atomized as it goes past the spacer and doesnt soak into the wood, especially if you paint it like he mentioned.
so uhm. im not an expert when it comes to hotrodding but. air, fuel, heat, and wood doesn’t “sound” quite safe
It doesn't get that hot if it did. The gas in the carb would ignite wood is fine
TARDO!!!
Plastics have come a long way. But if wood works go for it
It doesn't get hot enough to ignite the wood, that would require about 500° if not more.
Good luck explaining that to the insurance company when it catches fire and burns your car to the ground.
You are joking - right? You have thousands of cubic feet of atomized gasoline flowing through there every minute without being ignited. But somehow in your little fearful mind the wood is a fire hazard. If this weren't so utterly absurd I would almost feel sorry for you.
@@artszabo1015 bad day or something? No reason in the slightest to be slinging insults at this person, unless you know, they were talking to you, but last I checked they never said "artszabo1015".
It doesn't get hot enough for that.
