    Are you believing that the ball rolls down the face of the racket at contact or it just strikes in only one spot about a cm long?

    •  10 дней назад

      Thank you for your comment. It depends on various aspects. In what context do you mean?

    • @SeanONeillPong
      @SeanONeillPong 10 дней назад

      Do you believe the ball actually rolls down the face of the paddle when adding spin? Put some chalk or baby poweder on the face of the paddle, do your serve, how long is the contact point? It seems as if you are envisioning a double hit or multi-contact scenario.

    Please!..I beg of you..stay away from this awful (Seemiller) grip. Amost NO ONE uses it. I wasted 10 years of my prime in my 30's playing it. Use/try ANY other grip, the popular 'shakehands' grip (even with Asians) the traditional Asian Penhold grip which is now almost extinct, OR the new & improved REVERSE Penhold grip which I now use in my senior years, and gave me the bachand of my dreams (for my level) which is competitive with players half my age.

    •  10 дней назад

      We like different types of playing styles, it is just a matter of finding the right one for you. Table Tennis becomes interesting if everyone plays a little differently. Then we believe that the sport develops in the best way. Wish you all the best :-)

    I surprised how familiar this guy is with table tennis and English terms but uses the name 'shakehold' grip. It's a *shakehand* grip. Because you are gripping the bat the same way as when you shake *hands* with someone. It's called the "penhold" grip, correct; because it's much the same way that you *hold* a pen. I practised against Rick Seemiller's serve back in the 70. He had the same grip as his brother's. It was a strong and fast wristy windshield-wiper action and I could not read 5 of his serves in a row, even by accident.

    when i play against short pips, I generally loop more with less drive. almost as if the ball has small amount of backspin

      Its different, it depends on the playing style. Try to test different materials, hit the ball with slightly different angles and see what effect it produces :-) Continue to enjoy your table tennis :-)

    The only reason you should pimples is when you completely lose hope on one of your sides to learn top spin , also do that without celebration because you failed yourself, coach and your family

    •  Месяц назад

      @@chebkhaled1985 Interesting answer. Are pimple players less talented? We think that Filus, Joo Se Hyuk, Gionis, Batra, Bergström, Hashimoto, Gaponova, Ni Xialian, Chen Weixing, He Zhi Wen, Falck and many, MANY more world class players are quite talented and successfull and we’re convinced that their coaches and family are proud of them. If you find pimples hard to play against, we have videos regarding this, please take a look and don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe 🏓👍

    My favourite female player is Park Mi Young from Korea. I particularly admire players who specialize in defensive play, like legendary Jacques Secretin. They are rare, they are like preciios gems. And Park Mi Young - to me - has everything it takes. She is a genius of defensive play, her chops "defy" the laws of physics, watching her play is like watching magic. She is my role model, as I am a female and a defensive player, too.
