Track day in my Mk1 golf TFSI with DSG, was a cold and damp morning so traction was a issue, unfortunately the outer CV joint failed causing me to loose control at over 100mph trying to overtake a BMW M5, was a great day and loads of fun in the Mk1!

I don’t think there’s much of it left that’s standard to be honest.
What ECU
This video perfectly describes why I took power out of my MK1 GTI to make it more fun at the track. 140hp is pretty much all you need in a MK1 to tear shit up.

Wheelspin machine! At the moment this is capped at a low power due to losing drivability when running more boost, being a old chassis it just won’t put the power down as well as the new generation cars.

I seized my engine at donnington in my Mk5 GTi always run traction switched off 😁
The traction control will see both wheels spinning in the snow and react by locking both wheels brakes at the same time yanking the engine hard on the dog bone mount, crappy system lol
That was quick to 60. Be nice to know the times. Kinda pointless otherwise. Everyone is asking?
