Was born in 78 so didn't experience that teenage 80s life, but man with each passing year I am so grateful to have experienced and remember what I do from the 80s. The coming of age movies, the music, the clothes, and just an overall time of innocence. School was great. Trying to sneak a peak in the teacher's lounge to see who smoked, and finding a way to get to the teacher's grade book. I'd give anything to go back and do it all over again.

It's too bad that this movie was centered on such a dark subject, because it captured some great aspects of life back then. The clothes, the Baja Bug, the arcade, hanging out with friends in random spots, the moments like the one in the park...

This was a really disturbing movie, with some big stars; who went on to become names. The way the group of friends protected/covered and normalized their friend's actions was just surreal. The Denis Hopper character, a convicted murderer himself, was the most ethical character in it, as he knew "right from wrong". 🤔

Ha! That movie “A River Runs Through It” was filmed at my High School. At least the school scenes. I too, grew up in the 80s and they were the best, at least compared to now. This music is like a soundtrack to the 80s. Great music, great movies, less people, fewer worries, and we didn’t care if someone had a different opinion about something. The internet has destroyed almost everything. There is a huge drawback to being connected all the time.

I watched the Movie Rivers Edge, shocker. Reminds me, as I grew in Northern Ireland in 1970s and 1980s, Punk Rocker, seeing death and destruction but in between we had great friends and music, one band i followed was Joy Division who became New Order after the death of Ian Curtis. I transitioned throughout the 1980s via OMD, Human League, etc, i discovered The Midnight a few years ago via Spotify, I instantly loved their music and style. The Movie/Song idea is brilliant.
