I mean You can look into it from two different perspectives From Eagle Flies : He saw there isn’t a progress for the tribe , they just keep getting week and week, promises keep getting break from one side, keep forcing them to move from place to another, His strong and prideful character refuse to see what’s happening and remain silent, let’s not forget how the tribe and the youngest people that fight with him Admires and His EGO just accepted to get killed over seeing what happens to his people And I think that he got his *redemption* at the end But from Rains fall : His getting old, his people keep getting week, lost his wife and Son while fighting, his priorities now is his son and the tribe, he knows that *THEIR TIME HAS PRETTY MUCH PASSED , AND THEY DON’T WANT FOLKS LIKE THEM ANYMORE* but he’s trying for peace no matter how many promises they Broke, How many places they got to go from time to time just to make his people live as long as they can without any harms, Hard on him of course But that choice does he have. I wish if their was more missions with them Indians but rockstar did a good job

I learned after a couple replays that swinging away trging to catch micah as much as possible is futile. Arthurs stamina gives out and i wont let micah beat on arthur. The only strategy is to keep your distance, fight defensively, and only throw counter punches. Do this and you can beat the shit out of micah for 5 long blissful minutes

Arthur Morgan with last stage tuberculosis still managed to give a brutal fight to Micah. He didn't win the fight but he won our hearts. Without him getting TB, the story wouldn't be this good. RIP Arthur Morgan ( 1863 - 1899 )

Not gonna lie the shrieking sound sounds like it's from a horror game, plus it seems to represent a dying Arthur doing one last crime.

Tension rises, sides are formed as John comes back and exposes Dutch. 2:39 Pinkertons show up and everyone is fighting for their survival. The gang officially fell apart as former friends have turned enemies. 3:32 Arthur losses his horse on his attempt escape with John. Enraged Arthur decides to turn back and take the fight to to Pinkertons. Diverting their focus and raising hell. Among the chaos John get the chance to escape relatively easy. 3:43 Arthur in his mad state is pushing forward and is now going back for Dutch, Micah and their money. Knowing full well that he has limited time due to his illness. Revenge written in his face, clear intention and with the purpose to get the money for John. Hoping he would be able to get away with it and deliver it to John for his to live on. 4:26 Upon finding the money Arthur encounters Micah and both of them deliver their long fated rivalry fight. With their former camp burning as their background stage of their showdown...a camp they once shared. Arthur scarring Micah in the process but ultimately the fight breaks off when Dutch comes back defeated and exhausted by the events. 5:22 Finally Arthur exhausted and injured is left by Dutch and Micah to rest in peace. With his high honor ending him dying in the middle of the camp of the former gang that he was so loyal to. His doomed fate coming in realization. With his last consolation dying on his terms, with his proud honour facing West as he lays eyes on the setting sun before leaving the world. The true ending. As the music concludes with silent pauses and the eerie violin sequence that comes and goes...a tone that has been throughout the entire piece...constantly reminding us the death looming in the horizon. Arthur is closing in his last moments.

I remember riding lurking around the woods with a shotgun and rifle and pistol just being a complete psychopath killing innocent folks as they pass me by... Close up to the wapiti reservation- i always liked this theme.

Returning to Wapiti. The Men are tired. Charles is devastated. seeing his people annihilated by Oil magnates and 'patriotic' army. Peytah is in disbelief, seeing his brother in arms slowly succumbing. Arthur, in his mind, adds another to his collection of failures in the form of Eagle Flies, bringing a dying young man back to his father. He can't accept. He can't accept that the twenty years of relationship akin to a father to a son, a big brother to the little one, has been crumbled in a matter of months. Arthur is dying. He is trying to make amends. He tried his best to mend the damage and injustice done to Wapiti. He stole meds with Captain Monroe to help afflicted Indians. He saved Eagle Flies' life twice now. Yet, he failed. He carries a dying man behind his back, riding as fast as he can to reach the Reservation. Arthur fails, again. Arthur wants lash out, put one to Micah's traitorous skull, shout his dying lungs out at Dutch. If he wasn't loyal, that is. Mary is gone. Sean, Lenny, Callanders, Jenny, Hosea... they are all dead. They keep dying and Dutch isn't listening. He revels in chaos. He can't fight his nature, that damnable scum. Arthur tries his best to make amends. Arthur is dying. His only salvation lies with John and his family. He will make amends. He knows he can't make up for twenty years of lying, thieving, killing and plundering, but he sees his life clearly and the course he is taking. He will die trying.

people who haven’t played this game will never understand. all the time we had gotten to know and love arthur. all the friends in the gang that had been lost along the way. all the insane stuff that we had witnessed to get to this point. the deep sense of betrayal after dutch turns on us after a whole game of being brothers. the pain of losing our trusty horse the desperation to keep arthur alive. what a story ❤️
