How To Store Your Harvest Like A Pro
Hello friends! In today's video, How To Store Your Harvest Like A Pro, (VidIQ title suggestion), we take care of the harvests that are piling up in the refrigerator. We make more pickles, tackle the zucchini and peppers, and bag up the tomatoes to make sauce at a later date. I like to shred the zucchini to make zucchini bread, I freeze the peppers as dices or hole and hollowed out for taco stuffed peppers, and I freeze the hot peppers to make hot sauce in the fall. This is a freezer preservation day so we can use the harvest all winter. Thanks for watching!

    Great job preserving! Always like seeing what others are doing. And also awesome pear tree harvest. Even if it's four within your first year planting that's fabulous. What time of year did you plant? Really want to and get one and should have years ago when we bought our house and started our garden out here in Tennessee. I get pears from the neighbors and canned them.

The sauce is yummy!

I'll try not to speed things up so much going forward. The corn video coming out tomorrow is sped up, so hopefully it doesn't do that to you too much. The gopro is one of the better cameras for stability and can handle motion while keeping focus, but then I speed it up so it won't be boring and I guess thats not helping much .

    A pitchfork might give less resistance than a snow shovel. You'll lose some on the scoop but will work much faster.

    • @gardeningwithcaitlin
      @gardeningwithcaitlin Месяц назад

      HI jb! I thought the same thing. I tried it with the pitch fork because it had compacted, but I couldn't get any good scoops and was frustrated with that. Most of the wood chips fell through the tines. I think maybe the tines on my pitchfork are farther apart than other pitchforks. I ended up preferring the snow shovel.
