I got alphacorps and the horseman (might be my fav book of 2024). Was the first yairra book good ?. Cause I probably want to get this new book.

I wrote comics when I was younger. Brown martial artist protagonist with superpowers😅 yeah right as if that would fly. So seeing this comic yeah I started to dream a little bit again.

My favorite Rippaverse Book so far is Yaira # 1 because it goes deeper into the Mythology and outter world experience plus we got a back story on yaira.

I was hoping Isom 3 would be the first book of the year, but I’m not mad about this.

The book was ok. I felt like I read it before from other established characters in the industry so it was nothing new. The art had its ups and downs. The main character wasn’t too bright but overall it was ok. It’s a shame that the two best books from Rippaverse Eric had almost nothing to do with. He doesn’t even own one of them.

I love the SSWL idea and definitely want to see more of it. I do however have a complaint about the Art details of the Wrestling RIng in some of the panels, they just look off and things arent in the right spots in relation to what a real Ring looks like. Having been in the wrestling industry it's something that I noticed right away. But I still love the idea either way. lol

Braxwell may have a lot of STRIKING strength but less lifting strength. The head guy has more lifting and throwing strength.

I don't thnk Chadran is human at all. They are extra dimensional. They are from some region of Hell and likely Hell's version of an Except. There is a reason they saved Isom's backstory for the book where the deep cosmology is explored.

Great breakdown and theories. Definitely co-signed what my wife and I are thinking as well.

Most jaw-dropping moment: Yaira bloodies a cop's face (and probably concusses him) with an ice-bolt. At that moment, you knew that this was not going to be one of those comics where the writer was careful to restrain the violence level where non-supers were concerned. This was going to be high stakes. Funniest moment: Avery collides with Yaira in mid-air. It's so improbable as to be ridiculous, but at that moment you also start to wonder if this is the reason Avery hates the city so much: A superpowered person can't go a block without running into another superpowered person. (This was also my favorite moment in the book.) Weird or confusing parts: Too many to count. But let's go with both Santwan and Avery's inability to count how many fights they've been in. Santwan says three, but it was two. Avery says "three or four" like he can't remember -- you can't remember how many fights you've been in within a 24-hour period, you should've never left the hospital. There was also that scene with two Asian-looking mystery characters inside Darren's club -- we learn so little from that scene that we have to wonder why it's even in the book. Or how about Darren's office scene where he crushes a shot glass and gets handed a gun -- both for no reason? All these moments are recounted in my "final thoughts" video: ruclips.net/video/w5Ope7v8Uro/видео.html. What I didn't like about ISOM #1: We rarely get characters' names. Five people occupy the first scene of the book, and none of them are named -- ruclips.net/video/w7zuVncxMi0/видео.html. We never get Darren's last name. We don't get the names of the two mystery characters in Darren's bar, or the name of the superhuman tailor, or the names of the members of the metal band in the "after-credits" segment. We don't even get Avery's last name until Darren mentions it -- or the name of Avery's *ranch* until many pages after we first see it. What could be improved: Tons. The book is riddled with errors of every possible kind, and they all distract from the story -- ruclips.net/video/YxlI_DDCozE/видео.html.

Eric did mention Avery has history with one of the Excepts in the promotional materials for the campaign, but it also says his history is with Santwan in the story summary on the campaign website and when Santwan and Avery are fighting in the comic in both fights they reference an earlier fight they had. Almost everyone thought the Except Avery had history with was Yaira, but it's pretty clear, at this point, the one he has history with is not Yaira, but Santwan.

It seems like Isom's power gets stronger at night. I agree, I would have liked to see more specific details. Felt like alot being teased with few concrete answers; however, this is the first book and I see this as being a purposeful strategy to draw people in.

I do agree with what the first guy said about wanting more world building. With all of the hype around Yaira I was expecting to see more of her in the book than what we got. The jaw dropping moment for me was those two in the club and the man just turns on his green eyes. I was like “Holy crap! They’re excepts” Edit: I couldn’t listen anymore because that other guys microphone is just killing my ears. You and the first guy’s mic quality was great. But the other dude killed it for me
