Sonic the Hedgehog: Squandered Potential
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.Год назад
For the record: any comparisons made between Mario and Sonic are purely for narrative reasons, I don't actually think the game series' can even be compared as they aren't even the same genre most of the time. My analogy of "Sonic's Mario 64/World" was only meant as sonic finally meeting his potential. Sources/Links ↓↓↓↓ A far longer but far better review of sonic frontiers - ruclips.net/video/t...

Inktober 2018
Просмотров 705 лет назад
INKTOBER IS FINALLY DONE! This was pretty hard actually but i had a ton of fun making this video, i hope you enjoy it! In this video i just flip through all the days that i did for inktober and then draw and paint the final day.
try RE4 tweaks if you use mouse and keyboard. It changes the feel of the camera to something akin to RE6 (or RE5 if you prefer that) and adds some cool quality of life improvements to the game. It comes with the RE4 HD Project EDIT: I didn't like RE4 at first, but ended liking it later on.
2:24 bro got scared by The Complex: Found Footage it's just liminality, there's one part at the beginning to make you think there's a monster but it's just nearly endless wandering
I have a Ko-fi if you want to support me! - ko-fi.com/benhulter
I want to get into resident evil and ive downloaded re4 2x in my life and bith times quit after 10 min because of how absolutely garbage the aiming system is. It makes it one of the worst games i have ever played by a long shot
Maybe give one of the remakes a shot! the re4 aiming mechanics are definitely not everyone's cup of tea and the remakes overhaul the whole system to be more standard 3rd person shooters and I think they do a pretty good job with it!. I personally just have a fascination with og re4s aiming mechanics because I haven't seen any other games try emulating them even though i think it provides an interesting stop and go pace to fights.
This got randomly recommended to me so i took a shot, pleasantly surprised with some great scripting and editing. Good stuff
Ur artstyle is so cute ur getting a sub :3
That was source but can goldsrc be like source with this liminality?
Your description of being alone in a house normally bustling with members of your family at 6:19 really struck a chord with me. I had a very similar experience around a year ago. Throughout the couple days I was alone in the house, I spent more time in places I usually just passed through. I let the ambience of the house really sink in. During times when I would try to distract myself with video games or movies, I always found myself peering over my shoulder at the empty house around me. It was eerily quiet. Your line mentioning how the silence was always louder than the TV was particularly true for me during this time. The lonely, empty atmosphere of the house was suffocating, and no false company from RUclips videos or anything else could cut through it. That part of the video really brought me back to that time with your vivid descriptions. Really well done.
Half-Life 2 was released the year I graduated high school and it impresses me how well the Source engine has held up after 20 years. My custom built PC, which was new at the time, could chug along at 30-45 fps on medium - high settings. The liminal space feeling of exploring multiplayer maps wasn't apparent to me then, either. But when I think back on a different game, Delta Force 2 (released in 1999), which was all outdoor maps, there was one multiplayer server (provided by the developer Novalogic) named "Doormat" that could host up to 50 players. You heard guns blasting and bullets constantly whizzing by your head every second. You could run away into the infinite and repeating outer perimeter of the spawn points and snipe, if you were lucky. As years went by, the servers were taken down as the game lost its popularity and now all you can hear is the ambient sound of wind and the occasional vulture or eagle when you explore the maps on your own, waiting for players to join. Now that's an eerie feeling especially since it was a very pixelated game.
outer wilds doesnt even feel like a real game to me, it feels like something that shouldnt be possible until the far off future for some reason
❤ remember us when you blow up
Glad the algorithm recommended me this. Great video dude
Great video man. I've just started my RUclips journey and I can feel the amount of effort you put in this. Happy to be your 993 subscriber! I'm so glad you mentioned coop games too 😊
great video man. like the concept a lot, talking about what impressed you and why tells us so much more then another tier list.
Gordon freeman is the most traumatized character in hl2 so they made source engine scary to make player feel like Gordon freeman
Finally a realistic top 10. Random games from random years with random reasons why you liked them
Years ago I was afraid to play GMOD alone on a map. I'm still a little scared.
I heard the setup to the #1 spot and I thought, "I'm pretty sure there's only one game that makes me people talk about it like that..." and I was right. For the record, I'm in the same boat. I played it in 2023 and it changed me in a way that no other video game ever has.
why did i convince myself this was a video essay
This video was so good I died from watching it cause I had nothing else to do with my life. Guess you could say it was a lethal video. like letal cubompany
great video!

You missed Armored Core 6!
Online multi-player makes any game 10/10; glad to see somebody knows wassup
Why the fuck don't you have more subscribers
If I got a penny for every time outer wilds topped someone's _top x games of xxxx_ , I'd be filthy rich
Sheesh another underrated youtuber definitely didn't agree with your take in the beginning of the video but the video was enjoyable enough for me to still like it a lot.
I really hate that everyone's first answer is "it's weird because you are remembering the community". I just got my wife into gaming (I've been playing games since the early 90s) and she got into an empty TF2 lobby and commented how weird it all felt. Like she was being watched the whole time. She has never been a part of a game community. Barely even played games at all, but she felt it. It's gotta be something deeper.
Just by the way you talked about the number 1 slot, I knew what game it was going to me… there’s no other game that makes me feel the way Outer Wilds makes me feel
same 😅
Kenopsia only makes it clear how we humans actually evolved to live in community and with company... not only emotionally, but also biologically (genetically, neuronal, chromosomal and everything you want to add to it), we are designed to NOT BE ALONE and Being alone for too long just MAKES YOU CRAZY. I think the longest we can really be alone, even if we hold out... is a year (but I'm not sure if that's correct or real).
Dude the quality of these videos are so damn good. Like better than some channels that have millions of subscribers. Super glad I you lol
damn i love your style, you deserve way more subs and i'm so glad youtube decided to reccomend you (also love that Furi recognition, it's my favorite game of all time for a reason)
brguhh get more supscribers please
Outer wilds claims yet another #1 spot on one of these lists haha. Glad you enjoyed it!!!
I love outer wilds so much, I played it because Timber Hearth randomly came up when I put on a video game radio station and it was one of the most genuinely delightful gaming experiences I've had to date
PLAY THE OUTER WILDS DLC
DUDE THE DLC IS SO GOOD
Amazing video. I enjoyed watching it til the end

Amazing Video
What an excellently written and edited video. You deserve so many more viewers with these good of videos. I so hope youtube realizes that and has the algorithm help you out
Im getting in before this channel gets big hell yeah
Wait, wait, wait! How in the world this has so few likes with this quality? I may not agree with everything you said but everyone has their opinions and this is a really well made video!
Thank you so much!
Holy shit man this was a 10/10 video, you should have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, criminally underrated
Dude he has 500 views cause he’s made literally 2 videos this year. Blame the algorithm for promoting mass produced garbage and NEVER judge a video based on how many people watched it.
I just ranked ALL games released in 2023.
With this level of editing and commentary I am extremely surprised you have so few subscribers, if you continue with videos like this there is no way you won’t get big. Absolutely great, subbed
I just ranked ALL games released in 2023.
Really enjoy your style, subbed 😌
I love your style dude, keep it up :)
this is a chill video
Really slick editing!
Like Radiohead - not fancy drumming, but super tight and tasteful
